Thank you for creating this training video. In a few hours I'm going to have to make control cuts for a concrete sidewalk, with nearly zero experience. I believe I will be in a much safer situation after watching this video, and will try to incorporate this video into our staff's equipment training standards. Thanks again.
When I used this machine for cutting rail I was always instructed that never use the machine if a blade was already affixed remove and replace with new blade. 2nd after starting turn away from group team members hold machine perpendicular to ground pull trigger for 30 seconds at full revs to see if problems occur blade explodes etc. Then make cuts is this still recommended
Hi, thanks for your comment. Workplaces often have their own risk assessments and processes that build on the points made in this video, in order to suit their individual requirements. In the video we recommend removing the wheel after use and when in storage to prevent potential damage. The Instruction manual also offers a thorough list of safety checks that must be completed before use, including how to check the wheel for damage. Thanks, STIHL GB
Hi, thanks for your comment. Yes, as described in the video a horizontal cut is safely achievable with this machine. We recommend that you read the Instruction manual before starting work to cover other aspects such as the reactive forces. The most important considerations with this cut is that the kick back areas of the blade, and side loading is avoided. Thanks, STIHL GB
Hi, thanks for your comment, the water feed is located in the cover to be able to deliver water onto the cutting disc. You can see the hose going into the disc cover in the main picture on this page of our website: www.stihl.co.uk/STIHL-Products/Construction-machinery/Petrol-cut-off-machines/21339-510/TS-410-Petrol-Cut-off-Machine.aspx Thanks, STIHL GB
Hi Robert, thanks for your comment. The TS 420 uses the standard fuel mix of 50 parts fuel to 1 part engine oil. You can also use our ready-mixed fuel, MotoMix in the TS 420 too. You can find all of the information about fuel on page 25 of the Instruction Manual, which can be downloaded from the Documents section on this page: www.stihl.co.uk/STIHL-Products/Construction-machinery/Petrol-cut-off-machines/21340-510/TS-420.aspx Thanks, STIHL GB

Thanks for your comment and I'm sorry to hear you aren't a fan of the TS 410. I'd be happy to pass your feedback on to our product team. What is it specifically that you think makes the TS 400 better? Thanks, STIHL GB
Hi Pete, thanks for your comment, but actually programme is the correct spelling in British English (as opposed to American English) and this is the STIHL Great Britain RUclips channel. Thanks, STIHL GB
Thank you putting this together. Every user should watch this.
