And the final of the string of videos I'm releasing at the moment. I shall hopefully be keeping up my more usual schedule of one or two videos still. Ending it off on the Saturday with a Saturnine excerpt, and such a fantastic Imperial Fists one too! Perfect. Remember to Like, comment and subscribe! My many thanks for watching!
You are absolutely my new favorite WH40k excerpt reader! I’m sharing your videos in my WH FB groups because I know anyone who loves the novels and lore will definitely like your readings! Keep up the great work! 👏🧐
Brother... Diaz is not your avg imperial first... He led the attack on the Mechanicum on Mars... The other captain who led on other forge being Sigi-killsChaosForBreakfast-mund himself.. In the name of his Lord Dorn and the Emperor !
@@soldier8100 first time on the internet? That literally is the joke. Demon: Humanity is weak. Average human: 12 ft tall radiating golden giant buff dude. I hope you get it now 😅
This will most likely be lost to the comment void, but I just wanted to say thank you. I listen to this whenever I’m having a rough day - as silly as it is. Being able to HEAR How Camba Diaz held the line against odds, he did for his Lord Dorn. It gives me strength, it reminds me to be as unyielding as Diaz. It has saved me many days, so thank you
I am very glad to hear that! Support is always appreciated, but getting to truly affect someone is a special sort of compliment that I feel honoured to get! I hope the video can continue to inspire as long as you require it to. My many thanks!
@@danielquintonvo Thank you so much for the kind words, and just being awesome. Your channel is a daily for me at work; keep it up! I’ll always be here to watch and support!
On the contrary, he was having a moment of startling clarity. If one can say nothing else about Ezekyle Abbadon, he never gave himself to the Warp. This is why, in what seemed the final moments of the Siege of Terra, when it seemed that their victory was inevitable, Abbadon First Captain came to the realization of the drunken madness which surrounded him, and remembered his first duty to his lord Lupercal.
Ah yes, all show and no go Abaddon. In the "last scene" with Erebus he should definetly should've killed the annoying plot-device but nooo...Abifail is all talk.
Funny enough, there actually is a khornate warband known as The Harvest that sort of act like chaos imperial fists. They specifically seek out planets that are in the path of an incoming ork waagh or hive fleet tendril, butcher the defenders so they can seize their fortifications, and let wave upon wave of xeno skulls come to them.
My opinion Dorn is back in the red desert and has been for 10k yrs, just fell handed now. We'll be seeing Dorn again, I think he's the next loyalist to appear. Him or the Warhawk.
It’s my headcanon/theory that Khorne’s warp influence helped root Diaz and the other Fists in place. For them it manifests as Dorn, but think about what they’re actually doing: Channeling mindset and force of will. That’s warp currency. Having them be washed away by the sheer physical rush would be boring. Abnett knew this as an author and Khorne knows it as a Chaos God. The longer the Fists live, the longer they rip and tear, and Khorne wanted this exquisite banquet of slaughter and frenzy to last. Sure, they’d fall eventually, but the World Eaters were gonna have to work for it.
Lord Castellan Camba Diaz of the 7th Legiones Astartes Imperial Fists, bestowed with the title Siege Master in a legion of natural Siege Masters, commander of Terra's fourth sphere of defense during the Solar War and Commander of the Eternity Wall's Space Port during the Siege of Terra. 8:10 and onwards is amazing, peak 40K. Makes me wish I could stand next to him as his shield-brother.
Listening to this reading has become daily routine for discipline, resilience, realism and swift decision-making, for several weeks now. Thank you for bringing to life such a moving piece.
Holy Throne, absolutely one of the all time best most favoritest pieces of Black Library writing. Abnett nailed every taste and tempo of this scene. Exquisite. Thanks!
Saturnine is packed with fantastic last stands and heroic deeds! For some reason the gathering of soldiers around the banner to face the world eaters berserker stuck in my mind!
Just heard Jonathan keeble's reading of this scene. Both of you do an exelent job, but the emotional impact, and what the two of you emphazise is so different. Your reading really captures the horror of the traitors coming across the bridge, Keeple's really capture the lunatic hyperactive frenzy. I think it's facinating how different the emotional impact is. In the end i feel my experience of the story is richer for having heard both readings.
A secret Camba Diaz buried where specifically if i may ask? We have hacked the 2nd millennium Terran noosphere to find gear it's getting rough with the Cicatrix and all that... (I'M NOT AN ALPHA LEGIONNAIRE THOUGH)
This is quite literally my favorite scene from saturnine the narrator made it sound so INTENSE in the audiobook. I do enjoy the calm Epic-ness of your reading
I hadn't read saturnine, but the whole scene was absolutely chaotic except for the sons of the praetorian. It's culmination with the line Diaz made on the bridge STILL being behind him was fire 🔥!! Not a step back!
In the Horus Heresy Legions card game, Camba Diaz is one of the first playable heroes. Each hero gets a voice line that plays at the start of every match, and Diaz's, while fitting for the Imperial Fists in general, is probably a reference to this scene. *"Not one step back,"*
It was so obvious the world eaters would turn to knorne. They were heard chanting " blood for the primarch, skulls for the golden throne.", during the great crusade.
I'm telling you, I'm telling everybody. This is some d*** good s*** that you are going and we get to listen to that is, if there's anybody out there besides myself which I highly doubt because well Hey, who can we think is real besides ourselves right? But it is so overwhelmingly. Emotion, moving the way that you voice act. The subtle background, one music, 2 effects, the thunder, eccentric Central. I mean top-notch s*** I mean, I would love the whole f****** book man. I'm telling you, I was feeling. Like I was in the footprints of san quinnius when horace was a douche
Ladies and gentlemen... This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an unmoveable object... The unmoveable object backed by his Lord.. His Lord Dorn !
If I hadn't known who this marine is, I would have half-expected this to turn dark. With the narration going on about butchery, savagery, slicing, killing, I thought "in the name of my lord Dorn" would turn into "in the name of my lord Khorne" in the end.
I really wish imperial fists had a better War cry, something like for “Dorn, For the emperor and his throne” or something like that, or maybe “praetorians of terra, do your worst!”

"Imperial Fists are the boring legion"
Average Imperial Fist with a power blade+siege shield+the name of his lord Dorn:
Brother... Diaz is not your avg imperial first...
He led the attack on the Mechanicum on Mars... The other captain who led on other forge being Sigi-killsChaosForBreakfast-mund himself..
In the name of his Lord Dorn and the Emperor !

If you could do olly pious last stand u would be forever happy
"What if I want them to kill me?"
"What if I want them to TRY?"
On my feet. Jumping up and down. Punching the air in my bedroom. Whispering "badass..."
In the name of Dorn.
Haha
He held the line
Nay, he was the line
So basically this man is peak male fantasy
Well.... yeah. Maybe not all of us, but yeah.
Yes, and i'm not ashamed of it.
Since you already are on Saturnine, Abaddon’s full character-analysis via desperate combat is such a phenomenal scene. Would love to see you try it!
definitely dude went to 5 stages of grief
I love where he is calling Perturabo the lord of Shit !
One of the beat scenes in the whole heresy
The way that scene snapped from insanely violent to EMOTIONAL DAMAGE made me pause the audiobook and take a lap
You are absolutely right! It is indeed amazing! Well remembered!

God bless man, hope your doing well. Stay hydrated
Abaddon having a mental breakdown in the end and the death is amazing. “No ones listening!!!!”

Perfect Voice Over

goes until the red

Focus.
You can really tell why Khorne went after Rogal. Although the Imperial Fists let the blood come to them.

'Then out spake brave Horatius,

DEFIANT, UNYIELDING
Not gonna lie, tear to my eye mate. Great fucking job
This video was responsible for the inspiration of a pathfinder character of mine. Thank you for the amazing, and inspirational narration!
I know everyone's going to glaze him, But this guy was a nightmare to go up against in Horus heres legions CG.
I have him but i dunno Fists feel underwhelming. Have only basic cards though.
Diaz be like: "BROTHERS!! WE HOLD THIS GROUND IN THE NAME OF THE PRIMARCH!!!"
Wow man youre on Fire this week! Thank u for your great work!!
Saturnine - maybe the best of Siege.
Superb work. Thank you very much!
It was so obvious the world eaters would turn to knorne. They were heard chanting " blood for the primarch, skulls for the golden throne.", during the great crusade.
The hopelessness of the attempt to defeat these enemies is gut wrenching.
one of the most epic moment in an epic siege. camba diaz was a true fist ✊
Good to know that in the 40th millennium, Cameron Diaz is fighting for the Emperor.
This is M30, and it's also one of the most terrifying things I have ever heard. Dan abnett killed it with this book.
camba, it's CAMBA
Gotta love autocorrect 😂
Such a raw scene
That was fucking great. I thoroughly enjoyed this; thank you very much.
Not. One. Step. BACK!
Thank you.
Loved this!!
The masculine urge to fight to the death during a heroic last stand

Diaz: "I ain't hear no bell"
Out of all the HH books, saturnine is my favorite though I have not read end and the death
Hold up- did anyone catch the name of the guy that Diaz was doing all this for?
I heard it was Ligma
Would you be willing to do va for commission? I wanted to have you read some excepts for lore. If not that's fine :)
Anyone know the time stamp in the audio book for this part?
Is any more stories about diaz
Well that made cardio easier.
🔥🔥🔥🔥

"In The Name Of Our Lord, Dorn!" seems like it would be a good one
Ah yes, the turret spammer himself
Actually Cambian Diaz was always a female Astartes
If this does not convince you that the EPICness of 40k dwarfs ALL other sci fi universes... I dont know what will.
