You know, a long time ago on Twitter someone made a post talking about how D-sides Needlemouse should be Feels the Rabbit and Madonna, but I wasn’t sold on the idea for consistency sake. But they were absolutely spot on.
As shown by Sunky, Fleetway, Sanic, Coldsteel and other characters, the D-Sides team doesn’t give two shits about consistency. They just go for whatever will subvert your expectations most

Also, Fleetway isn’t an EXE so naturally he could be exempt from this rule (same with Tails doll), Needlemouse isn’t an EXE anymore, Fatal Error isn’t an EXE but he was planned to be Mighty too. The rest would be due to lore reasons, I wouldn’t really say it’s to be unexpected.

Her name comes from Sonic’s original name of Mr. Needlemouse, however, as of recent, this turned out to be false as the name was a translation error and was in reality “Mr Hedgehog”. This is Ursaguro, the official D-Sides version of NeedleMOuse, who is possessed by Maddie, Ursaguro is based on Feels The Rabbit, the name given to an old concept of Sonic in the development of the first-ever Sonic The Hedgehog game in 1991 which was a rabbit.
