I too want to switch over to Freelancing as a 3D Generalist & do it as a full time career. Rather than being held back from a regular job that most people go to.
Lori Hil Yes that's true, I'm willing to put all that hard work & dedication into my portfolio, creating high quality work which will attract potential clients. The best part is, I'm gonna heaps of fun doing it as well. :) Thanks for rooting for me as well. :)
Its not always a choice. May be people start Free lancing and doing self employed work largely because people have a hard time getting hired cant find a company that wants there skills enough. The accounting and legal side + a 9-5 and a reliable income are very desirable even if less flexible regarding things like training + many people specialising in different areas should be more productive even with the communication issues in large company's.
+Crunch Accounting Jobs seem to have segmented more there are more legal issues and potential law suits for company s as well as the legal issues for individuals freelances. The economic down turn has reduced spending . I wonder if an equivalent of a student loan to customers for services would be a practical way to find more work. ie a short standardised legal contract saying I will pay X1 amount per hour for this service paid back and adjusted for inflation from X2 % of my earnings over X3 amount per year or when you have X in savings and assets. That way you adjust your rates according to your evaluation of the risk you wont get paid back and get more work. The question is the cost and enforceability of such a contract.
Very informative Video. Yes the freelance revolution is not stopping any time soon. That is why there are more and more great tools being developed designed for the freelancer. Today there are many experts, these people have life experience, not degrees or certificates. If you have worked at a particular job for someone, in their office, you become an expert. More and more people are realizing this and taking the leap to freelance. The market lacks management tools designed for freelancers and that is where VSN has come to realize.
I'm checking out all your links and interviews already! they are great and so inspiring! i've been working for almost a year to build the basis to being a self employee and even though I still haven't earn anything from it I'm really satisfied and full of energy and ideas. It's such an exciting adventure.
omg thank you so much for checking my challen out, that's a part of my ourney to self employment, and I'm Italian so I'm not based in the UK, but thanks so much for considering me. Also I subscribed to your channel at the first video of yours that I watched :D

I am studying MSc Mobile Application Development and I want to be freelancer App Developer in the next couple of Months.. what is the best tips you can give me? Go move in a big City like London or where to search for clients?
+orangedac I know I have to make some websites and with guidance I can become a good web developer ,Manoj.y554@gmail.com mail me if u want to help , I have few friends from Singapore and Belgium who have started just like me. We need a supporting hand
You gotta train yourself. There is no supporting hand. Use the hands you got and research the hell out of anything you need answers using the web. Its hard to make money doing this stuff unless you are really good at graphic arts, design, and other shit. The days of making shitty websites are long gone.
+Giancarlos Bigay if you want a user-friendly site, then www.fiverr.com is your best choice. But in my opinion you will get the best results in www.freelancer.com
Why the devastating music?
I don't think I could ever go back to a "regular" job! #FreelanceLife
+Lori Hil me neither...all those hours for someone elses dream
That's wonderful , That what Im getting into. Congratulations.
I too want to switch over to Freelancing as a 3D Generalist & do it as a full time career. Rather than being held back from a regular job that most people go to.
Best of luck Amrish! Freelancing takes a lot of discipline and learning, but it is great!

Freelancing is tough at first, I admit how difficult it is for me to have achieved what I become today. Great video!
I had a lot of health issues while doing 9 to 5 jobs, i am made for Freelancing
The crisis changed a lot in the mind of people.... starting as a #freelancer is the answer of taking control of your own life

+Crunch Accounting Company s are also very risk advertise due to so many no win no fee lawyers pushing risk and hence insurance up.
thanks for the video. this applies to anyone trying to freelance in any country.

Hi,
I just wanted to say that I really loved your video. :)
I'm a 22 year old freelancer. I make 5.000 to 8.000 USD a month next to my study.
could you please tell me, how long have you been working and what do you do
Web development. Started 2 years ago.
where and how do you get the work though? Thanks
Awesome, what are your qualifications?
I must say that I am quite impressed from this video due to the fact that it is very informative
I am thinking about going into web development and I am sure I will not be paying any tax, no way
*****
that is why I am thinking to abandon my law school and go into coding
You can study and learn coding at the same time ....Don't abandon school untill you finish learning and start working....
or you can burn your boats. e.g. if you leave school to freelance you're going to make the freelancing work rather than having a fallback.
Good Effort (Y)
I'm both working full time and free lancing.
The combined work load is giving me health problems and is going to put me in the grave soon.
Orangesdac can u help me in becoming a freelancer , have studied html, css and learning Java script ,I want to become front end developer
Manoj.y554@gmail.com is my mail id
Start creating a few websites that can compete with the best out there. Then (maybe) you have a shot.
