Hi J! I like this one. She wrote these vault tracks age 16-18 ish. But the production is Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner who produced her folklore and evermore albums (Jack has been with her for 5 albums). So it’s nice she brought these guys in to produce these old songs from the vault.
I think this is a strong country song. “Don’t you “ I think that’s the title is lovely and Bye Bye Baby probably IMO a perfect closer to the album.
I'll try to get around to these! It will probably happen soon/naturally as I plan to go through more of this album.
Yeah, “from the vault” are unreleased songs that were not included on Fearless in 2008. She wrote those when she was 17-18. They are: mr perfectly fine, you all over me, don’t, that’s when, we were happy, bye bye baby.
Hey man, awesome reaction! I'm from Vancouver and your 100% right the background picture reminds me exactly of here. I've really liked her choices of aesthetic in her music lately. Seems very down to earth.
Ah, cheers! Vancouver is always a nice time. Very pretty. I only know it in the summertime but love what I know. Friendly people as far as everyone I met. The city and the nature surrounding it, all very nice.

Yeah, 'the Vault' is basically unreleased tracks that didn't make the album first time
Feel like the instrumention really complements the song's story and structure. It's just very pleasant! (Am I heavily procrastinating by listening to this right now? Yes, yes I am)

@@JSteezy I grew up in New Orleans so I’d say it’s a definite must visit. The French Quarter, the food, the people, haunted tours, swamp tours, Mardi Gras, festivals, the graveyards, the history, the alcohol lol you can just walk around on the streets drinking and partying.
Like any place it’s not always filled with all good intentioned people, so just be safe like you would anywhere else, but it’s definitely a laid back party atmosphere most of the time (pre Covid) and though it’s chaotic, Mardi Gras time is like nothing else! No other place can you witness grown ass people fighting, flashing and stabbing over plastic beads that cost pennies. 😂
@@Kammy-nh8vl I'll have to come with the right mindset. I think of Vegas when I hear about drinking outside as well as some of the other things you mentioned haha.

I am born and raised in Vancouver. Yes the most beautiful city.
Keith urban is featured on the song. Keith has been making music for a long time and in the early days Taylor opened up for Keith too.
She wrote the song back then but was never recorded. So this is the original. She has a large vault of songs that never made into albums. Some songs went to other artists such as Babe (Sugarland) and Better Man (little big town). I have an interesting song for you though that may intrigue you. On Fearless (Taylor’s Version) there is a song called Untouchable she wrote she 17-ish. Taylor has a large catalog as you know... this is the only song I know of that she did not write. She changed it so much so she has songwriting credits, but this song was written and released by a band called Luna Halo, it’s a rock/punk song. I’d love ❤️ for you to watch their video for their song Untouchable followed by Taylor’s version of their song and see what she did with it at age 16-18. That’s the only song I know of in her entire nearly 200 song catalog that originally came from elsewhere. Why that song? Of all songs. What made her choose that song???
