The ages of the Jacksons on 06/16/76, the date of this broadcast: Randy 14, Michael 17, Marlon 19, Tito 22, Jackie 25. Jermaine who recently left the group was 21.
@@nayaforever5955 Michael wasn't 18 yet but he was going to turn 18 in 2 months, so that would mean he was still 17 in this interview. Also Marlon's birthday is in march so he was already 19 here because this interview was made in June.
This is fun, getting to see these old interviews and performances by The Jacksons, those was really good times, good music and lots of variety shows, where singers could perform their latest songs! Sandy Duncan was cute, and seeing as she is now 76 and the brothers are all in their 60s, they weren't that much younger then her, well except Michael and Randy, Michael was 17 or 18 then, Randy about 15!
Diana Shore was truly a fan of the Jacksons I like her for that they were on her show alot .even I missed alot of the shoes wasn't that much into tv was out side all the time making mud pies lol.
Yea 1976 was the year the Jackson 5 moved to Epic records and revived their group as The Jacksons with Jermaine still under and recording for Motown due to his Marriage to Barry Gordys daughter Hazel Gordy. And by this time period Michael's voice was shifting and starting to change a bit to his more mature adult sound
Wait i just saw another episode where Michael performed this same song on this show .I didn't think he would've sang it twice, and how come he didn't do another different song..does anyone know why Michael sang this song twice on this tv show.
Michael was made fun of about his nose. "Big Nose" was his nickname during his Jackson Five days. He had a sensitive personality and he was very touchy about it. Add to that the fact of growing up in whie hollywood, and being under the spothlight most of the time

Michael was 18 here because he graduated high school in 1976 him and Marlon are a year apart.

He was well rehearsed with interviews was told how to answer something PR tuaght them at Motown we all know he missed out on his child hood. So sad .

Michael to say that you are the best is to say nothing. You are mega super BEST.
He was more out going back then
I never knew Rebe's name was really Maureen. Sounds like they all had pet names except for Michael and Janet.

Dinah Shore just said she liked the song and since it's her show, guess she had him sing it twice, only explanation I can think of. 😀
