Hey guys, and thanks for watching this cool bike stunt, performed by a young british rallycross driver. But, we have many more behind-the-scenes videos shot in Matera, Italy, this past September. See all uploads here: ruclips.net/channel/UCkIEqNTQMfhgKRsGvRCogmQ /Thanks!!
@@thegamingcook785 Also Roger Moore did (almost) all of his own ski shots. I think the only two he didn't do were the cliff base jump, and that nasty drop to flat in A View To A Kill.
While it's possible that _all_ of the shots included here were for trial/ rehearsal purposes - and obviously at least the big majority of them were - I didn't see a single jump made without a helmet, even the one where the stunt rider is wearing Bond's suit. That makes me wonder whether he ever did perform it without a helmet. If he didn't, then some CGI would have still have been necessary in the final version of the shot.
I can't believe so many people thought this was CGI, it looked absolutely real in the trailer and at the cinema, CGI never quite gets the physics right and looks slightly off whereas as practical stunts look real because they are.
They are the ones who make you go crazy over these stars.......... Also Jason Statham also performs his own stunt but Tom cruise's burj khalifa was out of this world....... That shit is crazy........
They may do their own stunts but there's no way in hell any of their agents would ever let them do something of this level and that's even if they where capable of doing it in the first place
Veilofmayaa Yes I was captivated as well & watched the scene several times, to the point my wife shouted over, how many times are you going to watch that trailer? ‘it’s really starting to annoy me’ Now I am doing the same thing but watching this video 😂
That’s the problem with modern day CGI. It’s so realistic that when real stunts like this are done, people don’t believe it. CGI takes away the value of real stunts. They should have a statement at the start of the movie saying the stunts you see in this motion picture are real, so people can appreciate them when they see it.
the cgi quality is not yet at such a high level to not to be able to tell it apart from reality. and the extreme moto sequence in the trailer looked real.
I knew this one was real when I saw it in the theater, but it's great to see all the work that when into it - so many takes! The guy had to do it TONS of times, not just once. Which is even *more* impressive.
I had the honor to have them shoot for 3 days in the hotel where I'm working and they where just amazing. This will be one of the best bond movies ever and the most awesome scenes were shot in my hometown in front of my very own eyes. Can't wait to see it in theater
Just when you think you have seen everything in a movie an new James Bond stunt sill change EVERYTHING! Awesome! And it is great how this looks in the final trailer! Awesome job!

I hope in the film they show the landing rather than cut from the back to the landing then the speed through the crowd so it looks like they could have filmed it differently and hid it in the edit.
I have been lucky enough to see scenes shot and it's crazy. They will spend a couple weeks working on a shot that lasts only seconds long that's why it costs so much to make a movie also.
First they built the ramp, it took four days. Then they rehearsed the jump for 3-4 days. He nailed it every time. At least 15 jumps. Then they filmed it in one take on a Saturday with a crane and a massive drone (the angle in the trailer). Just the tech, stunt and camera crew that day, maybe 200 people plus 100+ locals walking in a procession over the square just as Bond lands and he drives through the procession, with the extras avoiding getting hit. It's meant to be like that. Bond then moves on up some tight old stony steps/alleyway. The costs is high for those scenes on location. Then additional costs for replacing the wooden ramp/blue screen (with a large stone formation, seen in trailer) using CGI in post-production. Here's the exact filming location in Matera goo.gl/maps/P123VCQotzBJ1trt5
Thanks for that info. I'm always fascinated as to how these things are filmed and how something that lasts 30 seconds (if that) in a movie, takes so long to prepare. The logistics of movie making is so interesting.
Cool. Check out our Twtter: tweeted out bike stunt pics today, and we have a new but short video of the jump. Only 15 sec. But it's coming up. twitter.com/springhousese/status/1202559388659200003
Triumph owner here as well. About the only thing that the stunt bike has in common with your Scrambler 1200, is the quantity of wheels. That bike has highly modified suspension, FFS, look at the front end on that thing, there is like 14" of suspension travel, lol.
I love that James Bond does these things for real. I hated the "Die Another Day" with all the CGI crap. It was like watched an "Inspector Gadget" cartoon. I wanted to leave when the invisible car came on but my partner wanted to stay. Anyway, well done for getting back to basics and looking forward to this movie. Hope the plot lives up to the look this time.
1:00 Wait, why did they let the Marian procession walk through the scene? Is that part of the movie or just a neighborhood norm? As a Catholic I know that a procession is us taking our faith into the public square, so they should be common. Still, this is an odd sight.

@@pankugautam3379 yeah for a sec I though this could be Daniel Craig but forgot I couldn’t expect all actors do what Tom does
I love that they did this for real, and not some CGI nonsense like they usually do these days. The stunt team should get awards for this scene alone.
Bond series always use real stunts. That's why it looks so good.

I just saw the teaser. I honestly thought it was a cg shot

This is why I love Bond series. Action is as real as possible. And great stunt double!
This movie had live action stunts. It also had a shit ton of CG
I actually watched the trailer a dozen times or more just for this scene. It just stood out! Incredible.

We stumbled on set when they were filming in Scotland. 1m a day, 250 crew and 3 weeks just for about 5 minutes on screen !
