I adore Raven and American stitching patterns they are always so beautiful!! I found you from Megan Seattle Stitcher, I'm not new to stitching but I've just picked it up again after years of only doing it occasionally. Then recently due to some health stuff I've realised it's the hobby that I can do more of and I'm loving that so I've been diving in deep and then found flosstube and I'm obsessed with seeing everyone's beautiful wips!! I love the fabrics you stitch on the colours are stunning!!

Hi Cam! I've been watching for about 6 months. I appreciate all the info you share. My family and I live in the woods and have been feeding the crows and ravens. They remember when people are kind and they come to visit daily for a meal. Love the wildlife we get to see!

Definitely block the bandana! I knit and crochet a lot and blocking is so underrated. it will open up the stitches and definitely help with drape, it doesn't take that much time to do and its definitely worth it!

Absolutely loving your fabric for the Deadly Aquarium. I used to stitch on my Consider the Lilies on Sunday too. There is an old hashtag floating around #stitchliliesonsundaysal (I think?) One motif a week is a great idea for that stitch!

Homie, I would block that bandana. It should even out the stitches and give the fabric some drape. It works best on natural fibers but even if it's synthetic, I'd still do it. It doesn't take too long to dry if you squeeze the water out in a towel before laying it out and you'll probably love it even more after. You don't have to pin it or stretch it or anything, just getting it fully wet and then letting it air dry smoothed out flat will relax everything. 💕
Also, I fully realize you didn't ask for advice so obviously ignore me if you don't wanna do it, but blocking really is magical. :)
I will definitely try that then, I think I was too scared to try blocking for the first time so I was trying to rationalize not doing it 😅

I love the fabric you’re using for the Deadly Aquarium! I’m stitching it as well but stuck with a fabric that was more green like suggested. I’m a new stitcher, but can’t wait to get to Halloween for a better excuse, that I don’t really need, to stitch spooky and raven patterns.

Hi Cam! Glad you found a light you like in have a neck light that I love and I used it a lot at the Queen City Retreat last year. The lighting in the room wasn’t the greatest. I like mine because it’s not just round lights at the end but it has a flat light which is easy to adjust and cast light on a broader area. I’ve been watching you from the beginning. I’m late to flosstube so I was happy to find some new flosstubers because I like to complete the whole series so people with hundreds of videos were very intimidating. I try to do the strand or two a day lately. I met someone a few months ago and we’ve been spending a lot of time together and doing a lot of fun things so I haven’t been stitching as much as I did when it was just me and my cat. Fun fact, in the movie The Crow with Brandon Lee, the birds in that movie were Ravens not Crows. Apparently Crows don’t behave but Ravens are the easy to train. 💜
