It’s amazing the towing capacity that these new mid sized 4wds can legally tow. Did you ever tow before the suspension upgrade? I’ve seen a few newer 4wds towing reasonably heavy trailers and they have the back end sagging severely and the front jacked all the way up. Scary stuff. Good to see the right way to setup for towing. I found it informative and I don’t tow too often.
Thanks Saxon, no i did the suspension straight away as its my wife towing the caravan while i tow the comp truck, so wanted it safe straight away.... The highways are full of that example you describe.... Something must be done before more lives are lost.....
@@TeamBulletOffroad totally understand. Yep something needs to be done it’s very bad. Speaking of this subject someone said to me your maximum legal speed is limited to 100km/h whilst towing in NSW. I hadn’t heard of this rule is that an actual rule?
Disregard that last question answers found here. www.rms.nsw.gov.au/roads/safety-rules/road-rules/towing.html Might have confused it with recommendations and rules.
@@TeamBulletOffroad Yeah, little different in engine sizes haha Ive just sold an NA 3.0L Hilux and looking at a new Fortuner,so im sure it ll be a step up 🤣
@@Hillzy_Eighty7 Ive got a 5L in one of my other trucks.... I hear you mate, the fortuner will be the biggest change to you, they go.... Nice truck....
Nicely done mate. Still sits pretty level.

nice set up man. if you reversed the 4wd on the trailer, this should drastically reduce ball weight?
Copy that mate, good point there...
Whàt bar have you on the Fortuner? Did it have chop for the bar to fit? Regards Richard
