Just wow! I was pretty blown away by the amount of things you can adjust from inside the cab. I know Salford makes some great tillage equipment but have yet to see the Halo explained like this. Great job on the video and hope you enjoyed the demo.
Larson Farms are big and happy with the 2 different Salford tools one in beans and run other on corn. They also have a Salford days video of lot different ones. Ty for the video great channel here!
Larson Farms use a couple of the Salford tillage tools and the same to hold up great. If sure if you reached out to them Chet and Doug would give you there honest opinion.
I enjoyed your review of the Salford VRT. Degelman ProTill and the Kinze Mach Till are good machines as well. Really its what works on your ground and operation. Take care Reese & family.
I believe the reason is he doesn't put out as many videos per week as others do. The videos he puts out are top quality and I really enjoy watching them.
I'm curious as to what the weight difference would be between your case high speed disc and the salford of the same size. It sure looked like it done a great job.
Hey Reese, We just recently had a demo day on our farm with a bunch of brands. We noticed that the salford left sharp ridging under the top soil into the firmer ground which could cause problems for planting. It didn’t seem to matter what degree of angle we tried. We had lemken, salford, horsch, degelman, against our Deere 2680H. We found the Horsch joker did the nicest job. Curious if you’ve tried other brands before and what your thoughts were. Cheers!
would like to go right back in there with a planter and see how rough it is the farm i worked for had one the 330 case disk and it left ot holes of all sizes the with of the tool and it was agressive like that tool
Reece, you mentioned that your dad was running every other pass with you. How did the Case/IH speed tiller compare in soil finish with the Salford unit? Would you purchase this unit, or opt for one of the larger ones, which I assume would have to be pulled with a quad track? The amount of agitation those rigs cause to the soil is pretty incredible, I was around when the first rotary hoe units came out, and we thought they were something.
Do you have to deep rip first wen using a VT unlike a chisel plow? We get alot of compaction no ripper so the VT wouldn't do us any good I don't think?
1 question i have say i am ordering this unit for a tractor on the farm that has 6 scv package can i get the unit without the extra hand control myself i feel it would be way simpler for myself to have all the controls on factory tractor controls
That was a 380 pulling it how much power where you using ? Probably would have been a decent fuel difference in 8 degrees to 5 degrees in fuel use over a full days work .
Now is there any advantage of a a vertical till vs a one all chisel? Does it break compaction as well or is it used in conjunction with a deep ripper before hand?
@@iversfarms yea we just rip the end rows. Chizel plow does our fields compaction breaking on main field but if we ran a VT we would probly have to rip it all . I didn't think it was an option for a one all alternative.
Why didn’t the dealer bring you a big one with all the ground y’all work? Impressive machine but that little one you’d have to work all winter to be ready for spring. Lol
Reese do you think the high speed Salford disk could smooth out shank ridging from a anhydrous bar? Or do you think it will not move enough dirt?? Great video as always and love the different camera angles as always
I think you not able to go fast enough tell Salford engineers you want a tool your tractors can pull at 20 MPH without breaking anything when you encounter a rock. LOL
As usual your videos have amazing equipment, but don't give any real information. Never showed us the soil pan after tillage, never showed the Case IH next to it, never said the depth, never showed different gang angles and how they leave the soil differently, never showed you controlling the joystick. Basically no info.
The salesman did an awesome job explaining the tool. Very informative on how it works and adjustments. 👍👍✌️
Great video for Salford and Ivers Farms! Excellent explanation of the capabilities of the equipment
The gentleman did a great job of explaining the unit 👍👍

Reese, they know how to pick a good salesman! Haven't saw anything that you or your family cannot do! Great video!
That thing flat wears out that bean stuble, like to see how it does in corn residue!! Thanks for the quality video!!
Another great video, thanks for what you guy's do sharing the farm with us. Keep them coming. Thanks again
Here's hoping the Ivers RUclips channel leads to a lot more opportunities to demo and review ag equipment. Thank you 😊
Awesome looking Salford Halo VRT Reese
Excellent video Reese love watching you demo the salford keep cranking them out and I’ll keep watching 👍
Great video and content. Especially love the big, beautiful Red tractor pulling the Salford. Keep up the great work!
Great review Reese, my opinion Salford is the way to go.
That's impressive, I like that rolling basket design, never seen one like it!

Awsome work Reece !! Great video!!
Great video Reese and it leaves that dirt purty
What a tool! And you’ve got great conditions for fall tillage.

Pretty wild tech in the tillage implement! The rep was very thorough.
Not sure why you don’t got more subscribers but great farm content

Good video Reece, very informative!!!
I know one thing. The red pulling it is beautiful.
Sounds like a game changer in tillage.
Now that is Sod Bustin'
I love Wednesday videos!!!🎉
Man does a Great job on bean stubble.
I’d like to see a 40’ behind a quad! Looks like it does a fantastic job..
💪💪
Great video Reese
That's a good looking tool
Impressive
Have them bring one up our way next year, looks good

Pretty cool. I know about the 4200 and 5200 but not the halo. Good stuff!
Be interesting to see if there is a ride quality difference in the spring with the planter.
SWEET SLOW MO EDIT!!

Good afternoon ivers crew.. hey Reese can u do a quick review on the combine trash blowers u guys installed on the combines.. thanks
What speeds were able to run? Did you have to change that much with different conditions?
I went 12.5 must of the time. Just little adjustments everywhere
1 question i have say i am ordering this unit for a tractor on the farm that has 6 scv package can i get the unit without the extra hand control myself i feel it would be way simpler for myself to have all the controls on factory tractor controls

Break out the ripper for compaction. This is not for that

What are the horsepower requirements per foot?
Reese do you think the high speed Salford disk could smooth out shank ridging from a anhydrous bar? Or do you think it will not move enough dirt?? Great video as always and love the different camera angles as always
Can you use the halo vrt in bean ground and corn stubble? Didn’t see much corn stubble work.
I didn't hear what diameter blades you have on your machine and if there was other diameters available. Thanks.
Awesome disc.
Has anyone ever tried to till under sod with one of these high speed disc ?
What is the Price?
How much are Blades ? It takes $8,000 to put Blades on a Deere
How did it compare overall against the caseih you run??
We have one coming this spring so pretty good
@@iversfarms traded the caseih in?
Salford is too small. Nice Video. Love your farming vids.
I think you not able to go fast enough tell Salford engineers you want a tool your tractors can pull at 20 MPH without breaking anything when you encounter a rock. LOL
That is a really awesome 380 magnum and the Salford is pretty cool also
How many hp did that 20 footer take?
I had a 380 that pulled it fine
Why do you till bean stubble?
Thick ground that we’d like to get the fertilizer down into.
Won’t work it in the spring
Whats the hardness spec for the blades-?
Dunno.
left side of halo throwing dirt
Looks like really mixes trash with dirt.
Far too many linkages, hinge joints and parts for independent blade angles.
I'd much prefer the full span of each disc gang angling itself.
atg
👍 i dont like soil compaction.
First
2nd
Don’t look like it’s going very deep at all
Have it set for 3 inch
It’ll go 8

Too small
Does it do as good on corn stalks?
It did real well
Should of got a drone of it
Good video Ivers
