Great guide. We are on this ship soon and can't wait. Hey you know you can stop the flickering of the lights and screens on your footage by changing the refresh rate on your camera. On the GoPro it's helpfully called Anti Flicker and it's in General Settings in Preferences. It's either 50hz or 60hz depending on whether the ships electrics are 50hz like the UK or 60hz like the States 😁
Thanks for the message. You’ll have a great time!!! Yeah, I tried changing the refresh rate, which is usually fine with fluorescent lighting, but doesn’t seem to be that effective with LED lighting. Not sure if it has a different refresh rate or not, or if the GoPro just doesn’t deal with it that well. Cheers and happy holiday.

Great tour, I was impressed by how many bars and restaurants there were. Never having been on a cruise ship I thought it was kind of like an hotel with maybe one or two bars and a restaurant. It seemed like a nice sized ship, I've seen the huge cruise ships that now use Trieste as their embarkation port (since they're not allowed to use Venice anymore) they carry up to 7000 (!!!!) passengers and crew to me that's mind boggling. Also the ships look very top heavy to me!
Those ships are too big for us. We find this the perfect size and we were really impressed with the amount of public spaces there were. Cheers for watching 🍻

This looks like a good time! Everything one really need to enjoy a vacation is included, that's nice doesn't sounds like they were trying to charge you for every little thing. Looked like there was plenty of entertainment which you can't take for granted. Also so important to be able to find 'your spot' what ever your vibe is to really enjoy the vacation. Would not expect a smoking location to be a good place for non smokers but looks like there was a good breeze blowing through. Great tour guys! We saw TUI cruises while we were over there, we might have to look more into them 👍👍

This looks amazing, very clean and sharp! The last cruise I was on, everything was so warn and looked real crappy! I like the interactive boards, and the app you found, this looks very useful. The theatre is awesome, looks very comfortable and since they give you a free drink, count me in! LOL. It's nice that they switch-up the productions so that you don't have to watch the same thing for your entire cruise like I had on mine. Glad you both had a great time, now I want to go on a cruise like this, but my luck I would get another bad one, but the next time I'm going to do my research. Awesome review!

Great guide and tour. It’s got me really interested in marella. How did find the q’s for bars and with everyone on drinks package did it effect the passengers behaviour?😂 I love a good quiz, nice beard by the way.
Thanks for watching. We did often find the pool bar crowded, but right above that was another bar that hardly ever had a line. The Squid and Anchor got busy at night, but we didn't do many night events there. We didn't see any bad behaviour at all, but were not night owls! We would watch the show, have a drink on back deck and then bed! We didn't get a feel though of any bad behaviour on board.cheers 🍻
Thursday 12th October 2023 , we are cruising the adriatic , sailing from Dubrovnik on the Marella explorer 2 , 7 days and then 3 days in cavtat ! And can't wait!! 😅

Not planning on ever going a cruise again (i have the worst sea legs ever). Done two! 🤮🤮 got a ferry in a days time that is giving me night terrors already. This is so informative though and you made it all looked amazing. Good times ❤

Great video to watch! Very insightful. Do you know how far in advance you can book the at shore excursions? Or can you only book them once the cruise has began? Going on a cruise in Feb so I would just like to know now to save any stress😂

Far out, I'd be contacting Marella and asking them about paying for the promo. Brilliantly done. Really professional. You should try and get a few free cruises out of some cruise companies. There are some stupid influencers that get more for less. I might contact you to do some voice overs for my upcoming videos Rach. Wills can take the pictures. Heck, I could just stay home and let you two do it. I'm still not convinced about cruising but I must admit I did go check out P&O for some cruises that leave from Melbourne. They didn't look horrible at all. Although for one 13 day cruise to NZ they want an extras 280 bucks for WiFi. 🙄 Brilliant guide you two. Great work!

They are totally catering to Brits! I’ve seen a RUclips vid of a couple of Americans who did manage to book (it wasn’t easy for them!). But yes it’s a very British ship. Cheers for watching 🍻
There are two pools on deck 11, they are separated by a raised platform used as a compere spot or stage sometimes. They’re not massive, but I think they’re a good size considering the amount of passengers. We’ve seen similar sized pools on much bigger ships. I believe there is a kids pool, but it’s part of the kids club, so your kids would use it if they were on the kids club for the day - I think! I don’t think there are slides into the deck 11 pools. Hope that helps x
am looking at going and i dont drink but i see there is an extra £160 to pay if you want better drinks now do you no if the latta coffee is free or do i need to pay that money to get latta and soft drinks
In the included package - the what we call 'posh coffees' are not included and I think soft drinks in cans are not, but you can have on tap. So if you drink lots of those, then the upgrade will be worth it. If you only have a few then pay as you go would work out better. Have a brilliant time x
Having cruised with Marella many times Explora is our least favourite ship Voyager is not much better but the other three Marella ships are great. in our experience.

No,wait a minute..just got back off the discovery. We done the explorer and discovery when it was R.C splendour of the seas.Very poor marella cruise, bar service very poor, stock limited, service now whoever shouts loudest gets served .Kora la,well, they gave me lamb instead of chicken tikka, chef,yes chef,so called, apologised saying he thought its chicken tikka 😂. Waited 10 mins while wife ate hers while hot and i ate alone on our pre booked romantic night. Limited foods available. Deffo Folks standards have seriously dropped, 67% where first time cruisers. Be aware,do your research, our 10th Marella cruise and 25th with other companies. Happy Cruisin shipmates ❤
Sorry you didn’t have the best time. To be honest we were sceptical as we’ve only ever cruised Celebrity before. We had a great experience though. Service was excellent, stock was great and no problems that you mentioned. I guess either we got lucky or you got unlucky!! Cheers for watching 🍻
Just back from one week on the Marella Explorer, and can only describe it as Benidorm at sea with a lot of Butlins style entertainment, and I'm no prude, I would imagine she will be getting hacked to pieces in an Indian decommissioning ship wrecking yard very soon. A lot of areas smelt of open drains, poorest quality buffet ever seen (on land or sea) with maybe 4 evening choices of very poor quality food as was breakfast and lunch....................The places visited were very nice, but as for the ship its a true saying, you cant polish a turd.
That's sad to hear. She wasn't at all like that last year. Yes she's an older ship, but she was immaculately kept. We didn't do the buffet in the evening so can't comment on that. We found the entertainment to be better than P&O if I'm honest. We're glad you enjoyed your itinerary. Cheers for watching our vid 🍻

Thanks for watching. We did often find the pool bar crowded, but right above that was another bar that hardly ever had a line. The Squid and Anchor got busy at night, but we didn't do many night events there. We didn't see any bad behaviour at all, but were not night owls! We would watch the show, have a drink on back deck and then bed! We didn't get a feel though of any bad behaviour on board.cheers 🍻

Not planning on ever going a cruise again (i have the worst sea legs ever). Done two! 🤮🤮 got a ferry in a days time that is giving me night terrors already. This is so informative though and you made it all looked amazing. Good times ❤

Well that’s how I dry mine - Wills preferred the on the tv method! We had to buy a wifi package, it’s hard to believe there are cruises now that don’t offer it at all! Cheers for watching. 🍻

Great video to watch! Very insightful. Do you know how far in advance you can book the at shore excursions? Or can you only book them once the cruise has began? Going on a cruise in Feb so I would just like to know now to save any stress😂
Thank you so much. We booked all our excursions before we went on! I think pretty much as soon as you get your cruise control info you can book. If you do want to try one of the paid for restaurant, book that too! We didn’t and missed out. Have a brilliant time. Cheers 🍻
Far out, I'd be contacting Marella and asking them about paying for the promo. Brilliantly done. Really professional. You should try and get a few free cruises out of some cruise companies. There are some stupid influencers that get more for less. I might contact you to do some voice overs for my upcoming videos Rach. Wills can take the pictures. Heck, I could just stay home and let you two do it. I'm still not convinced about cruising but I must admit I did go check out P&O for some cruises that leave from Melbourne. They didn't look horrible at all. Although for one 13 day cruise to NZ they want an extras 280 bucks for WiFi. 🙄

Can anyone tell me what the pools are like or whether or not there is a children's pool or water slides?
There are two pools on deck 11, they are separated by a raised platform used as a compere spot or stage sometimes. They’re not massive, but I think they’re a good size considering the amount of passengers. We’ve seen similar sized pools on much bigger ships. I believe there is a kids pool, but it’s part of the kids club, so your kids would use it if they were on the kids club for the day - I think! I don’t think there are slides into the deck 11 pools. Hope that helps x
am looking at going and i dont drink but i see there is an extra £160 to pay if you want better drinks now do you no if the latta coffee is free or do i need to pay that money to get latta and soft drinks
In the included package - the what we call 'posh coffees' are not included and I think soft drinks in cans are not, but you can have on tap. So if you drink lots of those, then the upgrade will be worth it. If you only have a few then pay as you go would work out better. Have a brilliant time x
Having cruised with Marella many times Explora is our least favourite ship Voyager is not much better but the other three Marella ships are great. in our experience.

No,wait a minute..just got back off the discovery. We done the explorer and discovery when it was R.C splendour of the seas.Very poor marella cruise, bar service very poor, stock limited, service now whoever shouts loudest gets served .Kora la,well, they gave me lamb instead of chicken tikka, chef,yes chef,so called, apologised saying he thought its chicken tikka 😂. Waited 10 mins while wife ate hers while hot and i ate alone on our pre booked romantic night. Limited foods available. Deffo Folks standards have seriously dropped, 67% where first time cruisers. Be aware,do your research, our 10th Marella cruise and 25th with other companies. Happy Cruisin shipmates ❤
Sorry you didn’t have the best time. To be honest we were sceptical as we’ve only ever cruised Celebrity before. We had a great experience though. Service was excellent, stock was great and no problems that you mentioned. I guess either we got lucky or you got unlucky!! Cheers for watching 🍻

Just back from one week on the Marella Explorer, and can only describe it as Benidorm at sea with a lot of Butlins style entertainment, and I'm no prude, I would imagine she will be getting hacked to pieces in an Indian decommissioning ship wrecking yard very soon. A lot of areas smelt of open drains, poorest quality buffet ever seen (on land or sea) with maybe 4 evening choices of very poor quality food as was breakfast and lunch....................The places visited were very nice, but as for the ship its a true saying, you cant polish a turd.
That's sad to hear. She wasn't at all like that last year. Yes she's an older ship, but she was immaculately kept. We didn't do the buffet in the evening so can't comment on that. We found the entertainment to be better than P&O if I'm honest. We're glad you enjoyed your itinerary. Cheers for watching our vid 🍻
