This was the most simple, straight forward, and honest review I've seen on this camera. Explained a lot without the time consuming gibberish. Kudos, I appreciate the review. It was very helpful indeed. Thank you.
I too complained about it not having a charger and battery and my wife was quick to point out the amount of times we took the camera out and forgot to charge. Being able to buy batteries on every corner if needed is what people want apparently. Good basic review :)
dunno im torn between hating the AA batteries and liking it. AA batteries are MUCH more convenient yet also are a hassle at the same time. hopefully rechargeable's will suffice much better.
Its a brilliant camera especially if you are just starting out. Its cheap and it lasts long. So happy I bought this last year. I've learnt a lot about cameras since
this happened with me as well! what i did was i used a different make of battery and made sure they were all the right way round, and it worked fine... but it cuts out a lot? i have to carry a spare set of batteries around with me if i'm going to a concert, on holiday etc just incase it cuts out again... so i'm not sure if it's just my camera or if there is just a glitch
Simplycinthia - I am looking for a digital camera under £50. I need to take clear photos of documents like utility bills, passport etc.. Pictures taken on my tablet has been rejected by some of these gambling companies. Any help would be appreciated.
THANKS FOR POSTING YOUR VIDEO I HAVE A QUESTION I NEED A CAMERA FOR TAKING REAL CLOSE UP OF SMALL DETAIL OF MY WORK WHICH IS PORCELAIN WOULD THIS BE GOOD FOR CLOSE DETAIL? BRIAN
Quick question... when setting up a shot in the display does it show how the shot will turn out in the screen before taking the picture? I have a coolpix 8800 I think it is and it doesnt do this.
Hi sandwellmobiles!! Nice review on L810. Can you also review Sony DSC-H100 ?? I'm confused between the two. I'm mainly concerned about picture quality and battery life.
When I get into the menu to choose the megapixels the best one is 16 megapixel with star. What is the difference between the normal 16 megapixels and the one with star? The normal 16 megapixels photo is about 3 megabytes when i transfer it in to my PC and the one with star is about 6 megabytes
It has a timer,but I only get a good blurring on the bg when I use a lot of zoom.I bought one,and now I regret,cause if I had only waited a few more months I could buy a professional one,with a better focusing,but it'n not a bad camera.Just..it doesn't have a manual mode,wich isn't so good.
guys im looking for good quality camera which can not only take photos but it can take hd video (e.g. taking pictures while on holiday christmas etc) would this be good enough?
Not enough info in this review, you didn't really demonstrate many of the features, it would have been nice to see how the different modes work, panorama mode for example? Or what about telling us about the 3D shooting mode, etc? You seem more like a used car salesman trying to sell me a 1978 Ford Cortina, you've shown me round the car pointing out the obvious but haven't actually given me any real insight into the nitty-gritty of the vehicle. Anyway cheers for the effort :p

I have the same problem. The picture has a lot of noise, is blurry, lacks detail, and just isn't very good. I'm feeling disappointed... I hope I just did something wrong, an it isn't the camera...
Remove batteries. Hold power button down for ten seconds. Put Duracell batteries in. (The proper way). Then see if that fixed it. A lot of cameras have trouble with rechargeable batteries as the batteries are often crap. (Voltages off). DO NOT USE EVER READY BATTERIES!!!
For the money its a good camera! not the best camera just good, but like i had said it is a good upgrade from my Kodak and as far as the macro setting i haven't messed with that yet.
Most of the pics I take with mine are very blurry. I don't think this is value for money in the slightest. I had a similar once which was fantastic, this one, not worth the money I paid for it.
Who is this type of camera aimed at? Keen 'point-&-shoot' guy... does he want to buy a spare battery for another 'quarter the price of the camera' or just use AA's he's (she) already got? AA are a MUCH cheaper and sensible option or the occasional user.... and they last MUCH longer eg. my Bridge camera runs all day on one good set of Rechargeable AA's... that's 900+ photos including 75% flash shots! Try that with a propriety battery!!!
its a very gud camera,, excellent in good light condition ,, zooming is gr8,, i have taken many shots,, flower fotographers they can do very good,, landscapes,, pets, birds, every fotots can be taken,, a person must know how to handle it,, btter use a tripod in low shutter speed situation, to achive crispiness thats all, and yes panorma assit is gr8, modes are very gud,, flash are quite gud,, eye blink option is there,, auto smile mode,, and food mode ,, its a point n shoot u cnt chng lens,,,
if u really want to chk the fotos taken by this cam u can see on my page on fb ASK ART N DESIGNER CLUB above is the given NAME l of my page its all taken without tripod freinds,, hope u all will get clear idea,, any queries regarding this are most welcome , u can inbox me on my page

I honestly dislike this camera because of quality and the focus. Selling mine.
