- In today's video, I am currently in Vietnam and I'm going to be flying from Saigon up to the countries capital, Hanoi. I am going to be flying with Vietjet Air on their a330 for the 2 hour flight north but if you caught my last video, things weren't exactly how I'd hoped. So we jumped into today's video where I've just spent my first night in Saigon, after arriving from Bali the previous afternoon. In this video we will start our trip from Ho Chi Minh (Tan Son Nhat International Airport) and board our flight with Vietjet Air, fly with and experience the airline before we land in Hanoi (Noi Bai International Airport). So come along and join me on this travel day as we fly between these two major cities in Vietnam.

I thought the interior looked so familiar. Of course, it is Air Asia X! Haha... It is so strange they only take cash. Far out, feet! I still haven't gotten over my last experience with Vietjet, with the no food situation and all. 😂
Yes! Haha! That’s something I failed to mention… This particular aircraft became VietJet Air last year. I had issues with the payment system online when booking the flight… only one card seemed to work.. not sure, maybe some issues taking international cards.
@@LukeCrisp yes I did have problems booking with Vietjet! They did not accept my Aussie card. Same thing when I booked my LHR MEL flights with Vietnam Airlines!
Hi Luke great to see this video! Cheers 😊
Thanks! 👍
3-3-3 Seating On A330 Most Be Tight.Great Trip Report
Yeah 16inches if width is definitely tight! I think because I had the extra leg room and whole row to myself, it felt more spacious. Cheers for the comment 👍
It is tight indeed. Tighter than the 3-3-3 seating on the 787.
Thanks Luke! Great video!
Cheers 👍
5:26 You are lucky to be in departure lobby. Because this is the boarding gate belonging to the infrastructure of the International terminal. Meanwhile, the lobby of the Domestic terminal will not have such high and airy ceilings.
Nice flight report! Thanks!
Thanks 👍
Welcome @@LukeCrisp
Hi Luke.Another destination for you another pleasant video for me from places where I don't think I will ever visit. But Never say never, who knows.About the flight it was really weird that they only want cash.I haven't seen something like that with other airlines.I have to say that the change of the seat was really nice.See you on the next,Cheers mate
Hey Yannis! That’s it, you never know.. maybe you will get there at some point. Yeah, I think it was strange but I’m sure there’s a reason for no cards. Once again, that’s for the continued support! All the best mate!
Heya, what type of charging do they have available onboard A330 in economy? Do they allow powerbank charging? We are flying Sydney to Ho Chi Minh so need to keep ourself entertained and devices charged 😄
Hey there, as for the charging, I don’t recall there being anything in the seat backs or underneath… generally I charge straight from my laptop which is a good backup. As for power banks, I’m not sure… possibly… but I’d check with the airline first. Enjoy your flight and time over there! 👍
What an adventure Luke-you did well!
Hey Rod! Thanks, it certainly was an adventure! I appreciate the comment. All the best
Another ripper hope the airpods turn up I leave Per October back in the new year For Sing Then BKK Thrn Vietnam back to Thail Trtun to Per New Year's day Going SQ VietJet and SQ Back home I avoid Air Asia and all Indon Airlines Have a sniff at Thai Trains the newer sleepers are pretty damn good and I ca help you out with 21days UNLIMITED travel on SRT that even tyhe Thai rail staff did not know existed for 3000 Baht . When You come back to oz should catch up if your in Perth again
Thanks phil! The AirPods turned up 😆 got lucky! Flew back to SGN a few days later and I picked them up at the hotel. I’ll show that in a couple videos time when I fly Vietnam airlines. Yeah I’m keen to try the trains in Thailand when I get back there… I thought about it while I was there but just preferred the fast travel by air. Ended up going Chiang Mai… Bangkok then down the Krabi. Yeah no worries phil! Can do once I make it back over to WA. All the best 👍
Try not to take the VietJet Air. It's really a bad experience and it'll be the same to you .
