I feel like people in the gacha space hate WuWa & Kuro with such a passion because it feels like an attack, not only on genshin but on Hoyoverse as a whole and their shitty consumer unfriendly business practices, people didn't take ToF seriously as a Genshin Killer but because of Kuro being a genuinely competent dev and WuWa's continued long term success the facade is starting to break on alot of people, Hoyo makes alot more money than they could possibly need to develop good content for their games, they cut corners and and have gotten lazy in their storytelling in HSR and started locking amazing exploration behind 5* characters in genshin without bothering to give good f2p options for players, their greed and want to just cash out on their massive player base is hurting their games, players realize this and hate WuWa and Kuro because of the success they've managed to find in a market rife with predatory practices while being very pro-consumer especially for a gacha game....
From what I know, Baldy (Tectone) is the one to first call WuWa a Genshin killer. And he's doing that even now with Ananta (ig?). These big CCs are the ones that make communities pit against each other. And these days, their content is just the reaction videos, farm drama, react other CCs, etc
Badly dude is the embodiment of "Fight for me". He makes each community murder each other for fun. Instead that everyone minds their business. Instead him just shuting up and crying because we finally get peak flying
he just stirs up drama because he knows he can profit off it, he was glazing Wuwa like crazy when it was new, now you barely see him play it, he knows people will fall for the drama anyways.
Here's a summary on why the hate: -Your game has been going for a few years and you notice that it could use some good QoL. -New game comes and implemented practically everything you ever wanted in YOUR game. -You cannot accept the game has make a small success off of the QoL YOUR game should be getting. -You go to find flaws with the game but it's all like "Colors this, Boobs that, Characters are too sexy, story is bad trust me is not my own opinion but a fact." -You noticed that if you detail your opinion nothing really happens so you masquerade your opinion as facts and go telling it only to people who like the game. -They try to argue about your opinions stated as facts and you play moral high ground and say how they can't accept people's opinions and how toxic they are. -They bash at you for pretty much saying BS but that serves as evidence of their "Toxicity". -You spread this "evidence" around without context at people too busy to verify it. -Congrats, you created a war, now plant some sleeper agents as new game fans and don't let the flames go out 😂
Then the "sleeper agents" actually enjoy the game and just move on. The cycle then repeats itself with newer games. If anything, the self-indulged controversy of one party only serves to market the game for the other. Content Creators are the one that reap the most out of it. Welcome to the Gacha Industrial Complex.
That's a great summary tbh. And it's all started with the "can't accept the fact the QOL upgrade is in a different game". I'd say it's a big work of jealousy to get yourself up against a game like that, but then again, "you didn't love yourself enough to love the others".
I would assume bro was a genshin player cuz i was and has a friend that also plays genshin both of us played since 1.8 and ar 60 and that Friend gave the Same and exact argument all he did was taking the good sides of wuwa like devs listen and fantastic mechanics and making unrealistic scenarios that he KNOWS will happen and ruin the game For some reason some develop a really strong emotional connection to genshin and hoyo games @@KyHeartWill
Accept it or not, Genshin is the biggest sample of sunk cost and stockholm's syndrome in gacha games and Hoyo just had all the stars aligned to their favor when Genshin launched more than 4 years ago. I have friends who still plays Genshin as day one players, they can't quit because of everything they have invested on the game, a couple of them couldn't quit because Genshin helped them get through the boredom of being locked down back in the pandemic and what they all have in common is that they dislike WuWa because they just couldn't let the game they spent too much time, money and emotional investment on get overtaken by something else. For newer players who played Genshin after the pandemic maybe around 2022 you might play both Genshin and WuWa and it's just like nothing and you enjoy both games but, day one players or the pandemic players are a different breed, I am a firsthand witness to what we call in the internet as "Hoyoshills" in real life, after Genshin the only gacha games they touched were HSR and ZZZ Discussing gacha games with them is like being an Android phone user discussing stuff about phones with an iPhone user
I'm one of those examples. Played since 1.0, the first time I spent money on any game that much. That time we had no one to compare to show how shitty the experience was, but the moment I tried Wuwa I fell in love, the devs respecting their players and not treating them shit brought me completely. I almost never open my genshin account now, it still has 30k primogems on it but I don't think I'll completely go back to them.
Well as a Day 1 Genshin player i can say i manage to "quit" the game, i play until i got Arlecchino and heck even with her Signature as well. At that time i already fall behind of the story, and need to do the exploration as well since i just Unlock Half of Fountain. But when i try WUWA is different, i feel fast, agile and such, i even do 3 hours gaming session in WUWA because i really enjoy the find the new things and explore. Even the DEV is really nice as well and hear the Player. There's when i feel "Loved" by the games and start play WUWA more, but still Genshin will had a special place in my heart.
I like Genshin. But it doesn't mean I won't critcize the game just because I like it. I want the game to improve, but instead put those improvements in to their other games leaving Genshin stagnant.
@@cjvaans4484 wish they would listen to the complaints a bit more... genshin could have been so much better than what it is now...I still enjoy playing it though.
I think that WuWa have too much or Glazing or Hate in the RUclips. But in my opinion Ryuuku Sensei vid It's a good criticism video. I agree 100% with his points? no, but a lot of things that he said in my opinion are correct. Stioorg made one too and it's a good vid with some aspects that he don't like or can be improved in WuWa. It's important to know the good and the bad parts of the game and acknowledge then, so the community can put in the feedback to the game, this way the devs can see and if they think it makes sense, they can add it to the game to make it better. But it's important that the vids are good criticism and not just hate without any explanation or fixes. Like the Iyo's post that he says a lot of generic and vague things and don't gives any proves, context, how to fix or delve deeper into the subject, this it's just bad.
I also like that guy's vid about what he hates in WuWa since he gave a valid points and very clear on what he is trying to say but also suggest things to make it better ... like a real critic
Also some people is disappointed by the game direction, me included. Since the setting is post apocalyptic people expecting bleak world not bright/bubbly world. The game took heavy inspiration from nier and death stranding in designing the world but I can't feel the desolation in wuwa it's just too cheerful for post apocalyptic setting.
@@DonQ0its mainly the story tbh the story they had in Cbt1 was a whole lot darker pretty much you wake up in a world where your truly alone and practically nobody trusts you and everyone is cautious of you
Most of the hate comes from players who don't even try to fully understand the story/character's personality or game mechanics and stuff. Instead of at least trying to understand any of this, they constantly repeat the same cliches about "harem" and other nonsense. So it's easier to just ignore them
This. One complaint some ppl have is that "Everyone loves the MC and hes badass for no reason", but a literal godlike dragon reveals that the MC was their MASTER?? And people dont expect this same character to be badass? The same thing can be said about Genshin's MC being able to use literally EVERY element for no reason (not explained yet at least) and even had a deux ex moment at the beginning of the game, being able to cleanse Dvalin (WHICH WAS ALMOST NEVER MENTIONED AGAIN??) for no reason again, but everyone ignores that? Or how the MC casually faces some of the strongest people on the planet and even gods, and gets away unscathed every time while using a shit ass sword? Yea both games have their issues, but when both games share the "same issue" and people only throw jabs at ONE of them, its clear who their favorite is.
I used to enjoy Genshin, quite a lot actually (except paimon), but i quit in 5.0 due to a personal problem, i was expecting a nation of war, not Disneyland
i understand that 5.0 didn't give the feel of nation of war but later on it is the nation of war i too was expecting WuWa to have some kind of depth story but it's just interesting enough that i slept once, i do still hope next region can give a solid story just because phrovola is in there
@@Kozoto11 > Jinzhou foundation, Battle beneath the Crescent, Threnodian war and Mt. Firmament history. > Tethys system Origin and Black Shores foundation > Somnoire creation and purpose "No depth, makes me sleepy" Ok bro 💀
@@Gheniel_I will say that the dialogue writing could improve. It'd be nice if Rover and the character they currently talk to had more banter and disagreements, to make the conversations feel more engaging and flavorful. That and make the overall story be more show, don't tell. More visual storytelling does a lot more than exposition dumps in cutscenes. The Companion quests seem to head closer to that direction, so Kuro Games has potential to really improve on that in WuWa.
Sunken cost fallacy at it's finest. I was a top 100 player in GLB server for Honkai Impact 3, and after the bunny event fiasco (which happened around 6-7 months after Genshin's release iirc) I couldn't bring myself to like Hoyo again. I ended up quitting HI3, a game full of whales and competitiveness, in which I reached the top 100 almost F2P (bought skins lol). Took me 2 years to get there, give or take. It was the first time I accomplished something that "big" (at the end of the day is a gacha game, so it's highly subjective). But they belittled us GLB players with their actions and I didn't want to give them my money nor my time anymore. I knew this was gonna be even worse in Genshin, so I quit cuz same company, same bs. And I couldn't have been more right, as the 1st anniversary of Genshin came up and stirred big controversy. I swore to never play any Hoyo game again, and I still hold my word. Even after that, I can appreciate the quality, or lack-thereof, of storytelling, game mechanics, world building, among others. That doesn't mean I'm going to spend a single second on one of their games though.
You will probably agree with my statement, that next year will be a critical time for genshin. I mean, with the development of gacha games in the past year, Genshin's development seems very slow and even stuck. I realized this after seeing three games coming in the coming year like NTE, Ananta and especially endfield, it makes genshin no longer relevant while wuwa is still growing.
@@histambarawas-tw7nd I believe so. New gacha games are improving or reimagining the formula while genshin got stagnant. The charm it had at the beginning slowly (and sometimes abruptly) faded. Even more so if you add the complete disinterest from the devs to improve the player experience. Genshin was funded by HI3, but genshin was planned to be the star of the show, and yes, it was. Cool characters, distinctive artstyle, but very, very poor gacha system. It's a complete downgrade from HI3. Not even close. I'm excited to see what the gacha scene has to offer in the future. I'm all in on action games, not so much for turn based ones. But to each their own.
One of my actually favourite WuWa contents right now is the National Geography vids, where they talk about echos and areas and stuff. Got to be some of the nicest things I bumped into during all this constant drama and messes.
@@HaydenLycoris i really miss a real content creator like that, when CC make a content like when Fortnite first booming/when Overwatch first came out/apex by making any exe type of content or shitposting type of content that memeable and now its just all drama and critics
@@fallenqiqi4840 There are .EXE hyperedited fun complilations, my guy. Literally got two for Lumi in my recommended. You just gotta press "Like" on the right videos, or just look up "wuthering waves .exe" and you probably will find tons of similar videos. Not all hope is lost. Shit, I didn't even know there even was WuWa drama until a few days, as I been searching, finding, ans being recommended nothing but tutorials, tips, fan animations, and memes of WuWa these past months.
"If you hit people be prepared to be hit back", a good portion of the community has always been annoyed by being punching bag ever since the development for the game started, us actual fans initially didn't really call wuwa "genshin killer" as big CCs like to phrase it and we only ever care about the game getting better, but now we just ride along and pay back for what we got. Personally i only hope this community at least won't show hostility to the communities outside of hoyo fandom especially the genshin one.
THIS! Most WuWa fans from the beginning were just happy AF that Kuro was making a shot at a big open world game. PGR is already fun and generous as F*CK and i was happy to get more of that... then the content farming started with Genshin killer everywhere. Its gotten to a point where if i merely say "I got bored of Genshin and went to play WuWa" people say i'm glazing
@@Gojiradogzillagodzilla It all stemmed from people not understanding that "PGR but open world" is also a valid reason for playing Wuthering Waves. I personally just like PGR and Wuthering Waves, that's it. The game being enjoyable to play and pilot is a plus.
I'm waiting next year for NTE and ananta, let this toxic tourist leave and war on those game. I'm tired. I play genshin since released and follow the good side of the fandom(arts, animations, co-op). Trying wuwa, and I'm really pissed off when wuwa fandom can't discuss about their own game and stop bashing/mentioning genshin 24/7.
@@Menarique-m6i Is it really the actual wuwa fandom though? I thought the people who keep parroting the Genshin insults are strictly Genshin oldies who aren't satisfied with how the game plays anymore or are just trying to find reasons to dunk on the game even if it's irrational. I don't think their kind of behavior even matters in the grand scheme of things either, since it'll just make them look bad once the truth about their history of played games are exposed.
As someone who's covid comfort game wasn't genshin impact, I played it 2 years later and only saw the missed opportunities and wasted potential, poor game design decisions but was never emotionally attached to the game, idk how describe it because I can't say I never liked the game because I feel like if I hated it that much I wouldn't like Wuthering Waves so much, the way the devs would treat genshin and the playerbase used to make me mad and frustrated so I have to have cared about the game in some capacity.....idk....I'm just glad WuWa exists now, for players like me, and it has and always will be a genshin alternative
"Hailed in History as the Honored One" *Shows Camellya doing "Gomen Amanai" ahh pose. I see what you did there. That aside, there's also CCs that had a hand in flaming this gacha wars. I remember Tectone for example, he tends to refer Genshin Impact as a game for kids, which implies that that's the level of intellect that is required to play the game. That wording does have a derogatory implication towards a certain group of players, and I think that's also what makes players becomes so defensive towards their game and offensive towards anything that aren't. The Gacha gaming community space is in a rather bad spot I'd say. At least for those with Action 3D aspects.
I would say that calling genshin out to infantilise the player or even going as far as insulting one's intellect is fairly accurate. And yes people will get mad about it.
@@Towarzysz00 we can never truly uncover if Tectone truly meant it when he said Genshin is for kids, or he is just saying that out of spite to trigger Genshin players. All I can say is that I don't think Genshin is a bad game, I just think Wuthering Waves is the better game. if I were to make a comparison, it's like picturing Dark Souls 2 as Genshin and Dark Souls 3 as Wuthering Waves. By this comparison alone, Wuthering Waves is Superior than Genshin. However when we broaden the list of games in the similar genre, Genshin is still a very good game compared to other competitors in the Market.
@@ThisIsPampkin Majority of these happenings can be traced back to known "content creators" of gacha games, if I'm being entirely honest with you. They need the clicks to stay relevant, thus they draw the most extreme conclusions as long as their content gets the viewing eyes. "Genshin is made for kids," "Devs Listened," "Genshin Killer," "Genshin/WuWa Could Never." All of those stuff? The so-called "content creators" helped propagate them regardless of the videos' stance, be it positive or negative towards either games. Chances are it will spread to other games too no matter what. It's what they thrive in. It's already telling enough when the person who propagated one of those sayings stepped back from being a tryhard and turned into a "casual" because they were actively being a detriment to other people just by existing alongside their audience. It's also not helping that a good majority of people who play gacha games subconsciously act like sports fans when it comes to their favorite teams or in this case companies, whether people want to believe it or not. For most of them, the end justifies the means, or something like that.
It is difficult for me to comprehend how anyone could harbor negative feelings towards WuWa. I struggle to identify a valid reason for such sentiments. While it is true that WuWa is not without its flaws, these shortcomings are relatively insignificant compared to its overall excellence, allowing me to overlook them at times. Ultimately, I am confident that Kuro Games will address these minor concerns in due course.
@@T-H-E_J-E-S-T-E-RSeriously, I'm not exaggerating. I played Genshin for a while, but after Fontaine, I had to stop because it became too repetitive and grindy. I was searching for something more exciting, and then WuWa came out. And that’s how it all unfolded!😊
@@T-H-E_J-E-S-T-E-R yah idk man, been playing since 1.x spent some too, i've been asking for a simple "SKIP" button for repeatitive quest or less important quest for 3years, and still nothing, and i'm sure it's not only me who's been asking for that simple change.😁
@@Primordial_Dark I don't think that repetitive things are good or bad. I've played a lot of Ubisoft games (ex. Assassin's Creed) in that series there are a lot of repetitive things to do. One thing I don't like is the part when doing something for something I don't need in the long term. In this case, it's artifacts in Genshin and other Hoyo game series. Just imagine, it takes me 1 month or more to grind artifacts for one character, while in Wuwa it only takes 1 week of grinding echo to build 3-4 characters (in conditions where the account is already at the highest level)
Played Genshin since day one but quit right before Natlan update and turned out my decision was right, Natlan turned out to be a fukin Disneyland and the characters are such a joke with those paywalled QoL. Good thing i didn't spend more than $30 in Genshin so i could just quit without looking back at it again. I switched to WuWa and i like it more even tho it is not perfect and has it's flaws because i've been playing PGR Global since day one, i like Kuro games because of how good they are with handling their community. Kuro is not just "listening" but also "complying", and this is the BIGGEST different between Hoyo and Kuro. Edit: yes, i also followed and played ALL of HoYo's games since 2015, now decided to just quit all of it because of how horrible Hoyo is at handling their own community.
I’m still playing Genshin and I completely agree with you. Natlan is destroying my interest in the game. The latest abyss requires such a specific team which could only be optimal if you pulled the new character. I tried Wuwa but the story doesn’t resonate with me. I have to uninstalled due to it being incompatible with my phone but i still appreciate the game. Sometimes I do feel like the better game is not winning here.
@@walaska1656WuWa's story is indeed BAD from 1.1 to 1.2 due to the heavy interventions from CN community, but later on the story feels more natural with the flow. My phone is also kinda incompatible to play WuWa since it is a Mediatek Helio G99 chipset, but with the help of custom configs/tweaks, im able to play it with high settings without the game being crashed/forced close. WuWa being the better game but not winning is understandable since it uses Unreal engine 4 which is known to be heavy and really hard to optimize on mobile devices.
@@walaska1656imagine if Kuro decided to make WuWa with Unity engine instead of Unreal 4 and still achive the same level of care and details, that would be overkill. Edit: i mean look at Arknights Enfield, the devs uses the same Unity engine but utilized it to the maximum potential.
@@aldyzero6676I want to say this, but idk about game development. Genshin created before and released on 2020. Maybe we can say it's the first "PC/console like" openworld single-player gacha game that focus on mobile compatibility. So saying wuwa will be better or endfield is just kinda not fair comparison when they released on 2024+. Game like ZZZ (not a good comparison tho) used the same engine like genshin, but the result is far far better genshin. So yeah maybe genshin just old 😂😂😂
I played genshin during launch because i thought they used a great concept (BoTW exploration and world interaction) and used their own spin on it. After dipping into the genshin theorycrafting side i understood that this is a diamond in the rough, given time it would be a huge and great game to play, i had a particular interest in the combat side of the game and hoped a better combat environment would come sooner or later. Fast forward 2 years in, i realized that the devs have made a decision to focus more on the casual fanbase. What i wanted from genshin never came and never would. That's where i dropped the game because it didn't provide what i wanted from the game after sticking through whats basically filler content outside major story updates. Now Wuwa has dropped and has basically solved every element i had been annoyed about genshin for the 2 whole years i played the game. A great combat mechanic with a solid mechanical depth to it, story skip option to skip most filler content i did not care about thus respecting my time allowing me to grab rewards at my leasure, and most importantly a content somewhat difficult for more dedicated players to enjoy. The fact that most characters feels complete, without their respective copies unlike genshin or their sister game HSR is the icing on the cake (at least for now). Not to mention a much more friendly gatcha system, i mean you can straight up buy resonator copies in the shop albeit somewhat expensive. Yes WuWa 5* weapons is a major damage gap, but considering its guaranteed to drop, you can swap the weapon around in ToA, AND you're given a free standard weapon 5 star still makes it a lot more friendly to players as a whole. Whales are gonna whale either way
The last part is so true, I have some friends, that talked shit about wuwa and when I explained the lore, asked where they were... they just started, didn't even got the selected 5 star character And I noticed that psychologically, they blocked their enjoyment of other things outside Genshin
Just about sums up the nonsense around the game, at this point people take a stance just to hate it because they know it pleases their fanbase. Since majority of them dont do gameplay they just rely on the drama for content.
Yeah, its kinda sad. Luckily, people like you and me will be able to enjoy and play the game for what it is. Cant wait to see the crazy things you will do with Carlotta...
@VoidEnigma looking forward to 2.0 so badly at this point, prefarmed and trying to see if I can start dropping 1 day stuff coming 2.0. Carlotta is actually a unit I'm interested in next patch so expect her to get close to Calcharo levels of love.
In most cases people are blindly agreeing to a negative post/video from a content creator without any critical though or playing the game to form their own opinion. Happens a lot and pretty much everywhere lately
I noticed everyone is complaining about wuwa not having enough male characters meanwhile zzz has release almost the exact ratio of male to female characters. Besides the blatant bias and hypocrisy, what makes the situation worse is that the community has championed Kuro games the “devs who listen” and because of that many have become emboldened to speak out there horrible 2 cents of advice they think would make the game better. Obviously, people just need to chill out and let Kuro cook.
Actually; Ryuuku Sensei's video has great points and he genuinely wants wuwa to be better because he enjoys the game. The first time I actually agree with a criticism video because his points actually make sense
where did the term 'genshin killer' originate? such a shame as think you're right... many genshin players automatically took offence and hated it from the beginning. I've got no problem with people who still enjoy Genshin... i played for years but could never go back now because imo Wuwa just a much better game with a company that i know listens to and cares about their playerbase - but what's important to note is: it's my opinion. anyone who feels differently is welcome to their views too. It doesn't make one group right or wrong and it's a shame people get so angry over opinions. I also wish that Genshin players who fall into the 'hate' category for no reason would give the game a fair chance and play it for a while. If they still don't like it - fine... but at least they may feel they do not have to hate it for no reason
Hmmm…🤔 If I remember correctly, the “Genshin Killer” term originated in ToF. They often compare ToF with Genshin back then saying that ToF is a “Genshin Killer”. That was like what? 2 years ago, 3? So yeah, people are looking for a “Genshin Killer” even back then. It’s a pretty old Title.
@@xyreanev2.067 and then CC's used it to make drama videos, putting heavy weight of expectations on ToF. Someone even said the devs advertised the game as Genshin killer making alot of people believe it, but it was a lie, the tof devs never did that, they were just incompetent, not stupid.
It’s the content creators who are stoking the flames more than the “players” do. Sometimes, it’s easy to ignore how content creators can influence thousands of people’s opinion over something even for those people who have zero idea about the game in question. While these content creators raise some valid points, some of them just can’t help but stir discord between communities for the sake of viewership and following, which also makes it hard for those who are influenced to form their own opinions given how quick communities can resort to mob lynching if one even tries to go against the grain and raise their own take.
By this moment I've tried all 3 Hoyo's Gacha as well as Kuro's WuWa & all have something better over another & it's fact that a product that was launched at a later date should be better than the ones before it in some if not all aspects & if such thing is not present then it's an issue.
Cause WuWa players (not all) attack anyone, even the underdog Tower of Fantasy. Look at ToF videos. At least 1 or 2 comments would say. "ToF dead game. Just play WuWa". My guess is that a number of Genshin Karens moved to WuWa

Alright I'll bite. I don't really play WuWa (the combat's an issue), but back when the game was still in development I lamented the fact that it was getting so much traction, at least part of me did. Kuro is an amazing company, imo, they can do no wrong, but around the time CBT2 was on the horizon, the toxicity of all of the people from the once niche fandom started pouring in. Don't get me wrong, a larger part of me is happy that WuWa is doing so well, because Kuro deserves all of their success x10, but people, back then, were hating on it. It was like whiplash. At least when nobody took the game seriously, the niche community was alot more wholesome and constructive, though there was toxicity back then too. **Despite all of that, and despite the constant Kuro hate, I'm happy it got so popular. ** **I understand why the combat is a downgrade from PGR. Your average PGR player (me) is basically foaming at the mouth trying to nohit event bosses as Lotus. There's like 2000 of us and we can't afford to keep a large budget game funded.** **I understand why they couldn't just outright say it was a continuation of PGR because WuWa itself IS a massive PGR spoiler, and PGR itself is a massive WuWa spoiler. ** **I understand why I couldn't have open world PGR, because robot waif does not appeal to the masses. ** Now that I've successfully baited you, yes. I think WuWa is doing great. When I played at launch I think it was honestly the most polished thing I've seen from Kuro, and that quality is trickling down (eventually) to PGR as well. I find the toxicity about the game atrocious, and I think most people who open their mouths about it, either in defending or condemning it, either miss the point, or should be forced to read Surviving Lucem because clearly they like the pain. I'll spell it out, in the simplest terms. Kuro has the feel of a grassroots studio because that's exactly what Kuro started as, and still is. It's rough around the edges, but has more personality, even if the only brand deals they can get are around various brands of tea and sunflower seeds. Because of this, Kuro has the most passionate fandom who will cry Kurover when PGR does anything short of what they think is perfect, while continuing to support and make content about it. Kuro is the DE to Hoyo's Bungie. The Riot to Hoyo's Blizzard. One will genuinely let the players down, while the other only gets accused of doing so while turning soot into absolute diamonds, at least for the next decade or so.
I'm going to say your comment is actually a good read, but I think more one comparison for kuro games to mihoyo would be the valve/steam to the epicgames. well since kuro games being valve/steam and mihoyo being epicgames.
I agree with your imply statement about the long term support, bcs i think kuro plays "better as the time goes". Pgr in its early state is kinda same with wuwa too, with bugs and some inconvenience here and there, but the difference is the wuwa kinda takes longer time to "establish" itself bcs the nature of the game production itself vs the pgr one that are more shorter imo. But now look at the state of pgr, it's getting better and better overall in long term. I think wuwa will get its time in the future too. And i think we just need to wait the wuwa version of the alpha rosetta one or alpha cw the twins that feels "one hit wonder" so ppl can realize wuwa "personality" too.
I quit Genshin when the country that I've been waiting for so long turns out to be very opposite of what I was expecting... Yes, it's Natlan. I enjoyed Inazuma on how it portrays a country on a power struggle of a Shogun and the Resistance, abandoned towns, chaos on many parts, remnants of war, and a war itself. Natlan is huge letdown, they are so colorful and jolly for a nation in a state of eternal war. And WuWa, I'm qute disappointed because they revert the dark themed in a apocalypse theme to a colorful one, but it's just colors so filters can do tricks. (I will not mention the QoL and gacha because WuWa takes all the W's)
If you like that style more arknights endfield is more to ur style and if you include games outside openworld. Limus and girls frontline 2 will also fit.
I've started Natlan quest but not finished it, but it didn't really match my expectations except for how the spirituality of the people was portrayed. However, that's still superior to WuWa because WuWa just has the crumbs of a story, not a whole story. It is less coherent than Genshin's. Kuro should not have sacked the guy who wrote the CBT1 story, they should have sacked the guy who demanded that it be a glazefest where Rover is the creator of everything and gets all the chicks instead.
Unfortunately, Inazuma's Archon Quest was horribly-written and rushed to hell, especially in the final act. Huge waste of any SORT of potential, and the future Story Quests were garbage in execution too. No meaningful build-up whatsoever, especially for that power struggle that did nothing. What a pathetic showcasing of war in that case.
@@kranichkrone "However, that's still superior to WuWa because WuWa just has the crumbs of the story, not a whole story" Then tell me, what's the deal with Tsaritsa and the Fatui??? How about Dainsleif??? Or your Abyss twin??? LOL, stupid argument...
I love how most of someone who hate wuwa normally they complain small thing while pgr player so happy with every patch like i never seen someone literally complain about wuwa in pgr comunity 😂
"Story is shit" is understandable... at least at the begining? Getting to know some more backstory of the Rover and the Shorekeeper was f*cking amazing. I loved the map and how it was laid out for the player. Yea the waifu moment was arguably a bit forced but it was very nice overrall.
Yeah, I like the story a lot actually, its just sad that people say the story sucks after the first few acts. The finale for 1.0 was great, and 1.3 was by far my favorite update. Even so, which gacha game has an amazing story all the way from start to finish. It normally takes a second to build up, and Wuthering starts to shape up once Scar is introduced.
@@VoidEnigma I love Shorekeeper as a concept, but the execution (i.e. the mechanics of the storytelling) of the Black Shores storyline was so clumsy that I only remember how it kept trying its absolute best to fall flat on its face, and only the fact that I wanted to like Shorekeeper kept it from succeeding. You're dragged from one flat contrivance to another with bad reactions from all the secondary characters, and the plot has such weak buildup and justification that trying to think about it leaves me feeling disenchanted. Oh, and the scene where Rover bickers with Tethys is one of the more cringe-inducing dialogues I've seen there: superficial and cliche. In fact, the whole storyline seems to have started forcing Rover to have a particular goody-two-shoes personality and worldview seemingly out of nowhere, considering the absence of any recovery of super-Rover's memories and experiences to justify it. We're still supposed to be amnesiac, right? Where is Rover pulling this Dedicated Leader of Good stance from? There is a line or two like this in Camellya's story as well, where they just suddenly wear the mantle of their past self without Rover having any of the knowledge shaping that attitude. And what's with the absolute ass-pull of a new Tethys core popping into existence off-screen that somehow simply doesn't need to consume Lament, Shorekeeper, or Rover anymore, and works just as well so that mindlessly barreling through undoing everything bad with no plan for what comes after has zero cost or consequences at all, meaning all the bad stuff was completely pointless to begin with? I had no reason to expect any outcome other than Tethys ceasing to function as the price for denying the sacrifices it required. It would have crippled the Black Shores but freed Shorekeeper, a price everyone was seemingly willing to pay, and led to the need to search for new solutions. I was impressed with Jinhsi's and Camellya's stories, while Changli and Yinlin were likeable. Somnium in 1.4 was nice enough too. So for me, Black Shores is a steep disappointment in terms of storytelling quality. (Apparently Xiangli Yao has quit existing, so if he was any good, I wouldn't know.) Ultimately, the best, most impactful (heartwrenching) story in WuWa is Encore's, which isn't exactly a sentiment that reflects well on the way WuWa handles everything else. I started playing in 1.4, and the 1.0 part of the story was godawful. Only the fact that it supposedly improved in later parts let me get through that incredibly bad opening. Oh, I forgot that part with the trinkets was somewhat nice, but just like that, other stuff was at best decent and forgettable between all the times it was near intolerable. After I finished it, I've been hearing that this is the FIXED version of 1.0?! I've been assuming the entire time that they're surely still planning on redoing the EN voice acting, and it hasn't been fully corrected yet. The entire progression and finale of 1.0 just feels like something you were entirely held by the hand through. You just walked through the path set for you by all the other characters and stumbled face-first into victory. Yay. It's nothing more than a starter plot, something you get through in order to begin the actual story of the game. Except the experience is so, so bad in several places and it drowns everything else. And the plot that comes after is... you are actually (or might as well be) a god, so just stumble into everyone else's problems and magically fix everything, I guess? Sometimes all you even need to do is to exist. I'm having trouble remembering what we actually did with Changli and Yinlin besides just existing...
@@corver19That is pretty much the case for the entire Genshin story ( excluding Fontaine ending ig ) especially in the first 3 regions and I don’t see anyone complaining ?
@@maldivesthegamer9774 I tried playing Genshin before playing WuWa. Star Rail too. I quit both of those long before I even reached the climax of their first major story arcs. Genshin is tedious in dialogue and interaction and UI. I started it because of music and lore, which seem incredibly elaborate and of good quality, but the amount of poor QoL, terrible mobility, and all the other wastes of time I'd have to put up with to experience it myself just wasn't worth it. Star Rail was still interesting when I quit, but the prospect of having to deal with gacha RNG, spending months farming to put together any meaningful roster of characters and light cones, and whatever other work would end up being necessary to get anywhere near the endgame led me to drop it too. I play ZZZ. I'm at the endgame and I've been enjoying the story, characters, and gameplay immensely. It's fully designed to have the tone and experience of slice-of-life. There are characters I enjoy paying attention to everywhere. And the combat is styled as a fighting game. It's fun to use each character, and it's fast. You drop into the stage, fight, win, and drop out. I'm in WuWa's mid-game at Union Level 49, and I'm struggling to continue to care. The mobility, exploration, and area design in WuWa are superb compared to what I saw in the first zone in Genshin. I've already completed around 90% map exploration and I'm satisfied with that and how it went. Environments and puzzles are good. But now, what I'm left with are the dailies. They require you to hit loading screen after loading screen, trudging mindlessly through a world that holds nothing of importance anymore. And this is where WuWa is slowly eroding my patience and desire to continue playing. WuWa's echoes are a tedious and unrewarding system. You spend minutes running the same boring paths to look for the specific TDs you need and defeat them, and 75% of the time, you get absolutely nothing. 20% of the time, you get worthless garbage. So of course, the game makes you do this every single day, over and over again with its daily and weekly battlepass missions. Tacet Fields, Somnoire, every source of echoes never fails to reward you with useless trash and remind you that the only thing you've done is wasted your time and effort. And your waveplates, if you expect to get anything usable from a Tacet Field in less than a week. Every time someone brings up how bad things are, apparently Genshin and HSR are worse. Well, it's a good thing I've already quit those games then, isn't it?
@@corver19 Rover's implied to be a character that's always been an obsessive-compulsive force of "Indomitable Good" throughout all the past timelines they'd looped into, though it's not really explained in storylines explicitly but in out-of-the-way documents. I'm pretty sure the Black Shores patch quite literally forced you to read two of these so-called out of the way documents in order to cement not Shorekeeper's stance on the world but past Rover's even if just a little bit. The mind might forget, but the body remembers. The Tethys Core? The relevant parties acknowledged that it's a slapdash solution and a proper, more all-encompassing method of resolution is still needed that doesn't rely strictly on only laments for disaster prevention research. Its goal is to "Ensure the survival of humanity" too, not "Ensure the survival of every single human being," hence why it's difficult to clarify and utterly unforgivable to rely on an AI for, because with the former, even a single human surviving all the laments it successfully predicted would still be considered the survival of humanity when put into the lens of a cold and logical AI. There's also the segment with Dreamless where your tacet mark lights up when you're summoning something and it happened again in Shorekeeper's rescue section. Abby's been unnaturally quiet since that happened. These are all my interpretations though, but I can assure you these aren't told out of malice, but me wanting to clarify things that should have been told in a clearer way by the story writers. Some of the storylines are all over the place, but people who do want to figure everything about said storylines out can still piece together existing resources and commit into retrospectives in order to get the grand scheme of things post-rewrite. They're there, they're just never in-your-face unless it's a story beat that's deemed the most important. It's like the document about Jue's classification as an Artificial Lifeform in Mount Firmament that nobody somehow remembered. Or the satellite debris questline.
This video is very well done. You pretty much said everything I've been saying. Wuthering Waves is good, Genshin impact is good. I like both. But I personally lean more towards Wuthering Waves because it just has better Quality Of Life features for me. Examples: -Infinite stamina when not inside combat. -Wall running (allows faster exploration) -Combat feels more dynamic although I do wish we had elemental reactions. (parry, slow-down perfect dodges, quick swapping, intro/outro) -SKIP BUTTONS!!!! -Rover (Traveler for those who don't know) actually has voice-lines. I know Traveler in genshin speaks but this is very very rare. Not in WuWa, you actually speak more to keep the audience in engaged with the story immersion. Silent protagonists works better for personal created character, not premade ones who have an established identity. Execution of this method works very rarely for characters and usually these characters are wearing a "mask" in which you can still envision yourself as them! MasterChief and DoomGuy -The pity system. They give us free 5 stars, LIKE WHAT!? And on top of the free 5 stars, weapon banner isn't a scam. You're not gambling on a 33% chance as a F2P to get a weapon you don't want. You're guaranteed your 5 star weapon so long as you can manage to get a 5 star pull -Kuro games ability to accept criticism and adapt. They actually heard player complaints and in response immediately reacted to resolving those complaints. If they couldn't fix it right away, they gave us temporary solutions to hold us off until a permanent fix comes in. This makes me feel heard and makes me want to stick more with a game I'm personally shaping rather than a game that doesn't care about what I have to say, but what I'm willing to spend. - The open world Echo-farm. I can just endlessly farm materials if need be to always make sure I have enough resources for my future characters/weapons. Be it Echoes, Cores, you name it. Overall, these features makes it really hard for me to enjoy playing Genshin again. I go to Genshin and I love the world and I miss the characters, but Genshin feels outdated. It's not that Wuthering Waves is a Genshin Killer. It's literally just they took what made Genshin great in their own way and everything genshin failed at, and improved upon it. This is common in the gaming industry and just media in general. If Hoyoverse were to ever just improve on the traversal and simply add a skip button, I'd be playing both JUST AS LONG. WuWa feels like I'm playing a PC game on a 4090 while Genshin feels like I'm playing a GameCube game on a 1660 emulated with delay. One is clearly more polished than the other
By the way, Wuwa could ruin Genshin by simply adding more male characters. The entire female audience of Genshin, disappointed with Natlan, would simply go to Wuwa to buy new husbands. But the creators of gacha still believe that the female audience does not play games and does not have money.
Ar60 in genshin, burnt out with no exciting content, played wuthering waves and haven't gone back to genshin in weeks. It's just so much more fun and better designed
I love your take on this. I've been a Genshin player since the initial release, but I played it for months because I liked it, just because it was a new game during Covid. In 2022 I stopped playing Genshin along with the Wuthering Waves news. But in 2023 I came back because of Fontaine, and I still played it until Natlan but I preferred playing Wuthering Waves. Wuthering Waves is a game I've been waiting for for a long time, I nicknamed it the mobile version of Nier 😅. I never thought for a moment that Wuthering Waves was a Genshin clone. Because I followed it from the beginning where Wuthering Waves was a PGR Openworld. The Echo system was still in the form of a card like PGR, even the icon at that time was Raven, which had a very strong PGR feel. But slowly the PGR nuance was removed, the animal that is now the icon is Kuro's cat. Then some movements are taken from Nier References such as Dodge, Dash forward and Dash backward, to turning around after running. Even the robot shooter is a reference to Nier and Boss Fallacy's music has a very Nier feel to it. So, Kuro likes Nier, PGR also got references from Nier until they collab with Nier itself. In essence, the Wuthering Waves game is different from Genshin, Genshin is based on Zelda, while Wuthering Waves is based on PGR and Nier. What confuses me the most is that many Wuthering Waves haters say that TOA is similar to Genshin with the Trash System. Even though TOA is based on PGR, if you play PGR you will definitely know that TOA is adapted from PGR. In fact, Genshin itself tried to imitate Wuthering Waves for its Hologram system (although in the form of an Event). So Genshin players better keep quiet than to make the Wuthering Waves Community angry. The Wuthering Waves community has remained relaxed from the start, there were some who caused trouble but more people wanted to create a good and calm community. After the teaser of Wuthering Waves 2.0 appeared, the insults towards Wuthering Waves have become more and more massive, even more and more unreasonable just to badmouth Wuthering Waves. I know Genshin is in free fall because of Natlan's failure, but don't take it out on Wuthering Waves.
I honestly enjoy the game more because of the NieR vibes. Mobile NieR is so accurate, haha. I'm sure they drew inspiration of the gacha mechanics from Genshin, but as for the actual gameplay, there are elements from many other sources which make it a unique experience.
I really think you exaggerated about saint being furious. I've watched almost everything related to that drama including the braxo saint n tec discussion and really no where did I think or saw that he was furious. He was probably annoyed or fed up of something that's for sure xD. Let's not exaggerate things to avoid further drama.
I can agree that "furious" was an overstatement. He was pretty mad, while maintaining a leveled headed composure. I definitely felt he was more annoyed, rather than just angry.
I think Var's video had both good and bad points, like most things. I also believe that both extremes-whether content creators or players-are pretty unreasonable. I feel the flaws of the game will start to show more clearly as additional characters are released. That said, I do have one belief: right now, 4-star DPS characters actually feel more unique than 5-stars. Admittedly, that's a subjective take, but 4-stars seem less reliant on big numbers simply because their kits aren't designed for 5-star-level damage. Thanks to the game's skill-based mechanics, I can still use them effectively if I play well, and that's just cool. On the other hand, 5-star DPS characters feel like "big number machines" to me. This could be because I don't like most of their kits, personalities, or aesthetics-I'm not entirely sure. So far, the only 5-star DPS characters I actually enjoy are Carmellya and Xiangli Yao. Otherwise, none of the others stand out to me in terms of gameplay, visuals, or personality-at least from the trials I've played and the story i've seen.
Personally, I gave the game half a year to fix the targeting system and camera. I stopped playing on Changli's release, but checked back every month, keeping the game updated, until I finally uninstalled it last week for good. If Kuro can't get their basic core systems right, then all the "generosity and freebies" mean nothing, and only serve as a distraction from the problems.
Tbh i think if genshin community didnt started it first...i feel both side will be at peace...bcoz during wuwa cbt...genshin people aldy bad talk about wuwa n wishing for EoS after launch...that where the fire slowly started from wuwa community Dont get me wrong...genshin has it own good aspect but the community?? It really bad....that the only matter they need to fix Even HSR also gettin bad talk from genshin community by sayin HSR turn based is boring n it gonna be EoS In the end...the fire cannot be stop rn just by splash at edge of it.... if u didnt stop it from the original source then it will never stop spreading the fire...which is the genshin community itself
@@HardymanKboth are just hot spot for pure toxicity arguments. Take a look at Wuwa Livestream that's going to happen in a few days, all the pre-chat still an ongoing war from the very start till now. Spamming the same thing over and over, it's extremely tiring to look at.
Okay, now who start the genshin killer jargon? A genshin hater. who? Tectone and his gang. And then what happen? They joined the wuwa community, sh!tting on genshin. Wuwa released and got blunder by bad launch and what happen? Genshin fandom: look at this genshin killer game they hype for, having so many bugs and lagging. And then what? I never was able to get into Genshin but still do know a few of the characters and am excited for the anime that was announced. For Wuthering waves I was able to get into the game and enjoy it a lot. It’s still very new and I expect it to get better in the future. I do like the game mechanics a lot which make it a very fun experience. So those giving it hate should really try it first and see that it’s a fun game and beautiful combat mechanics
Its become content to hate wuwa,i literally was asking myself just yesterday why cc's criticize wuwa so much ive played genshin for about 2 years n stopped now i play honkai n zzz(once in a while) but ive never seen these 2 criticized so much as wuwa its crazy i just see it as a band wagon its human nature to side with the herd n ostracize things that dont fall in line with the masses perception of things even when you yourself dont understand why.its like when you watch an IGN game review for your favorite game n it gets a 5 lol most people wont try it themselves why?idk.like taste is subjective i really enjoyed alot of games that fell short of review expectations.

One person who embodies this is Saintontas. I can't still believe Kuro named him CC of the year when all he does is lock the perception of the comunity in a negative light.
People like him put me off from giving it a shot. Now I do and any negative thing i say gets me called a shill. Idk how bad the code in Genshin is. But maybe instead of "Genshin could never" it's "Genshin can't". Did everyone forget the Kaveh bug?
I like your content sharing wuwa isn't the same or something bad bc Saintontas alone had me scared since there were many live stream which was just Saintontas against all hoyo cc and to tectone he will rephrase Saintontas wording (even sometimes feels like it doesnt sound the same). Edit: what I mean lol, "wuwa isn't the same as genshin, nor is it a bad bad game." I'm just showing my gratitude towards Saintontas and any other cc that stood up for wuwa (which I wish there were more creators that actually who did this). The tecy part that one he just rephrased Saintontas wording to not be "rude" or come of as "angry" lol which I don't think he was and from my understanding they were saying "you don't know you were, but we know you were" like putting his words in someone's mouth. That's all All the best to any cc standing up for WuWa

Wuwa story that's like "hey dude, do you love Genshin? Choose us, we're like Genshin! Yes, we're a post-apocalypse, but don't pay attention, get Nahida." Wuwa may have had a personality, but the creators deliberately made their game similar to Genshin in order to lure away Genshin fans. It is natural that these two games are compared. Of course, people will have corresponding expectations for a product that, with its mechanics, designs and history, says “I’m like Genshin, but better.”
Let's be real. Genshin won't be as popular if it isn't for the pandemic. As for Wuwa being genshin copy, don't forget genshin copying so many aspect of Zelda:BoTW. It's more clear when you see the beta version.
It's not everyone. It's a small group of tiny humans, lol. That means nothing. Their opinions mean nothing. Its little birdies chirping against a stone wall. Money makes these games. The whales 🐋. We are the driving force of a successful studio. Not baseless opinions from children who rely on the income of mom and dad. Period. Kuro gives games that are geared towards adults, not adolescents or young adults. Their Financials are great right now because the whales love what they bring to the table. So 100,000 whales that love something awesome will always destroy the word of 300,000 chumps that just expect everything to be given to them for free. That's not how this world works. Kuro is loved by the ones who matter, and that's ALL that matters.
The hate for this game stems from people Jealousy that this game is doing better than their game and this game releases things that they would have liked in their games, but the devs never added them
In my experience I don't dislike the game, at max I only dislike that the story feels poor but that's a preference but what I really despise is the fanbase's superiority complex over other gachas, it seems as if they were unable to enjoy the game without comparing it to Genshin
HOLY YAPPING NOBODY GIVES A SHT ABOUT HALF THE VIDEO, I THOUGHT THERE WAS SOURCES AND OFFICIAL TWEETS AND POST BUT IT'S JUST YAPPING. you wasted my time.....
Thanks for the content. Some CCs love to exaggerate things and flame drama without considering the impact it can bring, just for views. Seen a lot of clickbait-doom posting videos uploaded on gacha games especially Wuwa. The toxicity of the content can really upset a person and the game's community. Sometimes affecting their gaming experience. Just enjoy what you like. Don't let the CC toxicity get into you and make you toxic as well.
I do think there's areas to the game that warrant criticism though. The fact the game was marketed as having a balanced gender ratio only to sideline males after 1.0 is both frustrating and a scummy move
Yeah, they really need to fix the gender ratio. There's also only one size for the men currently in the game. Sadly 2.0 seems to be going down the same path, but we will have to wait and see.
@@redxhand they never really market about balanced gender ration. People just assumed that they will release more males after seeing them release ji yan and xiangli yeo banner and was like facepalm when they release more females Plus there is no laws that gacha games had to release a balanced ratio in the first place
@@redxhand The trailers leading up to the game, combined with the release of various well-designed males like Calcharo, Jiyan, Lingyang, Mortefi, and Yuanwu would have given people that impression.

I've played Genshin Impact since day 1. Quitted the game after Inazuma arc since it's just too painful to grind every single day. I had way more fun playing other games like Honkai Impact 3rd, Honkai Star Rail and Wuwa
am i the only Genshin player who started playing genshin since the days of its release and actually loves WuWa and stopped playing genshin because found WuWa to be much more fun?
as a PGR player I don't get the hate on WUWA, yeah lets say the first release is have bugs and the story is not that good but as after patch and new patch the story became good just like in the PGR as long you dig in the deep chapter the plot and story became good and also kuro game dev (solon) love they're players ❤
Let me tell these cc once they don't enjoy wuwa heck even when they don't know how to play wuwa they start talkng sh-t about this game and this start to piss me off.. the thing that they don't understand is wuwa is not fu-kin genshin. Wuwa has their unique style .. unique gameplay.. you can't force your play style from genshin on wuwa .. i hope they can stop yapping and move on with their lives..
people just throw the term genshin killer everywhere. saw someone call infinity nikki a genshin killer yesterday. an open world dress up game. seriously?
I'm honestly at the point where I just consider any point of dislike and hatred for WuWa as something akin to a flaw of a person's mindset; solution: Block Them and don't even give them any attention that they crave There is no use arguing with a brick wall. If you want to justify something, show it. If you want to showcase flaws or benefits from one game vs another, make a valid point that is OBJECTIVE and not subjective, and make sure to place each point on a scale of progression vs time. And since it's almost 2025, can I ask something for many people to advocate. Just stick to your games as is. I have been with both companies since their baby days: Houkai Gakuen for MHY/HYV, and PGR CN release for Kuro. I love these two companies and have poured so much of my own personal time and money, and to see these two companies be dragged down by either communities just makes me hate both even more; most specially the very loud and vocal one (you know who you are). Please, for the love of all things Gacha, just shut up about Genshin Killer this and that. Open World Gacha is an established sub-genre now, grow the fuck up, and learn to shame on content creators with uneeded opinions. Let their communities kill themselves (Egg Head and Gums for days)
Why I choose genshin over wuwa even though wuwa is the better game: - world setting(sci-fi/futiristic environment) - yae miko - timer on holograms pisses me off, clear indication of a stat check.. rather than a skill check And I disagree that wuwa is a challenging Game, the casual content is as cheap as genshin's. Its just the holograms, from when I still played the game. (I guess that door event was fairly challenging)
Imagine random people that (obviously) always know better to rethink why exacly do they dislike one game or another. 8 out of 10 times it's just "X game sucks" and end of the story.
Launching during the pandemic when everyone is forced to stay inside to play... is 1 of the important thing BUT if Genshin really sucks, it wouldn't have grown and became more popular later.
Just like csgo vs valorant, LoL vs dota, they will always fighting, elites of each game will protect their game at all cost. Genshin is such a wonderful game for me, not because of covid, but because at the time, it is the pioneer for high production gacha game, its element reaction is wonderful and better than those simple rock-paper-scissor system. I never have problem with the game movement system, im not one of those who think fast-paced movement is superior than slow-paced one, many of my favorite open world game doesnt have such movement anyway, hell even skyrim doesnt have climbing. But as time went on, after 1st anni, 2nd and 3rd, i just... sad, no reward improvement, not give a fuck to player feedback, no game mechanic improve and most importantly, no changes in the reaction system. The whole element system is what made genshin feel special at the first place, but they did nothing to improve it, anemo and geo still shit after dendro, geo strucure are mostly useless, etc... so much potential but so little actual changes. People gonna call me genshin hater but no, i proudly call myself genshin shill as i LOVE it and want it to be BETTER, not an empty cashcow for casual players. Wuwa is good, but it doesnt completely replace genshin for me as it doesnt have element system and focus on skill-based rather than team-based. So im gonna either keep trashing genshin until it changes or new game came up that grab genshin element system and make it better, which ever came first
You are basically like my friend lol He plays WW and likes it but he likes the elemental reaction system in Genshin more but he is already fed up with HYv as a whole because there is no improvement in Genshin for 4 years. These days he is just straight trashing Genshin every update and hope there will be a game with the same elemental reaction system but with good Devs like Kuro Games.
@@arkcanon1282 I share similar idea with your friend i thought they would finally do something better with their element system in new mode ''theatre'' but it turned out to be exact opposite. Youre forced to use antisynergetic teams where element is all that is in combat. What were they thinking ? Its literally the worst thing they could do when your combat is nothing outside of elemental reactions. I gave up i wont ever expect anything from hoyo atp

The problem with this drama is the CCs stating any Open world Gacha such as WuWa as "Genshin killer". They make each community become hostile for views and farm the shit out of it. It surprised me how the CCs always loved playing the victim in these kinds of situations when they were the ones starting the fire. Don't forget the mentally ill people that make a cult about the game thinking it's the peak of humanity in both GI and WuWa. The problem with Genshin has already been said countless times before, It become too popular and attract all kinds of people to the game. Even 0.1% toxic and loud minorities from the game are still too many players. And the funny thing is most of the players don't know or care about the drama on RUclips, like I said this is the loud "minorities" we are dealing with. For WuWa it's the superior complex that we are dealing with, every time someone comments the reason they start playing WuWa it's because they are done or bored with GI. This won't be a problem if not many start downgrading both everything in GI and players to make it sound like they are the superior one and praise WuWa for "enlightening" them on how a good game really is. Sure it's fair to compare games in general, but when saying everything is dogshit in GI, it will piss people off.

@@f.b.l.9813 Rage bait at its finest
I think Tectone should call these gacha games a "genshin's competitor" instead of "genshin killer" since tower of fantasy flopped because of that
Here's a summary on why the hate:
-Your game has been going for a few years and you notice that it could use some good QoL.
-New game comes and implemented practically everything you ever wanted in YOUR game.
-You cannot accept the game has make a small success off of the QoL YOUR game should be getting.
-You go to find flaws with the game but it's all like "Colors this, Boobs that, Characters are too sexy, story is bad trust me is not my own opinion but a fact."
-You noticed that if you detail your opinion nothing really happens so you masquerade your opinion as facts and go telling it only to people who like the game.
How do you know my Kurobot daily routine? 😂
That's a great summary tbh.
And it's all started with the "can't accept the fact the QOL upgrade is in a different game".
I'd say it's a big work of jealousy to get yourself up against a game like that, but then again, "you didn't love yourself enough to love the others".
I would assume bro was a genshin player cuz i was and has a friend that also plays genshin both of us played since 1.8 and ar 60 and that Friend gave the Same and exact argument all he did was taking the good sides of wuwa like devs listen and fantastic mechanics and making unrealistic scenarios that he KNOWS will happen and ruin the game
For some reason some develop a really strong emotional connection to genshin and hoyo games

For newer players who played Genshin after the pandemic maybe around 2022 you might play both Genshin and WuWa and it's just like nothing and you enjoy both games but, day one players or the pandemic players are a different breed, I am a firsthand witness to what we call in the internet as "Hoyoshills" in real life, after Genshin the only gacha games they touched were HSR and ZZZ
Discussing gacha games with them is like being an Android phone user discussing stuff about phones with an iPhone user
You need to find new friends my guy.

I completely agree. I really enjoyed Ryuuku Sensei's video, and videos like it are what we need.

Most of the hate comes from players who don't even try to fully understand the story/character's personality or game mechanics and stuff. Instead of at least trying to understand any of this, they constantly repeat the same cliches about "harem" and other nonsense. So it's easier to just ignore them
I'm glad there are more people who understand this game story and lore deeper than these smooth brain ppl

Wow...

In this case, it's artifacts in Genshin and other Hoyo game series. Just imagine, it takes me 1 month or more to grind artifacts for one character, while in Wuwa it only takes 1 week of grinding echo to build 3-4 characters (in conditions where the account is already at the highest level)
Preach, bro. I know Kuro may stumble here and there with WuWa, but that won't erase the good they've done in the past 6 months.

@@xyreanev2.067 the term originated from unsatisfied genshin players btw
@ right on the mark xD
@@xyreanev2.067 and then CC's used it to make drama videos, putting heavy weight of expectations on ToF. Someone even said the devs advertised the game as Genshin killer making alot of people believe it, but it was a lie, the tof devs never did that, they were just incompetent, not stupid.
Trauma from TOF, if someone release a new game just dont call it genshin killer.
Great video man really addresses the issue as to why we are always getting and having beef in this community
I know wuwa is the most hated thing in existence. But how are those dogs still not tired of hating?
They're suffering from sunk cost fallacy + stockholm syndrome
most of them are jobless kiddos, without anything to do, not even their homework but there are saying nonsense.
I wonder about that. Since "they" said wuwa will eos in 6 months, they shouldn't bother about wuwa anymore.
By this moment I've tried all 3 Hoyo's Gacha as well as Kuro's WuWa & all have something better over another & it's fact that a product that was launched at a later date should be better than the ones before it in some if not all aspects & if such thing is not present then it's an issue.
It's hard to care what other people think if I'm busy playing the games i like
👍
Honestly I’m just confused about the hate for Wuwa, praise the game and you’ll get called a Bot, I think that’s bull shit imo.
Cause WuWa players (not all) attack anyone, even the underdog Tower of Fantasy. Look at ToF videos. At least 1 or 2 comments would say. "ToF dead game. Just play WuWa". My guess is that a number of Genshin Karens moved to WuWa

i think hsr already killed my mood for playing genshin, and wuwa double it. i realy want the content that always giving more about combats, new mechanics, and using my character build to finish it. hsr and wuwa already doing it with so much activity. hollogram and illusive dream was the content that i always wanted in genshin. the enemy is more difficult, some progressing for each difficulty, and changing the perspective about the character gameplay .and then wuwa came with a new approach about guaranteed weapon. its more forgiving for me and i'm willing to spend because of that.

To all the people scrolling, if you wish to retain your sanity, play whatever game you like and just don't dive into the social media aspect of it, you will find toxicity everywhere.
Getting a McDonald's ad during this video is so ironic.
**I understand why the combat is a downgrade from PGR. Your average PGR player (me) is basically foaming at the mouth trying to nohit event bosses as Lotus. There's like 2000 of us and we can't afford to keep a large budget game funded.**
**I understand why they couldn't just outright say it was a continuation of PGR because WuWa itself IS a massive PGR spoiler, and PGR itself is a massive WuWa spoiler. **
**I understand why I couldn't have open world PGR, because robot waif does not appeal to the masses. **
Now that I've successfully baited you, yes.
@@kranichkronewhat glazefest... oop, sleeper agent bros, ban him 😂😂😂
Unfortunately, Inazuma's Archon Quest was horribly-written and rushed to hell, especially in the final act. Huge waste of any SORT of potential, and the future Story Quests were garbage in execution too. No meaningful build-up whatsoever, especially for that power struggle that did nothing. What a pathetic showcasing of war in that case.

True that. PGR community is on another level. They just do their thing. I like that.
Examples:
-Infinite stamina when not inside combat.
-Wall running (allows faster exploration)
-Combat feels more dynamic although I do wish we had elemental reactions. (parry, slow-down perfect dodges, quick swapping, intro/outro)
-SKIP BUTTONS!!!!
MasterChief and DoomGuy
-The pity system. They give us free 5 stars, LIKE WHAT!? And on top of the free 5 stars, weapon banner isn't a scam. You're not gambling on a 33% chance as a F2P to get a weapon you don't want. You're guaranteed your 5 star weapon so long as you can manage to get a 5 star pull
-Kuro games ability to accept criticism and adapt.
Wuwa is better than Genshin. Already in 6 months has done more for their playerbase then GI did in 5 years. As simple as that.

No matter who makes god bleed, will be crucified.
Thank you for the level-headed video.

Genshin player myself saw this game as a threat after investing money but I realized my luck sometimes bad another each always fills the void better to have more gachas if u get unlucky on genshin I pulled on wuwa got lucky pulled 2 weapons my anger in genshin was pacified better to play more than one gacha u can always find time to play.
Edit: what I mean lol, "wuwa isn't the same as genshin, nor is it a bad bad game." Lately, there has been a lot of wuwa hate video complaining about the combat sucs (var's vid) and endgame(toa) and how wuwa doesn't have its own identity with no proof and so-on. I'm just showing my gratitude towards Saintontas and any other cc that stood up for wuwa (which I wish there were more creators that actually who did this).
The tecy part that one he just rephrased Saintontas wording to not be "rude" or come of as "angry" lol which I don't think he was and from my understanding they were saying "you don't know you were, but we know you were" like putting his words in someone's mouth. That's all
All the best to any cc standing up for WuWa
I read this 4 times and I'm still trying to understand it
@Gheniel_ I know I didn't make sense. Lol sorry ok here is what I was trying to say, lol. "wuwa isn't the same as genshin, nor is it a bad game." Lately, there has been a lot of wuwa hate video complaining (especially Hoyo cc) about the combat sucs (var's vid) and endgame(toa) and how wuwa doesn't have its own identity with no proof and so-on. I'm just showing my gratitude towards Saintontas and any other cc that stood up for wuwa recently (which I wish there were more creators that actually who did this).
Idk if you saw Saintontas live stream with Broxx about the video "The problem with wuwa's team building," and Broxx kept defending his friend, "but like" over and over neglecting the misinformation his friend posted. Saintontas, at least in the WuWa CC, he has been the only one before this channel, and another I saw yesterday defending Wuwa being misrepresented.
That's what I was trying to say, and I wish them all the best 👍
@Gheniel_ I saw your comment on his live stream a day ago. I was trying to avoid typing like lengthy comment, and I am not organized with my wording like you did with your comment
@@gwanetayla7683 oh okay now I understand what you mean. Thank you for the compliment, no problem if you have issues when typing, you can always try to correct it later and improve little by little.
Hope you have a nice day 👍🏼
The only thing I hate about WuWa is the CC Slop fest that's been happening lmao
I don't hate the game. I actually play it since day 1, never missed a login. What I do hate is the idiotic toxic community that tontas brewed.
They already throwing hate to NTE and Arknights Endfield. Hoyoshills are delusional.
NGL Endfield is objectively better than Wuwa.
@@Broskiiiiitt Its unity engine, it says a lot how a company can make a game looks so much better meanwhile HoYo doesnt care.
I really appreciate the points you have raised and have only one more thing to add: "All Hail Lord WuWa" 😄
Since when did they market about gender ratio???
@@redxhand never.
@@redxhand they never really market about balanced gender ration. People just assumed that they will release more males after seeing them release ji yan and xiangli yeo banner and was like facepalm when they release more females
Plus there is no laws that gacha games had to release a balanced ratio in the first place
@@redxhand The trailers leading up to the game, combined with the release of various well-designed males like Calcharo, Jiyan, Lingyang, Mortefi, and Yuanwu would have given people that impression.
My teenage son play Genshin & I'm a day 1 Wuwa player. We often tease each other about our games & we just laugh it out. We are proof that it is possible to coexist without hating each other's games under one roof. 😁
That's cute👍
*their
Let me tell these cc once they don't enjoy wuwa heck even when they don't know how to play wuwa they start talkng sh-t about this game and this start to piss me off.. the thing that they don't understand is wuwa is not fu-kin genshin. Wuwa has their unique style .. unique gameplay.. you can't force your play style from genshin on wuwa .. i hope they can stop yapping and move on with their lives..
people just throw the term genshin killer everywhere. saw someone call infinity nikki a genshin killer yesterday. an open world dress up game. seriously?
I'm honestly at the point where I just consider any point of dislike and hatred for WuWa as something akin to a flaw of a person's mindset; solution: Block Them and don't even give them any attention that they crave
There is no use arguing with a brick wall.
Someday wuwa haters will be wuwa lovers, and that is destined
Why I choose genshin over wuwa even though wuwa is the better game:
- world setting(sci-fi/futiristic environment)
- yae miko
- timer on holograms pisses me off, clear indication of a stat check.. rather than a skill check
And I disagree that wuwa is a challenging Game, the casual content is as cheap as genshin's. Its just the holograms, from when I still played the game. (I guess that door event was fairly challenging)
People often doesn't need reason to hate something, that's unfortunately what happened to Wuwa.
Imagine random people that (obviously) always know better to rethink why exacly do they dislike one game or another. 8 out of 10 times it's just "X game sucks" and end of the story.
The real question is, why bother about haters??? It's normal for things to have some people like and hate it
Launching during the pandemic when everyone is forced to stay inside to play... is 1 of the important thing BUT if Genshin really sucks, it wouldn't have grown and became more popular later.
So im gonna either keep trashing genshin until it changes or new game came up that grab genshin element system and make it better, which ever came first
You are basically like my friend lol
He plays WW and likes it but he likes the elemental reaction system in Genshin more but he is already fed up with HYv as a whole because there is no improvement in Genshin for 4 years.
They can’t move on from the toxic relationship! Gurl I don’t attract negativity energy
Brother, I ask for your permission to translate and upload your video on bilibili (China's largest barrage video site), I clearly marked your RUclips name and original video address in the video introduction, and the video subtitles are the result of my own translation (using a little AI for text polishing, but not machine translation), please allow me to ask for your permission again, if you see it, please reply, if you don't allow such behavior, I will delete the video within 24 hours after getting your reply, thank you very much!
Yeah, I think that would be awesome. With the outlined conditions that you said, that sounds good to me.
If some games related to Tencent company, I will 100% ignore to play it because it break my heart a lot for recycle game without move forward. *****
Sure it's fair to compare games in general, but when saying everything is dogshit in GI, it will piss people off.
if Hoyo toxic fans is "everyone" = yes
"WuWa community is dedicated to the game"
Well said. Overall, I enjoyed the scenario.
Yes, Public Enemy for Hoyolovers, the problem is that the community is too Big but at any time the oppressive regime is going to fall
