The Asgore fight is great, among else, because most players will have avoided fighting and then be forced to. Unwilling to fight but have no other option, which is exactly what Asgore himself feel! You as a player have the same emotions as Asgore. You become a reflection of your opponent, which is an extremely hard thing to set up. Toby really is a genius of writing.
The thing is for asgore is that the mercy button is for when the monster doesnt wanna fight you so asgore destroying because he knows that it will work on him he really doesnt want to fight you like at all but he must do what his people need at heart he isn't a bloodthirst warrior he's a gardener just trying his best
Seeing that, got me thinking - genocide/normal route would be even harsher if instead of "unique peaceful actions" player would receive "violent actions". Like, on normal route, if you kill enough monsters, half of your peaceful actions would be replaced with violent actions. Some real gritty stuff, like, describing the attack and damage it will deal. Use of said attacks would yield increased damage or something. On genocide all actions will be violent and the genocide-only half, inaccessible on normal, would consist of some ultraviolent stuff. Like, gouging eyes out or something, based on a monster, naturally. And it would be the only way to attack. No mini-game with a swipe stuff, only cruelty. Would work great as a simulation of violence and gore in video games. Would also make it way more of a difficult task to go for genocide for the faint of heart.
Small nitpick, at 9:34 she's saying "shiryoku kensa" (eye exam), referring to the broken ring test commonly used in Japan.

It's a powerful moment for the game, and very fitting of the Pacifist Run's endgame.
Thank you for this man, I have to rely on translators/clippers to be able to truly understand what's going on, so I'm grateful to you and the others out there. This stream was great.
Subbed to you, you deserve many more!
Oh wow okay I guess I found a new favorite. This broke my heart with how sweet she was with the flowers and her realizing that she can't run or show mercy.
Hold up… Is she… defeating Asgore… with the WEAKEST WEAPON IN THE GAME… because she didn’t know any better?
🥺 Mad respect.
Wym? That’s the normal thing if you’re doing mercy
@@HaidaNim Not necessarily, there are weapons in this game that has benefits that can be used in P route, like the increased in invulnerability or increased healing
my GOD i forgot how emotional and impactful asgores intro and battle theme are! this will always be one of my favorite songs ever
Thank you for this video, it's great. I'm happy some folks are translating these streams in larger chunks than just minute long clips. Definitely subscribed, you do good work!
Thank you very much for translating this for all of us! :D
Very very good traslate and edited cx
Subbed ! Looking forward to more translation as this was quite high quality !
Thank you for this, you deserve more than 81 subs
This is really useful for learning vocabary! I've already learned five words today just by watching 6 minutes of this:
Throne - 玉座(ぎょくざ)
Seat - 座(ざ)
To sit - 座る(すわる)
To act - 行動する(こうどうする)
To fight - 戦う(たたかう)
Two persons that dont want to kill eachother but they both have to so sacrifices must be made
Damn bro kinda sad
Man the fact that she didn't pick any stronger weapon in game she literally don't want hurt anyone
Must protecc sheep :')
Asgore destroys the mercy button not because he doesn’t have mercy, but because he thinks he doesn’t deserve mercy.
Man she has such a kind heart
Whoa such a long sub! Thank you greatly for this!!
Omg it's been years since I played undertale, I teared up at the start of the song
Thank you very much for the translate, its amazing 👍
Damn man, watame hits right in the feels, everytime.
She didnt want to trample over the flowers 🥺
I really appreciate the translations, while I do respect those who perform more literal translations I feel that in some cases it’s better to go with something different that gets the point across.
"stressed sheep noise"
Danm i cried hard on that video watame is so kind
I feel like Asgore and Watame would get along well if they were to meet
I feel the same way.
Me towards the end: *Anger lvls increasing at high speed*
You can tell that her heart is really going in to this game
"FURAWRYYYYYYYYYY!!!"
I laughed at 24:38 when she moved a little towards kill as if she was actually considering not sparing him after spending 20 minutes and multiple deaths trying to spare him.
"There are many things that are painful on the surface as well."
MY HEARTTT
FINALLY, IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!
Very well made translation
the moment the bgm drops all the emotion thats is suppress inside me burst out i dont usually get emotional in games but undertale is different
Asgore: trident
Watame: (in my head canon) drill lance go brrrrrr
19:20
The way she pronounces his name is adorable.
This game fell under my radar and i played it last year. This fight hit me in the feels given all the implications it had.
I'm glad you hopefully got to play it without a lot of spoilers. It's an amazing game to play without being told what to expect.
I dont know why japanese undertale playthroughs are recently popping up but damn this is wholesome
shes adorable, this playthrough i fun to watch and her emotional investment in it is just amazing honestly
Why the sudden increase in new playthroughs tho, especially japanese ones? i thought UT was extremely popular there right away?
The Asgore fight is great, among else, because most players will have avoided fighting and then be forced to. Unwilling to fight but have no other option, which is exactly what Asgore himself feel! You as a player have the same emotions as Asgore. You become a reflection of your opponent, which is an extremely hard thing to set up. Toby really is a genius of writing.
7:30 I like how this asgore music starts playing determination motif but got died -determination- motif instead
This game is just great im glad To see someone that had an good time
At 1:50 Asgore actually says it's perfect weather for a game of tag (onigokoro) not catch. Catch is what the original English was
7:28 I sprayed my croissant all over the table. too much funny
Great editing. Are you thinking about translating her fight with flowey?
It's currently being worked on, hopefully won't take too long!
Watame has the kindness soul inside of her
Watame's cry makes me cry too
I would love to see the omega flowey fight too! This editing is amazing and would love to see more
She seems so innocent and nice... pure, almost.
The thing is for asgore is that the mercy button is for when the monster doesnt wanna fight you so asgore destroying because he knows that it will work on him he really doesnt want to fight you like at all but he must do what his people need at heart he isn't a bloodthirst warrior he's a gardener just trying his best
I really love Asgore Theme
I like the way you think!
So true.
Still can't get the fact when Asgore looks at Frisk it's remind him of his human child he once had
That's why he hesitated
Everyone's talking about how kind she is but nobody noticed that she did 666 damage on the last hit.
I chalk it up to coincidence.
