Hi Davie, thanks again, and again for a great video. Once again we learn something new! Over here in the Anglers Eldorado, I often get my fly tying materials from “Road Kill”. I use to use Possum tail guard hairs for wet flies and wonder if that was wrong approach. You did mention that Possum hair is buoyant and therefore make the wet fly drunk in its movement? I have seen in USA blogs the comments that how hard it is these days to obtain Possum skins, if they only knew of the millions of those critters destroying our forests and spreading TB. Anyway, your comment on the different types of Possum hair and its uses in fly construction would be much appreciated. Cheers mate. Harera

Good to see you use the possum fur and dubbing for dry flies, including the very effective Dynamite Harry style. Hope to see you
use them soon on one of your fly fishing treks. Very kind of your fly tying friends to give you the possum items. Thank you for
    sharing the video with us.

a year ago I bought a small chunk of possum fur on the hide just because I thought it was rather exotic hah. I'm going to tie up a couple flies with it and see how it goes! TY Davie!

Great video Davie, I now know what to tie up with the Possum skin I have rather than just using as dubbing. I also have Opossum pelt (2 different animals, possum Australian, Opossum American) which I haven't used!! Possum being more crinkle/rough hair compared to the smoother and glossier Opossum.

      Hi Keith,
I have been told the Arctic runner is pony, goat or cow and as it comes from Iceland it's more likely to be pony/horse hair but I could be wrong..I have attached a link to the American fox squirrel below for you to see.

      Hi Robin,
I have attached a link to an Aero Wing emerger pattern which is close to the dynamite harry for you to see which I tyed a few years ago, it's a great pattern and certainly worth tying...The dynamite harry pattern works as an emerger as well as I feel this is why it keeps working when the flies are coming off as well as a dry..
