When you believe abortion is murder, you don’t abort babies. I know that’s a simplistic answer, but it’s the truth. And just because women in the US brag about their abortions makes abortion right. I’m neither defending, not condemning these women.
My step mother and her family are Venezuelan. This breaks my heart. I have visited several times back in the late 90's or early aughts. A beautiful country and a beautiful people.
If I counted correctly, that woman is on her 8th pregnancy - at 33. It's hard to see why people continue to have children in such circumstances, but at the same time, I understand that living in such extreme poverty and hopelessness, combined with a lack of education, people make choices that aren't based on logic.. I"m sure birth control is available, but the drive to do what is familiar and socially sanctioned, is so strong...if what we see is everyone, (including our closest family) having multiple babies, starting from the time they're teenagers - we do the same, even if we know it's going to cause more hardship - both for ourselves and a future human.
I would also like to come at this from a different cultral and medical angle. I’m not sure the cost of birth control there but I come from a small developing island in the caribbean and medications can be very expensive because of supply shortages. For context, I now live and canada and we have to stock up on medications to send to my grandma back home since its cheaper that way (about $100 CAD for 3 month supply vs $400 ECD for 1 month supply). So in a couple place like venezuela that has even political and societal issues, i cant imaginr how hard it would be to get your hands on birth control pills. Along with that, in countries that have a strong historical culture of using holistic and natural medicines taking birth control pills might be looked down upon.
i’m not sure that birth control (even if it was available at a reasonable price, which i’m certain it’s not) is the priority, not when her children are going hungry.
Because it's easier to make babies and beg and pray to God than actually going to work... Yes, but there's no work available around here... Well, then I could just make more babies to show them how bad we live.

The best showcase of the fallacy of socialism. The communist countries that survived today are more capitalist than the democracies. The latter even has more social programs than the communists because it gives the politicians votes. And yet, these people are manipulated to point blame to the outside world when their misfortune is the direct doing of their own government. As they say, if you cannot beat them, join them. But Venezuela, or should I say, their government, chose to isolate themselves and fight an economic and political battle they will never win, because that is the only way they can stay in power for as long as they can.
Hugo Chávez is to blame for all of this, he and everyone who voted for him between 1998-2013, who voted for Chavismo, is an accomplice to everything. Venezuela is where it is today because of Chávez and his voters! So much so that they said that Venezuela would not be Cuba, and now it has become Cuba. The worst thing is that our neighboring countries (like my country, Brazil) are paying for something that we are not to blame for or responsible for. Several Venezuelans are now arriving in our countries, which in some regions do not even have the conditions to take care of their own citizens. We Brazilians, Colombians, Ecuadorians, Chileans do not deserve this! 😭
It sickens me to see if tge economy is at a downfall an no jobs shortage of food what is the reason for getting pregnant after having 4 or 5 children behind u as a woman a Lil dignity and heart they can't hav they are just bringing children in this world to suffer I saw a part in the documentary the mother sending her three toddlers to get food while she bosses them around to go cause she hav to rest her pregnant 🤰 belly what a total shame I see no problem with the country is how u make it to be and create it to be I will plan first an make sure I'm fiantially able and capable of getting pregnant 5 or 6 times also they are some how lazy as well they rather lay down for a man rather than to go hunt for a job to feed the themselves and the one child they hav instead they would lie down hungry and get pregnant this is notbthe children's fault they are chikdren y do this to them
U seem to be lacking a heart. The first little girl just spoke of how much she misses her mom because she loves her and her siblings so much. Also it can take a minute or less to get pregnant, and pregnancy is not easy. It doesn’t surprise me people have intercourse especially in such depressing situations when your mind and emotions are all over the place. They probably do not have birth control either. Also if you state there are no jobs, then how are they going to find these said jobs? I can only thank God I don’t live on a society like this and if I did and found myself as the mother or child in this situation is would be soul crushing to be judged so harshly. You aren’t on some moral high ground by acting so concerned about these children’s lives and belittling or shaming their mothers. It’s really unkind , lacks empathy, and really contributes nothing positive. Also it takes two to make children. People with privilege snap at their kids in public and behind closed doors, villainizing these women is ridiculous and I’m sure most of them already feel horrible enough. Some things are better left unsaid when they are rooted in judgement as it provides no value to others or the world

my prayer goes to the people of Venuzuela,God have mercy on them.i urge you to elect the the right leaders, this is what is happening in Kenya🇰🇪,but come 2027 we will vote wisely.
Prayers don't do anything, I've seen in the documentary they we're praying all the time, they still live like they live. Stop asking Gods to fix your problems.
"If voting made any difference, they wouldn't let us do it"
LIFE HAS NO VALUE
and they have the largest oil reserves on Earth.
As the title says, there's also mismanagement and self-profit.
it's so unfair that i've got everything they don't except for a will to live
Despite have biggest oil reserves in the planet. Seeing people helpeless starving make un imaginable pain. God make their pain will be ease. Ameen.
OMG. This part of venezuela look like Africa, i hope DW makes a documentary both face, beuty family who work hard for survive on the economic crisis.
Me encantaría que Alemania acoja más a ciudadanos venezolanos que sirios, donde ya no hay guerra..
Lo justo es justo
La ley del mas fuerte. Que tristeza. Y en nuestro idioma. 46:10
The result of Chavismo in plain sight.
So sad😢😢😢
Hey DW, that video of the shoot out was in Puerto Rico, not Venezuela
They know it was not Venezuela as it took place in 2019. But papaganda works at all cost.
This is propaganda, the target is president. Why? He spoke about Palestine.
Hi, thanks a lot for your comment. As this was not made clear enough in the documentary, we have removed the sequence to prevent any confusion for future viewers. We apologize for any issues caused.
I couldn't take it how life is just nothing for those bad people.
if only i can adopt or sponsor someone
They need a president like Nayib Bukele.
So that they can be exploited by another super power? Nayib Bukele is a fascist opportunist who wants people to think that since he's imprisoning the "right" people in mass that everything is okay now. I condemn the Venezuelan government but that does not mean I'll open my arms to a pathetic puppet such as Milei or Bukaley.
Once a prosperous and respected democracy now ally of Russia Iran Cuba and North Korea 😢
When you sleep with dogs...
Education is really the only answer here. Of course the world could send rice and even medical care, but without education these people will never be able to do better. I hate to think what this is doing to the children there. Nothing good is coming out of this.
The lady mentioned no food but can't they plant something to eat to help their situation?
Why are they abusing the children by making them wear masks and telling them someone was tortured to death for their sins? 🤔 That's sick. 🤢
In Venezuela, people who can afford to live there use US dollars, Euros, Brazilian Reals and Colombian pesos as currencies due to their own businesses and remittances especially in the big cities. By 2022, the Venezuelan government made a market liberalization of the economy because they knew that people were leaving in large numbers, but in the small towns of Venezuela, especially in western Venezuela, people are struggling a lot to meet the needs of their communities and families.Yes some parts of Venezuela is a failed state.Yes, the US and foreign sanctions are part to blame for the chaos in Venezuela and sanctions countries but the sanctions don’t hurt the Venezuelan government it only hurts the people in Venezuela.
Sad
indonesia is on the way the next venezuella
also an island close to Venezuela. We have migrants come across on boats illegally and the children are not being educated, some of them bring their gang mentality. Some work hard but others work and spend the money to look good, party and drink.
What do you mean? Indonesia had been growing their economy well. It takes time but the growth rate is respectable.
@@ShaqItGoodEconomy growth and people having decent living standards aren't always aligned.
Brazil's economy keeps growing and brazilians are getting poorer by day.
All thanks to the USE LESS GOVERNMENTS....🙄🙄🙄
Complicated situation.......
That's what socialism does to a state
Venezuela isn't socialist, it's communist.
Does anyone know the rap song at 29:00?
Now I understand why they are in this condition: OIL
"They" want their oil
Norway and the UK have oil. If oil is the problem why aren't Norway and the UK facing the same?
It's not oil, it's a dangerous concoction of culture, religion and politics.
I hate that this is happening to them.come to America
all the miss universe winners from venezuela are silenced over this 😂😂😂
The child hidding the gun... WTF???
Choice!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ma quanto costano i profilattici in Venezuela???
❤❤❤❤❤❤
The best showcase of the fallacy of socialism. The communist countries that survived today are more capitalist than the democracies. The latter even has more social programs than the communists because it gives the politicians votes. And yet, these people are manipulated to point blame to the outside world when their misfortune is the direct doing of their own government. As they say, if you cannot beat them, join them. But Venezuela, or should I say, their government, chose to isolate themselves and fight an economic and political battle they will never win, because that is the only way they can stay in power for as long as they can.
Venezuela, Lebanon, South Africa failed states ❤
South Africa ? What drugs are you on ? South Africa is NOTHING like these countries 😂😂😂🤣
USA

Of course it is failed state
Stay strong
Everyone here thinks they're absolute philosophers by saying le muh america
Nigeria is on this part
Lula is taking Brazil where Castro and Chavez took Cuba and Venezuela.
@@truthismycause2800 please elaborate your argument.
Guyanese as well we do not deserve this 😢
Also now america
Weird they forgot socialism in the title.
Some things are better left unsaid when they are rooted in judgement as it provides no value to others or the world
Pray and try to have faith. It is very difficult to understand these times.
Amazing... doing this while sitting on an immense black gold amount
46:42 is it just me or are these two making a gun sign, well not the older kid, but the little one is for sure.
Am an ex spec forces trooper from india. As i have seen enough blood most things doesnt affect me. But this really got into my bones. This could have been easily us if we chose congress and allied politicians to rule us instead of modi. everyone who voted for congress should watch this to know what was in store for us had we chosen those thieves. And it also reminds how blessed am to lead a peaceful and protected life in india. Will change my outlook to the problems i face from now on. Thanks for this documentary. Hope all these kids grow out stronger and become the base for a prosperous venezuela
Why don't you worry about your own country?😊
