Nice video. Very complete. I have a question, are the leftover pieces of hair usable in any way? If one has tufts of leftover hair is there an easy way to orient the hairs in the same direction?
Hi Linda, Sorry to trouble you but could I ask your advice? I’m in a play which requires me to have a ginger beard. They have given me a false one but I just look like Chewbacca! So I was advised that crepe wool looks more realistic. Other members of my acting group say they could help me apply it so have you any idea how much wool I need to order to make a full beard? If it’s easier for you my email address is makinsonp@aol.com. Many thanks Paul
+Octavio Heredia the Pros-Aide has a special remover. I use "life wipes" by mouldlife for this. But you could use Admed remover by Mehron or removers like this as well.
Yes you can! Yarn is less like hair then the crepe hair and that would make it less realistic. And mixing a few colors would be a bit harder to do. But yes. You can make it with wool or yarn.
Thank you so much! I always use Pros-Aide as a glue. It is strong and flexible. I would say it could stay for a few days if you wouldn't sleep on it. I never tried this but I guess it could stay quite a while.
Yes and yes! It will take a bit more time to make it look good but with some patience you can make it look great. For removal make sure you get the remover for the glue you are using ( there are specific removers for each glue).
Hello! love your tutorial! I was wondering if it would still look good if it was a shorter beard? I want to do a young Obi Wan Kenobi cosplay to a friend who doesn't grow a beard xD
Can I ask you a possibly stupid question? If you make a perfect beard using the wolcrepe, can you reuse it a few more times? Or would you have to attach it to lace to make it more durable?
Stupid questions dont exist 😊! Of you would want to reuse it you could try to create it with clear liquid latex in stead of prosaide. That would make a reusable base. Or indeed glue it on a skintone lace. That would work!
My father in law is going to be a San this year. Is the glue sturdy enough I'm case a child tries to pull on the beard? We want to make his natural beard thicker as well.
I know its unlikely youll see this due to the upload date, but how long does it typically last? Ive used a lace beard before for cosplay with pros aide and it lasted about 6 ish hours before the lace started to pull up due to sweat. Im worried thr same thing will happen for the crepe, is there a way to make it last longer? Also can this be used to make stubble or would it not look realistic? Like if i put some crepe hair on and then used a hair trimmer to shave it down would that work or would it just look unrealistic?
I am still here! Do you let the pros-aide become completely transparant before you stick the beard on it? That is very important. And using a very thin layer helps as well. Making stubble can look realistic but it takes a while to create. Use longer hair and cut it to your stubble length. The direction of the hair make it look real. I hope this helps.
As doll customizer I am curious if there is another type of glue I could use on plastics that would work like this glue? I am looking for permanence though.
I would use pros-aide on plastic 😁. But for more permanence you might want to use something like tix gel? We use this in prop making. Very strong glue.
I never tried washing my face with it. I think you could, if you are careful with the crêpe hair. It will last a while, could be a few days if you don't sleep on it.
Nice video. Very complete.

Great video. Very helpful. Not sure if I have the patience and skill to do what you did but at least i now know what's involved.
Thank you Paul.

Dankjewel voor het delen. Was super leerzaam! Groetjes uit Rotterdam (:
Hi!! Thanks for the tutorial.
I was wondering, how can you "unglue" or take away the beard? With warm water or acetone?
+Octavio Heredia the Pros-Aide has a special remover. I use "life wipes" by mouldlife for this. But you could use Admed remover by Mehron or removers like this as well.
This video shows beard removal for later use at abiut the 36 minute mark
Great video. There is any difference between wool crepe and crepe hair?
No, it is the same product.
Thank you so much for this video
Hi! Would there be a different process for making sideburns compared to a mustache and beard?
Dobra brada ♥️🤗
Hairspray - excellent tip!
First thing I thought of
Amazing❤❤❤
Thank you! 🥰
Love the tutorial
Eye brows to match
I’d like to see that😊
Thank you sooooooooooo much Linda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Simone Verduin, you are welcome! Hope you can take something from it for your beard work. X
Hello please answer: can I use yarn wool as an alternative and if yes what are the cons to using yarn for this?
Yes you can! Yarn is less like hair then the crepe hair and that would make it less realistic. And mixing a few colors would be a bit harder to do. But yes. You can make it with wool or yarn.
Awesome work! You are so talented! What kind of glue would be, say, the most permanent and how long would it stay on? Thanks in advanced!

Superb
Thanks this helped me with my wax museum
You are welcome!
i was thinking when you remove it, can it be reapplied again or its 1 time use only?
If you would use latex as glue you could. This one was just one time use with pros-aide

Is it possible to attach the wool crepe to my existing beard? And then wash the glue out of my existing beard?
Yes and yes! It will take a bit more time to make it look good but with some patience you can make it look great. For removal make sure you get the remover for the glue you are using ( there are specific removers for each glue).
Can you make a long santa beard using this technique? Thank you for a very entertaining video
Hello! love your tutorial! I was wondering if it would still look good if it was a shorter beard? I want to do a young Obi Wan Kenobi cosplay to a friend who doesn't grow a beard xD
+Mileena Harleen yes! Absolutely you can! Apply them a bit longer them you want them to be and tegen just cut them to the right length
Obi Wan is the exact cosplay I came to the video for!
same 😂😂
Very nice N God bless u
Hi, how long it’ll last for?
Hi. Thanks for the vid.
Im from the Philippines. How/where can I buy the WOLCREPE?
So of the creature effects in fantastic beats would be awsome
you are so pretty and funny... I can't find wolcrepe or crepe hair. Can I use acrylic yarn? I am going to use for puppet.
Thank you so much! Yes you can! But check what kind of glue you would need with that. To make it stick to the puppet permanently.
Can I ask you a possibly stupid question? If you make a perfect beard using the wolcrepe, can you reuse it a few more times? Or would you have to attach it to lace to make it more durable?

@@SchminkenGrime Thank you so much. I will certainly have a go with that with much more confidence.
Have fun with your project and good luck 😘

Pls answer me i gonna do this for my school project . What glue did you use?
+Aejay Zozobrado I used pros-aide for this.
@@SchminkenGrime What else can i use for it
??
@@emiliawiecek3061 we use spirit gum
Can I use mastix glue instead of pros-aide? Thank you!
Yes you can. It has more shine to it and it is less flexible but it will work for sure.

Nice!
I could not understand the name of the beard glue and the stuff she used for the beard.

Thankyou so much mam
I am thinking of doing a Zac Brown tribute. How long do you think it would take but on a full beard?
Cool look to make! I think you could do this in about 1 hour. Small tip. Prepare the crepe hair. That will save you time
Would I use only black and white to make a grey beard ??
I would use dark grey, medium gray and black then. Only black and white would be very hard
If i applied this to latex would it be permanent?
Yes. It would be reusable.
Can i use hot water , steaming iron for clothes or just put them on top of steam ?
+Redeemer Nigoohaem ironing works great to.
How long will it last? Can i wash my face while having that?
I never tried washing my face with it. I think you could, if you are careful with the crêpe hair. It will last a while, could be a few days if you don't sleep on it.
how can you make a full chin beard with this?. can you pls make a tutorial?
Hi, not sure what kind of beard you mean with full chin. Do you mean a bigger one then this one?
SchminkenGrime yes a full beard .
Can u please tell me which glue are you using?
That is pros-aide. schminkengrime.nl/pros-aide-60ml
@@SchminkenGrime thank you. But unfortunately pros aide isn't available in our country 🙂
that was great, thank you :D
Thank you for watching 😘
Can you please spell the name of the glue? Thank you very much.
Sure. It is prosaide: schminkengrime.nl/pros-aide-60ml
is it hard to remove the Pros Aide?
If you have the right remover it isn't. Without that,..... it is. Use lifewipes by mouldlife!
Where can I purchase crepe hair and is it expensive?
We sell it at our store 😊: schminkengrime.nl/grime-special-effects-makeup/wolcrepe
Como se llama ese material
Christian Soto García .
How to remove?
The hair you can just pull off the skin. The pros-aide you remove with a pros-aide remover. My personal favorites are the Life Wipes by Mouldlife.
What else can i use to glue it??
Spirit gum or mastix. Cosmetic glue
Ik hoor dat je nederlands bent ❤️
Would that be strong enough to add long hair to it with braiding?
+Renee Gberry yes!
great vid !!!!maybe add a little music in the background but other than i loved it :)
Name of the glue...????

SchminkenGrime thank you
Is That glue like modge podge?

Danke dir (: ich hoffe nur dein Tutorial hilft mir auch bei einem so kniffligen Bart wie dem von Jafar aus Disneys Aladdin (:
that was awesome... but how to remove it
How long will this beard stay on? Could someone sleep with it on and remain on the next day?
Yes! If you use the right glue. Pros-aide should so be perfect
😍😍😍😍😍😍👍
How long does this take to do in total?
+Tan, i made it in about 30 minutes. If it is your first beard it could take longer.
SchminkenGrime Cool, thank you!!
