Thank you! Restarting my iPad did the trick! Tried sharing wifi password from another device but that didn’t work.

This worked, but the question is what is the reason for this error? The password was correct, but only this method (sharing) worked. Can anyone post a logical explanation?

What passwords are we supposed to type? Is it your ISP account? maybe it's the router password/key? or is it the admin password for hub manager? I just want my ipad to use my BT router, so i can use the internet (ipad). My home pc internet is fine.

Have a look at these information.
If you don’t know the Wi-Fi password
If your cable or internet provider set up your Wi‑Fi router:
Look for a label on the side or bottom of the router. It might show the default network name and password.
      Network Name (SSID): XXXXXXXXXX
      Network Key (Password): XXXXXXXX
If your provider gave you a setup sheet, it might show your default network name and password.
Contact your cable or internet provider for help recovering or resetting your Wi‑Fi password.
If you own your Wi‑Fi router:
If someone else set up your network, ask that person for help.
If you never created a personal password, check the brand of your Wi‑Fi router and go to their website to find the default password.
To reset the password, call the router manufacturer, check their website, or check the router's manual.
If you’re using a public Wi‑Fi network at a library, hotel, business, or other shared space:
Look for signs or information sheets that give the Wi‑Fi network name and password.
Some public Wi‑Fi networks might ask you to log in after joining the network.
Ask a staff member for help.

How about hotspot from Android to ipad mini 1 can't connect?

    • @sixbux
      @sixbux  Месяц назад

It can be frustrating when your iPad Mini 1 can't connect to a hotspot from an Android device. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:
      1. Check Hotspot Settings: Ensure that your Android phone's hotspot is not set as a hidden network. To unhide it, go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Hotspot and Tethering > Mobile Hotspot > Configure > Advanced, and disable the toggle next to "Hidden network"⁴.
      2. Restart Devices: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix connectivity issues. Restart both your Android phone and your iPad Mini.
      3. Forget and Reconnect: On your iPad, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, find the hotspot network, tap the "i" icon next to it, and select "Forget This Network." Then, try reconnecting to the hotspot.
      4. Reset Network Settings: On your iPad, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will erase all your network settings, including Wi-Fi passwords, so you'll need to reconnect to your networks.
      5. Update Software: Ensure both your Android phone and iPad Mini are running the latest software updates. Sometimes, updates can fix bugs and improve connectivity.
      6. Check Compatibility: Make sure your Android phone's hotspot is compatible with the iPad Mini 1. Some older devices may have compatibility issues with newer hotspot technologies.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, there might be a deeper hardware or software problem. In that case, contacting your local repair shop

how did you share it from the iphone

    • @sixbux
      @sixbux  9 месяцев назад

Certainly! To **share your Wi-Fi password** from your iPhone to an iPad, follow these steps:
      1. **Ensure both devices** (iPhone and iPad) have the **latest version of iOS or iPadOS** installed.
      2. **Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth** on both devices.
      3. **Disable Personal Hotspot** if it's enabled on either device.
      4. **Sign into iCloud** with your Apple ID on both devices.
      5. **Make sure** the email address associated with your Apple ID is **saved in the other person's Contacts**, and vice versa.
      6. **Keep the other person's device nearby**, within Bluetooth and Wi-Fi range.
Now, let's proceed with sharing the Wi-Fi password:
      1. **Unlock your iPhone** (the one sharing the password).
      2. **Connect to the Wi-Fi network** you want to share.
      3. On your iPhone:
      - **Tap the Wi-Fi network name**.
      - A **"Share Password"** prompt will appear.
      - **Tap "Share Password"**.
      - Confirm by tapping **"Done"**.
The Wi-Fi password will be automatically shared with the iPad. If you encounter any issues, try restarting both devices and ensure that the other person enters the password manually if needed¹²³. Enjoy your connected devices!

Hi this is a year old vid not sure if I will get a response. I have an old 3rd gen iPad that was working fine till I updated to the (latest and last available iOS 9.3.5) and now the wifi is causing a real problem. I initially tried al the steps with no luck the only way I can get the iPad to connect to the router is to physically get it really close to the router. It's definitely a sw bug since the same iPad was happily connecting to the home network all this while with no range issue. I wish I hadn't updated it to the latest version ☹️. Not sure what I can do to fix this unless I do a factory reset and roll back to the iOS it came with. Any suggestions would be really helpful 🙂. Thank you!

Jacob Siggaard thank you for such a quick and detailed response. Really appreciate it 🙂. Unfortunately I had tried all of these earlier before posting the query. I had browsed through all your earlier suggestions for the various comments even checked out the websites. The problem definitely lies in the software 9.3.5. Funnily while my other iPhones and MacBooks and android devices connect with no issue this particular iPad only connects when it's like literally right next to the router. Else no. And the problem started with the software update. I am thinking of resetting it to factory default and update it to the version right before 9.3.5 since I can't downgrade.

How to see the see password?

    • @sixbux
      @sixbux  4 года назад +2

You cannot see the password but you can share it from another apple device.
To share your password with another device, first go through the process of connecting that device to Wi-Fi like you normally would.
      Open the settings app
      1. Go to Wi-Fi
      2. Choose the network you want to connect to from the Choose A Network… List
      3. Wait once at the Enter Password screen
      4. Now with your other device or friends phone waiting at the enter password screen follow these steps.
      Unlock your phone
      1. Hold your phone next to your friends phone or iPad
      2. A popup should appear at the bottom of the screen asking if you want to share your password.
      3. Press the Send Password button.

      Check your storage
If your device’s internal storage is getting full, your iPad may not run smoothly. So it’s a good idea to check your storage and see what you have available.
Open Settings > General > iPad Storage Quickly Free Up iPhone and iPad Storage Using iOS Settings
Take a look at the top graph and look at your used vs. available storage numbers
Scroll down for a list of iOS recommendations
Look further down and scroll the list of apps to see how much storage your apps currently use
Try to have a look at DFU mode:
You can put an iPad in DFU mode - Device Firmware Update mode - to restore an iPad that seems to have malfunctioned beyond all use. DFU mode will allow you to use your iPad again, but in so doing you will lose all your files, pictures, and everything else in its memory. See details here: www.imore.com/how-to-iphone-ipad-dfu-mode
A lot of the time, a bad app can be the reason why your iPad screen freezes. The app may crash when you open it or use it, freezing your iPad. One quick way to see if you're having issues with a specific app is to head to iPad Analytics. Open Settings and tap Privacy -> Analytics -> Analytics Data.
Bad apps are also among the possible triggers. Your device screen can end up frozen or unresponsive if certain apps crashed or stopped responding. If the symptoms occur only when using a certain app or after downloading a new app, then that app is most likely the culprit and therefore needs to be obliterated.

In iOS, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, then find your connection and tap the info (i) icon next to it and tap Forget This Network, tap Confirm and then try to reconnect. None of this works. And it’s doing the same thing on my iPhone 13 Pro Max as well as my IPad Air 4. For no friggn reason at all. Just randomly did it. Was just using both and on WiFi and both are fucked now. Tried every single thing every video has said and none of it works. Also can’t even share from IPhone to IPad because it isn’t working either. And I know my WiFi is fine because I’m using it to watch Amazon Prime right now VIA the same exact WiFi. This is bullshit and Apple is bullshit

I'm sorry you're having trouble with your Wi-Fi connection on your iPad. Here are some steps you can try to fix the "Incorrect Password" issue:
      1. Double-Check the Password: Ensure that you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password, paying attention to case sensitivity and any special characters.
      2. Forget and Rejoin the Network:
      - Go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
      - Tap the (i) next to your Wi-Fi network.
      - Select Forget This Network.
      - Rejoin the network by selecting it and entering the password again.
      3. Restart Your Devices:
      - Restart your iPad by holding down the power button and sliding to power off.
      - Restart your Wi-Fi router by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.
      4. Reset Network Settings:
      - Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
      - This will reset all network settings, including Wi-Fi passwords, so you will need to re-enter them.
      5. Update iOS: Make sure your iPad is running the latest version of iOS. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check for updates.
      6. Share Wi-Fi Password from iPhone:
      - Ensure both devices are close to each other and connected to the same Apple ID.
      - On your iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and select the network.
      - When prompted on your iPad, tap Share Password.

We have had the exact same issue, but worse, because we couldn't even share passwords. This is what worked for me: Go into your phone, find out what the MAC Address is for wifi, write it down, then go into your router and WHITELIST the Mac address. this solved our problem.
