Andy, not only did I live through out my life with his music, but so did my dad. And my grandfather. His music passed down through generations, and it wasn’t a phase or a fad. I would like to take this moment in my day to tell you Andy how much i admire you and your channel and how much i admire you. Chente was the main influence that drew me to the música ranchera from a young age and his passing hurts every day knowing that he is gone. Just to know that there exists such a level of appreciation for the genre outside of the Latino community brings tears to my eyes. For me El Mariachi is not only a symbol of my Mexican culture but a symbol of who I am. I hope that in my generation they're individuals who long to connect with genre the way i wish too and not let die one of the most iconic sounds in traditional Mexican music. I was just driving home this morning and it’s been a few days since he passed. But I put some songs on Spotify in my car and just drove home crying. Happy times, sad times his songs were the silhouette in the background of all family gatherings. Truly a loss to humanity I hope he is resting now peacefully.

I'm not Mexican, but I grew-up listening to Vicente Fernandez. My father loved him. He left us in the day of Our Lady of Guadalupe (our virgen Mary). She called him, to go home. I was just driving home this morning and it’s been a few days since he passed. But I put some songs on Spotify in my car and just drove home crying. Happy times, sad times his songs were the silhouette in the background of all family gatherings. Truly a loss to humanity I hope he is resting now peacefully.

Yo conocí primero a Alejandro lo ví en el festival de viña del mar el 2006 y quedé sin palabras luego supe que su padre es Vicente y fue una grata sorpresa ya que por mi cercanía con México sabía de algunas leyendas de la música que ya no estaban en este planeta y me pareció curioso que Vicente aún viviera fue como un regalo y creo que sí potente voz como dice una frase "cuando Vicente canta se estremece el cielo " gracias por tu emoción,tu reacción y tú respeto muchas gracias.
