The happiness amounts for the dailies were changed last season. There wasn’t a change for this season. The total amount of happiness didn’t change, but the distribution of it did, based on how much effort was needed for each task. Or something like that

To get the last character it's always the same: very limited time, and you have to get a lot of objects but the probability to get one is tiny. So to get 10 objects you must do 100x the job. If you have spend a ridiculous amount of real money in this pay2win game then it's possible if you also "play" (clicking again and again every few hours) a lot. Otherwise there's no way you can get it.
I don't buy the season pass and I have never been able (after many years on that game) to get the last character even after spending 500diams to get the extra character to speed up things.
