i’m half japanese, i speak japanese and i lived in japan when i was little but i still don’t know how to read most kanjis ☠️
There’s over 50,000 Kanji characters. Very few native speakers know all of them. And he lives in the US now, so it’s no big surprise.
@@immortalsun No one knows them. Only about 2000 are taught in school. The kanken level 1 exam has 6000 characters and very few even attempt that. That specific character however is 里, sato, meaning village. It's taught in the second grade.

10:00 talking about pie size, in Australia it's much more common to have "snack size" pies. they're basically single serve, a little apple pie the size of your palm. You can't get big cherry pies, pumpkin pies, etc. some places probably sell them but basically the only pies we have, both sweet and savoury, are small ones.
