    How did you get through all those pages in the official curriculum in just 2 months? I am going to take the Level 1 exam in November, and I cannot imagine reading +3000 pages in the months ahead while working fulltime as well

    • @SarahSivan
      @SarahSivan  Год назад +5

      Hi! Yes, the material can seem overwhelming and is dense to get through. To make it more manageable, I split up the readings to approximately 1 chapter a day over two months. It was really helpful to keep an even pace and spread out the curriculum like that. I just posted my CFA level 2 video (I had studied for 5 months for level 2) so that may be helpful for you to watch if you want to add some extra study time with a full time work schedule. Wishing you the best of luck for your November exam :) 🙏☺️

    1. Hi Sarah, love your vids. I know you advocate for CFAI material, and they now charge us for a premium content version that includes 1000 extra question bank questions and 5 extra mocks. But it is 300 dollars. Would you recommend it? I have done all of the free question bank questions (1700 ish) and will do the 2 free mocks, but unsure if I should pay for the extra questions and mocks.
    2. Also, how did you memorise all the formulas/small details? Every time I finish a topic, I forget some stuff from what I learned in another topic. So for example, by the time I've finished Fixed income, I struggle to remember formulas from Quantitative methods

      Hi Sam, thank you - hope the video was helpful for you! For the average test taker, I would assume 9 months may be a lot of study time. Hi! I did not use schweser so not too sure. I know many people use it and they like the format. I would look at the official Cfa books/content as a supplement to schweser just to make sure you’re capturing the exam content. Best of luck for your level 1 exam!

    • @SarahSivan
      @SarahSivan  5 месяцев назад

      Hi Saransh, I am not too familiar with bcom Hons-is this a bachelors degree level? If so, you are eligible to take the Cfa as early as your last year in a bachelors program or if you meet the specific work requirements listed on the Cfa official website. I would check on their website to make sure you meet eligibility criteria for level 1

    Hey MAm I am in class 11 can you provide some tips

    • @SarahSivan
      @SarahSivan  Год назад +1

      Hi Aditi! I’m assuming by class 11 you mean grade 11 in high school? In order to sit for the CFA exam you must have a bachelors degree or the exam must be within 23 months of your graduation date (as on the Cfa website) so it may be a bit early for you to get started on Cfa studying! General tips for getting involved with the program would be attending a college and taking rigorous courses in finance, accounting and business ethics if you can. Taking statistics and economics classes may also be helpful to prepare for the cfa curriculum. You can look through the Cfa website to learn more about the program and exam to see if it’s something you want to pursue and when to sign up for an exam day when you become eligible. Hope this is helpful, and let me know if you have any other questions!! 😊
