Reverse butterfly‘s with low weight, and lower traps warm ups with external shoulder rotation and a band. Rotate thumbs up, while pulling the band to the lower part of your chest and hold. Helps to move your shoulders back and stabilise, when you do chest exercises. Rotator cuffs and backhead of the shoulder are often weak if lats and chest are over developed and cause wrong posture for benching.
I cured my wrist clicking once I hit my 30s and tried some new things on it. What worked: banded stabilizations for isometric holds, wrist roller (the kind where you roll the string up by twisting a stick), hammer pronation. Developing grip strength balanced with extensor strength is also helpful.
@MrgLoRybLue front entry knee reconstruction. Broke the tibial plateau off, dislocated knee while bent. They pinned down the break and sewed together some ligaments Acl, pcl, and meniscus partial tears
I never had any knee pain although they always cracked. I don't know if I need to address my squat form but this touchdown squat got my glutes fired big time so thanks! Better safe than sorry :)
There are bubbles popping in the joint, it's absolutely normal as long as there's no pain. Sitting on your heels (with all your BW) & your feet under your butt with your feet top side down and hold that position for as close to 2 min as possible at first 30 sec is torture but if you push through it your knees will go from popping every bend to once every few days. I also use the horse stance and now have minimal popping. 👍🏼
the Barbell Medicine guys have an interesting take on this: joints are humanly oiled machines, cracking or popping is unpredictable and, in a way, inevitable. Expecting absolutely no cracking is setting yourself up for frustration
What a legend! Thank you, I have the worst left knee pain, and it's been there for years, it always pains after leg or butt workouts, I've been trying everything that you say in all your videos. Will try this as well.
Experience this problem as well as lower back pain.....I tried dead hanging and BOY DID IT HURT....but I'm trying out the info from these videos .....thank you so much
Anyone remember the time when you would just work out. Now you have to do dynamic warmup and mobility drills then do a movement specific priming workout before each working set of the actual workout.
As time goes on, more knowledge about exercise comes around as well. With exercise science being a field now, we know there are more effective ways to work out today.
All of which probably adds up to over an hour at the gym, making exercise look totally unattainable for people who have to live real life with things to do and places to go.
After an Achilles repair AND meniscus tear (same leg, ugh), I have incorporated these two exercises into my Leg Day warmups - best decision ever. I'm steadily regaining my leg development and seeing gains. The first exercise in particular has been a miracle.
Solid exercises! I just tried them and you're right - the glute activation is key on the first exercise. I would have tapped down without it, so thank you!
I think the only thing that was missing was to include a routine example at the end of a video, hope to see it in all your future videos! Great job Aaron! Ps: It would be nice to see more content on winged scapula, could find only one video and one content on your blog (serratus anterior article).
I wish I could get help from someone like you. I had a partial meniscus removal in my right knee plus a Arthroscopy in both. I have had PT several times and they just used some basic exercises and never broke down the body mechanics and isolation etc.
I used to have crazy cracking knees before I started training Goblet squats with kettlebell I do them for years now I have forgot that I even had them 😄

How does this stop the knees from making noises? I see plenty of people who use correct form yet their knees crack without pain. So how does priming the glutes fix the issues with the knees?
I had these knee cracking problem ..what helped me excercising my calves muscle.and do squat with toes pointing sideways..it works over all on glutes ,knees put pressure on ur butt..
Thank you for this info. I would love to see and hear something a bit easier to follow. I found myself getting lost. (“Until you feel your glutes” and “take your hand away” was confusing and unspecific.) The beginning crackling sound joke confused me instead of engaged me. The info that followed was valuable and interesting. Thank you.
All of my joints pop, I think I might have hyper mobility. I stretch any part of my body specifically, it just starts popping. My dad also has popping knees. No pain, just annoying. My left knee did start hurting when I did pistol squats though, but I think I just overworked the joint and form broke down trying to match the strength of my right leg.
I fixed them by doing deep leg press in addition to squats. Probably some imbalance shit going on, anyway they haven't hurt in ages. If I only squat, they'll hurt
My knees have cracked since I was 13 years old. Every time I squat or bend with weight. Ive never (knock on wood) had an injury to my knees. My lil bottle-caps, as I call em, are doing just fine. Ive always wondered tho, why do they always pop?
Man my knees sound like a grinder when I go up the stairs and continuously click and pop while walking. No pain usually tho but if this fixes the issue ill be sure to update here 🤘
This sounds fantastic, I ruined my knees as a snowboard instructor and will forget every exercise listed before I wake up tomorrow because of all the concussions.
im not exactly sure if these workouts will truly help in your case, and if they do, your pain and creakiness will most likely not go away. if you havent already gotten it checked out, please do so. your knees are the worst joints to damage, because they will most likely never get better. like if you have meniscus damage, you may have better results by getting the damaged portions surgically removed. i really hope you feel better!

i watch all these videos and my knees and ankles crack every time i do a squat or similar motion there is no pain and no problems directly linked to it, idk if it’s something i should be concerned about or not
I did this routine when I was a hardcore gym rat years ago. It definitely helped me push to new PRs since my knees hated me on squats followed by lower-back issues mostly. A new issue sprung up as I got older with shoulder pain of sorts and it's random so that's something I'll have to figure out.

That’s because they’re not full of shit. Crepitus is totally fine.. and not something to “fix”.. especially not with “priming” glutes. (?) lol wtf
You are right. If anything it comes down to warming up and strengthening the structures, but it’s not a bad thing per se
That's true, I think he just took the opportunity to show some tricks for knee protection.
The term for the noises our joints make is called crepitus. The term is just noise is made but people assume it is bad
Yeah but too much cracking is another problem
