      Ok, I really liked the review.
      Was hoping to see the Walnut top, I'm putting a gorgeous figured Claro Walnut top on one (and possibly two, if a potential buyer decides for that instead of a figured Redwood) of my first nine builds,, and I"d love to see what PRS does with walnut.
      One thing that would have been really cool, is that since you played a djent-ish rhythm guitar at the beginning of the review, if you would have played a more traditional metal, or thrash metal, or maybe just a little variation in the subgenre of metal, to get a better sense of how that guitar, and specifically those pickups, lend themselves to other sub genres that potential customers might want to hear.
      Like you said, there aren't a lot of guitars on the market that have those pickups loaded, so it's very difficult to ever try them out. And being one of the most expensive aftermarket pickups Seymour Duncan, offers, people who want to try them before they buy them usually.
      Just a thought. Otherwise, a good review video.

    I love how you said it's like a 3-hour drive from the nut to the first threat that's funny as s*** like I said I'm shocked by the extra large scale really never seen one in person except around like a base

  • @jp2503
    @jp2503 3 года назад +1

    I bought the six string version used recently. I like it a lot. I was a tiny bit worried when you complained about the neck radius but I used to have an Ibanez RGA32 and that had a wizard 2 neck I believe. This neck is actually less flat so I cannot relate. I really love this guitar. I will replace the nut and maybe eventually upgrade the tuners, saddles, and upgrade the pots but only the nut is really a priority.

  • @Handsofakiller19
    @Handsofakiller19 4 года назад

    E# is F and has been written in as an accidental to raise the pitch a semitone and lower the pitch a semitone with an E natural accidental in a run or something to creat dissonance or another harmonic effect when played over the other parts of the composition. So not an official note because it's really is F but it sorta exists, I've seen it in a piece

  • @thisguy2973
    @thisguy2973 4 года назад

    Fretboard radius should feel the exact same in terms of curvature on a guitar regardless of the string count. The circle that the radius represent is still a 40” diameter circle, so going from a 6 to 7 shouldn’t have a noticeable change other than making the fretboard wider. 20” = 20”.

  • @Polletross

    I was going to wait 6 months for the Walnut Satin, until I heard this axe has a flatter neck. I went with the regular PRS SE SVN, found a mint one used for $659 as my first 7 string. Love, love the guitar, and that is coming from a high end American Strat Plus, which just isn't for a Dream Theater fanboy like me. And not just for metal. I like the HW on the Holcomb better, but I can't seem to care that much.

I did notice when you look on the prs website the other seven string is no longer there. So I'm wondering if the Holcomb is now the only one they offer for 2020. As always great vid. Sound wise I'm in complete agreement about the pick ups. They seem much better suited for extended range.
