you could but that would be more like betting for fun still. if gatto is -400 and she doesn’t cover her pricetag whether you straight bet that or parlay, it’s still a bad bet. some people think if she wins well it’s a good bet regardless. but let’s say she wins 2-1 going into the final round 1-1 or its a split decision, this would indicate she doesn’t have an 80% chance. -400 = 80% chance, so straight betting that or parlaying it, it’s still the same thing, a bad bet is a bad bet. what we wanna do is put money on lines that have a better chance than what’s implied. for example, let’s say you think gorimbo wins this fight 6 times out of 10, that’s 60% and 60% = -150, so if you’re getting gorimbo at -130 56.5% chance, that’s a +3.5% difference in our favour, essentially we’ve made a bet that has a better chance than what’s implied, getting paid more than what we believe we should be, that’s what we wanna do! because those are good bets, we want +% value bets, and to avoid the -% bets. the tough part is deciding which fighters have a better chance than their implied odds, and which fighters have less chance than their implied line. imo gatto doesn’t have an 80% chance, therefore making her a -% bet, so if i was to parlay her it doesn’t excuse the loss of value, if anything it makes it worse because i’ve compiled it.
