Large up Don Sinclair. Metro a mi personal elder bredren from I man reach age 12/13. I used to check him as a yout inna im yard and he still checks I man till dis day. Great friend and inspiration. Give tanks fi dis I-ditation. Afrikan Simba seh soh.
My Dad always talked about Tom The Great Sebastian, it’s great to see Metro again telling his story, last interview I saw him in he was repairing a piece of equipment at the same time as being interviewed, give thanks for this interview Don Sinclair 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
The old man would love this: as a yute he kept talking about Wong's Tom the Great Sebastian sound (c. 1950) and to see another sound man from the 50's is like gold. Sinclair, glad you have this documented.
History untold very informative there’s no part 1 or 2 only Volumes. It’s incredible being in the Sound system biz fo so long and no gadgets like headphones Metro is sharper than a razor and clarity impeccable
This interview reminds me of my Dad, he used to build house of joy boxes & use 18” & 15” Goodmans & Fane speakers, an 800 watt valve amplifier with KT88s in a case with the pretty lights & a Garrard 4HF turntable. Nuff soundmen loved my Dads system especially the amplifier case & his boxes as they were so pretty to look at. Unfortunately when my Dad died my brother destroyed the system, some people don’t know the value of things, my Dad passed in 2009 & I’ve been angry ever since.
