I love how unapologetic NMIXX are with their music, choreo, and overall attitude. Really feels like their music producers have locked in on the immense talent of this group and are using their vocals as they would any instrument, while still giving us an insane choreo on top of the high flying vocals and harmonies.

the best way i can describe nmixx is that they are the female counterparts of exo. vocals and sound-wise sans change up. as an exo-l, exo’s vocals and sound are what attracted me to them and that’s the same way i see nmixx. especially with this most recent album, so i hope you have the time to check it out.

Caitlin let me just TELL you girl. I didn’t really enjoy their other EP expèrgo. I felt like it lacked a bit of identity. But fe304: BREAK is INSAAAANE. When I went to listen I literally was like “WHAT???? This has no right being this good”
Like this is the comeback that is making me stan.

I’m also not the biggest fan of their change ups but I’m OBSESSEDDD with this one simply bc of the “mm I just wanna continue my pace ah” part 😭 it’s addicting
I also think of the mix-up as a bridge! It's in the exact place you'd have a bridge and is really only the length of a bridge. But most importantly I think is that it doesn't change tempo, which REALLY helps it to flow. The way that the beat switches makes it *feel* slower and more floaty, but the tempo is consistent, which is not true for O.O or Dice, and I think that makes a huge difference!! I absolutely love this song, seriously obsessed, and gad DAMN THEIR CHOREO GOES SO HARD I love them sm 😍

Ive been a casual listener of nmixx for a while, but this made me a stan
ever since i heard the change up, my ears never stopped longing for it. compared to O.O, who also had a very nice and eargasmic change up, this one is probably their most effective. IT WORKS because they used the most suitable members to pull it off.
nevertheless, bc of this song i decided that BAE will be my bias especially when i watched the MUJIN SERVICE featuring her. SHES PHENOMENAL.
I never really listened to NMIXX prior to this, but Dash is BRILLIANT production wise, vocally, and choreography, wise imo! The change up really works in this song for me, and that slow down???? SO good
I have to say that when I heard JIWOO's shifting rap and the intro to break the wall, I knew Fe3O4 would be NMIXX's most perfect album to date
I really appreciate the change-up, especially when the part is on the bridge, unlike how they did on previous releases. bridge, indeed, the different part of the song, along with the raps, but somehow raps can sound as same as other verses. but for bridge, everyone accepted how it sounds different from other parts, so maybe for DASH, everyone loves how this whole song sounds. the song not messy as how ppl judge them, this song still works for their concept. congrats NMIXX, lets snatch those music shows wins and award shows!!!
I honestly think it’s the visual in the video that makes the change up so jarring. In the context of a performance or just listening straight through, you’re right it just flows more like a bridge. I really hope these girls get more of the shine they deserve this comeback. They’re mad talented.

TBH as a newer kpop listener, we're talking 2020 and beyond... I sort of detest the NMIXX mixup... I have always LOVED that they tend to take their songs elsewhere, but it was never 'for me'. Until this song. This song makes me want to dive deep into their discography. Lily and Bae vocals are everything. Their harmonies are everything! I'm so excited to dive deeper and learn more about each of them!! And many thanks to their fans who have already commented and given me a guideline! Seriously, they are slaying me with this entire album.

Ugh this song is so good! And that nmixx change up part works so well since there using it as a bridge AND I LOVE when bridges are different than the whole vibe of the song! I also love the “2nd chorus” very R&B!! The harmonies too 😭😭that dash part is a bit repetitive
Nmixx was on my radar with their previous releases, but this project completely pulled me in. Dash is the definition of a title track that fits the vocal stylings and choreo ability of Nmixx.
It makes sense that the letters during the end credits screen of their music video were attracted to each other considering that their album is named after Iron Oxide. Their skills are magnetic indeed.

You need to watch their RUclips video on their 2nd EP Fe:304: Break 7 acappella performance. The vocals for this album is such a highlight! Too good! Thanks for your great reaction as usual! This song had to grow on me but the vocals performance and the choreo won me over!

As a producer, that brief tempo change up was incredible. It's not hard to do on a technical level, just a couple clicks in software, but the creative idea, the execution, flawless.
And Haewon ate that MV up.

I feel like the slow down part of the song, represents their view of what everyone around them looks like. As in they are going so fast that everyone else seems slow. Like in movies when it has a character that goes really fast, it slows down to show their point of view.
Can’t wait to see you watch the album! It’s so so good. Also it’s completely okay to not be immediately well adapted to the switch ups - we all have different tastes; that’s what makes things interesting! 😭 Imagine if we all liked the same exact things; it’d be incredibly boring. I do agree that though the transitions are some of their best this time, the switch up is definitely less memorable than the rest of the song this time around. I’m a Dash enthusiast regardless though ✊
Anyway, the girls are all super funny and interesting on their own content so I can promise it won’t disappoint if you decide to get further into them as a fan! :)

NMIXX definitely leveled up with this comeback and album.
I feel like this song specifically highlights their musicality, as well as how much they've matured as a group. They are completely owning their sound here and it is so good!
I liked how the slow down really showcased how they continue to defy expectations whether it be by slowing down the pre-chorus abruptly or by doing the change-up. “Hey you bastards I’m still here” GAGGED

oh that was GOOOOOOOOOOD I heard a snippet of the song yesterday and I opened youtube today to check the mv but I saw you uploaded this reaction so I decided to check it here instead , this song is FIRE. I have to admit I wasn't a supporter of the whole 'change up' concept (honestly I still don't like the debut song) but this feels so good, even if they announce the change up it's so seamless, like two extremes of the same genre
I'm not an Nmixx listener, not cause I think they're bad at all, I'm just an older kpop fan who mostly listens to my 2nd and 3rd gen groups still (massive Exo-L and ReVeluv). This album bangs though. Sonar caught my ear randomly so I had to check out this comeback too. Dig the vibes.

Caitlin I'm telling you I've never heard any bsides of nmixx except for those have performances but in this album I have no chance to skip especially PASSION FRUIT it's so good and all of the song. This album is already an album of the year I really recommend listening to it

Loving the channel and your comments on dash. I agree that the change up was quite jarring but when you see the choreography it makes sense. I have been a fan of NMIXX since the first performance and I wasn't to suprised that this album was going to be something special they have progressed track after track. I believe if JYP continue to support NMIXX and allows them to continue creating this style of music then they will be a big success outside of korea. Looking forward to the next installment.
