The counselor he was seeing for his daughter preformed a ritual with him for her to get better. So they contacted a god (I forgot which one it was, forgive me) and so he had to pledge to that god to be loyal and that he would worship him always. So he had to rip out his tongue, stab his hand, and stab out his eye. Just to seal the promise. So then the father was told to fill the bathtub in their house with red wine, I’m pretty sure. And the daughter had to stay in it until she got better. The father was told not to disturb the process, so he couldn’t check on his daughter. The daughter ended up drowning and died. And so the father ended up feeling guilty. He lost his wife and daughter, but for what? He was promised his daughter would get better but she still ended up dying.

I’m rewatching all of Cory’s old videos, and every time he talks about a soothing dad voice in this video, I tear up. My dad was diagnosed with a rare disease called ALS, and there is no cure to it. Basically, it just takes away your ability to eat, move, talk, and even breathe. So, right now my dad has to talk with a computer and work everything with only the eyes.😢 But, Cory never fails to bring me joy, he had such a great character, I appreciate him so much.
