I've also been going through and trying to finish games I never got around to finishing. I mostly do older games though but some new ones as well. I just finished Jedi knight 2 and mysteries of the sith.
Yeah I love playing a mix of retro games and newer ones. A lot of games I play lately is just based on what I feel like playing (certain genre) or recommendations from friends, word of mouth or from RUclipsrs.

I need to get back to the original dead space as well, and then try to finsih 2 and 3.
