The thing that's boring about most celebrity brands is that they are all the same colour schemes in different formulas. Most celebrities have a specific makeup look and almost always use nudes with a bit or a red lip and sometimes eyeliner, so most of their products look the same! It only make sense to me when it's someone who feels like they can do it better or differently than it's already done, like About Face did
I wanna see celebrity indie brands! Like that would be so cool because then they would have full creative control and do more things out of the box! Like imagine a Helena Bohnem Carter or Amy Lee from evanescence! Giiiiirl! They would be bomb! 😍
Iman Abdulmajid-Bowie launched the first celebrity owned colour-inclusive makeup line in 1994.. she walked so that Rihanna could run when she launched Fenty Beauty in 2017 💜
GXVE is having 50% off their site for black Friday so I grabbed the highlighter and several lipsticks to try since you've been saying they are good. I'm excited!
Gwen has been doing her own make up for decades lol that’s why even though her eyeshadows are kind of boring products are really good. Because it’s stuff that she uses herself. She was testing her products out for a long time without anyone knowing. Videos of her back in the 90s doing her makeup before shows. But she’s into more classic looks. So I don’t expect her to put out crazy eyeshadow palettes knowing her style.
That haus labs fire opal you used is actually my current fave product I’ve tried from a celebrity. I sort of can’t believe I bought it, it’s so spendy 🙈 but lord the formula is swoon-worthy, and that colourrrr 🤤🤤🤤🔥🔥🔥 And if zendaya did a makeup line I’d be allllll over that, she’s just so sensational I have to assume she’d only release pure magic 🤩🔮
My favorite perfume is discontinued Celine Dion's Sensational. I'm not big on building a perfume collection. I do love that there are online retail co. that can recreate discontinued fragrances. I was actually going through all my forgotten stash of lotions and found the matching lotion. I took it to work and have been using it up. A blast from the past. I've been saving the perfume for only special occasions. I just got up to spray it again. Oh the celebrity perfume days and those commercials. I like Kylie's Cosmetics Tinted Butter Balm in Moving on red shade. The packaging is plastic and seems fragile though. Just hoping it doesn't break. It reminds me of Nars (Afterglow-if I'm remembering correctly).
I use the Haus Labs highlighter as a blush as well. I think the most successful brands are Fenty, Rare Beauty and Haus Labs. Rare Beauty is value priced and I think this keeps her competitive as much as her nice reputation. REM makes most of their money on fragrances. I think Gwen Stefani is a bit late to the game. I expect Flower Beauty is going to catch up. They have a huge potential market and a reputation for quality.
One thing about REM I don’t understand when you mentioned vanilla scent in lipstick. Maybe I am doing their work for free but imagine if she launched limited edition of her lipsticks with scents from her parfume line. People obviously love booth and it’s quick cash grab. Plus she can crossover her parfume and makeup fans into buying her products. Or maybe it only makes sense in my head lol. Of course I don’t know how her managment operates and if they are even able to collaborate on this level but somehow it actually sounds like something I would buy. Imagine your favorite parfume in lipstick 🤤 not that overpowering headache scent just a scent like in regular lipstick. Thanks for the video ❤ good luck with your declutter videos and have a nice day.
Angie, I would love to see you do the same video but on celebrity Makeup Artist’s makeup brands! GXVE Beauty is having a 50% off sale right now and I got 8 products for about $80 dollars! Also Charlotte Tilbury is having a buy one get one free sale. I picked up my favorite moisturizer of all time The Magic Cream! I saved $100 dollars ☺️ I purchased the Fenty tint stick and the Haus Lans concealer from when you and Ms. Samantha March both tried them out. I love them both!
My dad was a rep for Coty and my house was FULL of celebrity perfumes. The JLo 😂 I can remember every iteration of that. And the lotions etc....loved 00's beauty.
The only problem with Haus Labs is it's so good and I'm in love with everything I've tried from their rebrand. I ended up buying from their sale this week too. Going to try their concealer, their blush watermelon, a new highlighter colour, and the deep red lip lacquer. It's not available to buy in-store in Australia yet, which might be a good thing coz ah, love the aesthetics
Late 90’s, and especially early 00’s for celebrity fragrances. J Lo Glow, all of the Britney perfumes, Paris Hilton, Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. I worked in Cosmetics at Macy’s and we could not keep Lovely or whatever the newest Britney fragrance was in stock. Designer houses were popular too, like DKNY, Calvin Klein, Dior, but that era smelled like Mugler’s Angel for me. 😹
Elizabeth Taylor was the first celebrity to make a perfume in 1988. In 1991 her second perfume White Diamonds is the one that actually did well. To this day it’s the most successful celebrity perfume selling in the billions.
@@GMW.artist yes she was!! Do your research. There were some collabs. But the celebrity fit example Cher had no say in the scent, packaging or nothing. That’s a collab not a celebrity perfume release.
@Makayz I'm sure elizabeth taylor kicked off the big rush to celebrity perfumes in the late 1980s. but celebrities have done perfumes for a long time. The Beatles had a perfume in the 1960s as did many pop icons then. Much further back Beau Brummell, the famous Regency dandy, had his own cologne in the 18th Century (and there were celebrity endorsements from emma hammilton, Nelson's lover). I'm sure there were some in Victorian times Even Elizabeth Taylor was inspired to her late '80s perfume by the success of Salvador Dalis scent from 1982 onwards.
REM highlighter is 50% off ($11) at Ulta. The entire GXVE brand is 50% off sitewide and HAUS is 20% sitewide. HAUS is my favorite brand-- complexion and cheek is phenomenal.
Yes, celebs and their perfumes in the late 90s! 😂 Flower Beauty has good shimmer eyeshadows and everything I have tried so far from Flower is 20:27 high quality and affordable!
I adore Fenty. Nearly everything I’ve tried I’ve loved. That foundation stick is superb. I don’t like the Eaze drops but my daughter is a huge fan. Her bronzer is my absolute fave.
I don't have a lot of celebrity brand makeup, but I bought a ton of Haus Labs when it went 50% off on Amazon. The blush and highlighter duos, lip glosses, and liquid eyeshadows are really good, but my favorite thing is the pencil liners. They stay on me so well, even after washing my face. I love them!
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the Fenty powder bronzer you love so much! I also love many things from fenty (the eaze drops and the hydrating primer are staples) and I like the rare beauty cream bronzers and the famous blushes.
I have two products from celebrity brands. One is Rare Beauty Blush. After hearing good things about it, I bought one and I like it. I like liquid and cream blushes as they last longer on me. The other is a Haus Labs lip gloss I got on clearance at Amazon. Other than that, when I do purchase makeup, it's strictly drugstore as that's really all I can afford and their products are just as good.
I never buy makeup to support a celebrity, I just buy makeup that is good - and I do like some items from Fenty. Still have to try some REM and Rare.. Unfortunately in the EU we don’t have Haus Labs nor GXVE, I’d like to try some of those products you mentioned. I have the same thing with celebrity perfumes, never got into it, but I think mid 2000s many of those perfumes were really affordable and that made people jump on it.
I cannot say how sad i was that the Spice Girls never came out with any perfumes @ 36 I am still a fan. My dad bought me my first perfume, he is now passed so it holds extra special memories for me.. it was the Britney one in the teal/blue diamond like bottle. I still have it. She still smells great; a tad too sweet for my tastes now. When I am in Sephora I stare at JLos skincare; has ANYONE tried anything from her line?
Such a fun video! My favorite of these brands is hands down GXVE. I am older (48) so I am sure it has a lot to do with the fact that I relate more to Gwen than the other younger celebs. I have always loved her style and I adore the packaging. Her mascara is my favorite. I think I have bought from all of these brands though! Off to listen to Greener Pastures… 💚💚💚
I love the Haus Labs foundation and concealer. I really like the gxve mascara and blush duos. I love the rare beauty primer, eye primer. I like the fenty lip glosses. Haven't tried rem or about face.
I bought GXVE lipstick on your recommendation and was surprised the red was so transparent. Like, I can see the freckle on my lip through it. I don't normally where lipliner but maybe I need to with this
The makeup look is stunning, as usual. I was asking myself in another video what would you were wearing as eye makeup…and here it is. With your permission, I am going to try to copy your look. Many thanks for your inspiration, Angie.
I would love to see a celeb makeup artist’s brands GRWM. I really like Josie Marian’s brand as a celebrity brand. I would love to try Harry Styles’ brand & would love to see Chelsea Wolfe do more makeup with Rituel De Fille.
I think what was most encouraging was when you said was REM is doing well! It is hard to believe that not everything pushed on youtube is the wish of all people! 😳🤔😊👍 It is hardly bragged about and yet the company is doing well? I am happy about that there is people out there that like what they like! 👏👏👏
I have the Fenty eaze drop but it isn't the right shade for me. I bought it in the lightest shade but now i think i need 2 or 3. Oof. I also have the Haus labs foundation. I enjoy it. It looks best on me with a light layer and a sponge. My skin is more normal now and i'm in Michigan which at the moment is a cold and drier for climate. I think those are the only celebrity products i have. I want to try Rare Beauty at some point.
Hey Angie, check that jawline blend sweets! 🥰😜 I actually haven't tried any of these brands because I have been on an Indie kick, but I think 2024 will be the year. Especially GXVE and Rare Beauty, maybe Fenty? Well I did try Flower Beauty this year, foundation (meh), Light Illusion powder and both concealers which were all great!
I don't mind celebrity makeup brands I love variety in the market. Fenty has really unique lipstick colors I can't find a dupe for example. Even r.e.m is coming up with interesting products.
I like a few things from Fenty and Rare Beauty, like the highlighters. I think Fenty do good complexion products especially with their shade range. I wasn’t a fan of REM though, the packaging was cheap. Haus labs seems to be a big hit, they are expensive for me but I would like to try the lip crayon and concealer and maybe the pink highlighter at some point. I loved the Fenty cookie clay mask and the lip balm, and Rare Beauty powder highlight as eyeshadow.
Girl, I turn 40 on saturday... my first ever perfume was actually Naomi Campbell's scent and I remember that here in Poland first celebrity perfume was Gabriela Sabatini's - the tennis player
Love haus labs foundation and concealer, rare beauty's bronzer and bought a few things from GXVE beauty which i am excited to try for the first time❤❤❤
I don’t mind celebrity makeup brands. Some celeb brands I like, some I don’t, but there’s something for everybody! I want to try more Haus labs stuff but I’m still mad from when they did their rebrand and discontinued my all time favorite liquid eyeliner… so being salty has prevented me from trying any of her new stuff even though a lot of it looks great. 😂😂😂😂
I really want to try GXVE but in the Netherlands we can not get it. 😢 i really like the eyeshadow palette from Kylie cosmetics x Stassie i use it so much for the lighter colors to Highlight my inner corner etc. I also really like the highlighters from REM Beauty
We will definitely love to see more videos like this. Angie, what do you think about brands like JLo, Kylie J? And no, we don’t need a line from Adele 🙊
A layer of nothingness…😂 Right now I’m not so much about the makeup….but I’m all about the fragrances! I have so much makeup and I feel like the new is not very different from the old. 🤭 But I love fragrance and enjoy all the new there. 😊 Happy Thanksgiving Angie 💛
The lady Gaga and Amazon launch made sense in theory. Amazon wanted to get a beauty buyer audience and someone like lady Gaga would be perfect for a celebrity brand bc she is known for her makeup. But the products they did release from the initial launch were underwhelming and some people were not willing to buy bc it was being sold by Amazon. So it eventually flopped there. I have noticed that celebrity/influencer/ makeup artist brands that launch at Sephora first tend to do better. I’m not if that’s because Sephora is consider more prestigious in people’s mind or because Sephora is more available around the world than say Ulta. I don’t mind the rise of celebrity fragrances but I do wish they were cheaper and easier to test in stores. When the last celeb perfume boom happened it was when I was in middle school and maybe it was just me but they didn’t seem that expensive. Now Harry styles and Beyoncé are trying to sell perfumes for $100 and I have no way to test them. I get inflation but I wish they were cheaper.
Celebrity perfumes are still around. Ariana Grande Cloud , Billie Eylish has a couple . Britney Spears just announced a new one recently, correct? Flower Beauty and Living Proof were some of the first celebrity brands I remember.
I just realized that I never bought any celebrity makeup... Somehow nothing really cough my eye. I guess if I had to pick one thing I'd buy a red lipstick from Gwen Stefani - it would be nostalgic :)
i never heard Greener Pastures until now. i liked it, so thank you! 🧡 (i'm not american, not swedish, it's wasn't that popular in my country) p.s. as i know, Jessie J does her makeup herself. i would try makeup products from her 💗 and yes, video with mua's brands 👍 Flower beauty video, pls ! 💮
I love your videos so much…I heard a lot talked about Victoria Beckham beauty brand (she hase perfums also 😂) and I like Honest beauty, Jessica Alba brand. Thanks for all your video ❤
Had to pause to listen to the song 🥰 excited for the rest of the video and your thoughts ☺️ Random question/note: have you heard about the Swedish „tourist ad campaign“ bc they‘re fed up being mixed up with the Swiss? I really had to laugh when I read about it, but haven’t seen the ads yet 😊 (for sure they did a much better job as when I was a very annoyed teen yeeeaaaars ago and broke it down to soft-po*** and blond vs chocolates, mountains and cheese 🤣🤦♀️🤣 well yeah, IKEA wasn’t a thing back then 😂 but no matter how deeply I love you - I‘m still convinced that „bäredräck“ aka „bear dirt/sh**“ is the most correct term for licorice 😇🤣) Wishing you a lovely evening with your amazing husband and pets! (And of course - enjoy all the candy you like, bc „friends can always agree to disagree“ 😉) Sending love and hugs from „pseudo Sweden“ 😁
I don't use anything from celebrity brands, but it seems Fenty is the most successful. If I was to use a celebrity brand, it would be either Fenty or Haus Labs.
A thought just crossed my mind - I would like to know if You benefit from me not skipping the ads. If you do, I will watch 😊, but otherwise I'll keep skipping 🙃. Thank You for the entertaining, interesting and thoughtprovocing content. You made me by colorfull eyeshadow as a 53 year old and I have very rarely used makeup before watching you. Hilsen fra København ❤
Be careful not to kick that Selenator hornets nest Angie! Every time you mentioned Selena Gomez I was like oh-oh, they’re gonna come for her. As you know, you mention them and boom: they appear! Then they cancel. They’re everywhere and we’re all helpless to their power! 😂
Just bc you are a celebrity doesn't mean garantee business success. Ppl don't buy sh*t makeup. Erika Jane collab w Too Faced, Paris Hilton, J Lo, kendal Jenner w Estee Lauder are primary examples of meh products produced for cash grabs. I doubt that they even use their own products themselves. Fenty done so well is bc Rihanna actually uses these products to make sure they are decent for the rest of us to use. 😅
I’m definitely going to sound very “get over it” here, but I’ll never buy anything from R.E.M. because of the donut licking incident. I’ve tried a lip product or 2 from Rare: the liquid balm thing was awful, and the “dewy lip balm” was straight up matte LIPSTICK. Oh well - live and learn.
I NEVER buy from Amazon. Avoid at all costs. I do buy from eBay sometimes, like maybe once a year, like I just ordered some nail display racks and such. I tried local and other larger stores but, no luck.
I think that the packaging quality from r.e.m. beauty is very cheap and for the Price not Worth it. That is why I like rare beauty and fenty beauty because same Price range and better looking packaging and quality
I actually really enjoy the metal components of r.e.m. and for most products they are the cheaper option to Rare & Fenty, especially Fenty is the more expensive option by several dollars in most products :)
I would love to see the same video but with MUA’s beauty brands😊 Thank for the video, Angelica!

Gxve lipsticks is very decent > one of my favorite formulas > it's just a good as Natasha Denona or Tom Ford.
Same here. Got a blush duo, highlighter and another lip. Dang good dealio
Blush and bronzer duo for me. I couldn’t pass up the 50% as I’ve always had my eye on them

Elizabeth Taylor launched her first perfume in 1987 so I blame her for the perfume clouds of the 90s lol
I was just thinking about White Diamonds! Elizabeth Taylor, IMO, had the monopoly on celebrity perfumes for a while.
Good old White Diamonds…
"These have always brought me luck..." 😄😄😄
Celebrity makeup and fragrance goes way back to early early film days with the early sirens
Sofia Lorentz (Sophia Loren) launched her fragrance "Sophia" in 1981 💜

I really want to try GXVE but in the Netherlands we can not get it. 😢 i really like the eyeshadow palette from Kylie cosmetics x Stassie i use it so much for the lighter colors to Highlight my inner corner etc. I also really like the highlighters from REM Beauty
Hey Angie. You didn't finish blending your foundation into your neck area. Are we friends now? 😂😂😂😂😂 I love Angie. 😅❤😊
We will definitely love to see more videos like this.
Angie, what do you think about brands like JLo, Kylie J? And no, we don’t need a line from Adele 🙊
Not makeup, but if Zendaya came out with a line of products for curly hair I'd be about it.
A layer of nothingness…😂
Right now I’m not so much about the makeup….but I’m all about the fragrances!
I have so much makeup and I feel like the new is not very different from the old. 🤭
But I love fragrance and enjoy all the new there. 😊
Happy Thanksgiving Angie 💛
I looove this eyelook!
Good morning Angie! 😊
Would love a video with mua:s brands! 👍
Back in the late 80s my friend had a fragrance by Cher. I totally forgot about that!
i never heard Greener Pastures until now. i liked it, so thank you! 🧡
(i'm not american, not swedish, it's wasn't that popular in my country)
p.s. as i know, Jessie J does her makeup herself. i would try makeup products from her 💗
and yes, video with mua's brands 👍
Flower beauty video, pls ! 💮
LMAO at the editor’s 😑
I love your videos so much…I heard a lot talked about Victoria Beckham beauty brand (she hase perfums also 😂) and I like Honest beauty, Jessica Alba brand. Thanks for all your video ❤
Had to pause to listen to the song 🥰 excited for the rest of the video and your thoughts ☺️
Random question/note: have you heard about the Swedish „tourist ad campaign“ bc they‘re fed up being mixed up with the Swiss? I really had to laugh when I read about it, but haven’t seen the ads yet 😊 (for sure they did a much better job as when I was a very annoyed teen yeeeaaaars ago and broke it down to soft-po*** and blond vs chocolates, mountains and cheese 🤣🤦♀️🤣 well yeah, IKEA wasn’t a thing back then 😂 but no matter how deeply I love you - I‘m still convinced that „bäredräck“ aka „bear dirt/sh**“ is the most correct term for licorice 😇🤣)
Wishing you a lovely evening with your amazing husband and pets! (And of course - enjoy all the candy you like, bc „friends can always agree to disagree“ 😉)
Sending love and hugs from „pseudo Sweden“ 😁
Drew Barrymore still has her fans, but with her behavior during the writer’s strike, I’m not sure she is still beloved.
Do you have any VK palettes from RCMA?
RARE BEAUTY should have a collab with her bestie, TAYLOR SWIFT for an eyeliner and red lipstick
Rihanna/ Fenty ❤
What celebrity is attached to Fenty?
Yes Celebrity perfume 😊 I had Beyonce 😁
I like the Dominique cosmetics eyebrow pencil...it's really good in my opinion 😂❤ dont know if you would count her as a "celebrity" 😂
They do benefit us if you watch them yes, but if they’re long and boring skip them 🙈😜
Be careful not to kick that Selenator hornets nest Angie! Every time you mentioned Selena Gomez I was like oh-oh, they’re gonna come for her. As you know, you mention them and boom: they appear! Then they cancel. They’re everywhere and we’re all helpless to their power! 😂
😂😂😂
I was a die hard britney perfume girl and im almost 40 and still wear jessica simpsons fancy perfume 😅😅
Good morning beautiful 😍 Angie
I think fenty, rare and flower are the only beauty brands I care about. 🤔
I NEVER buy from Amazon. Avoid at all costs. I do buy from eBay sometimes, like maybe once a year, like I just ordered some nail display racks and such. I tried local and other larger stores but, no luck.
Beyoncé has just released a new fragrance. Yeah that probably means celebrity fragrances are back.
❤❤❤❤
✨💗✨
I think that the packaging quality from r.e.m. beauty is very cheap and for the Price not Worth it. That is why I like rare beauty and fenty beauty because same Price range and better looking packaging and quality
I actually really enjoy the metal components of r.e.m. and for most products they are the cheaper option to Rare & Fenty, especially Fenty is the more expensive option by several dollars in most products :)
❤️💜❤️💜❤️
💜💚💙
😊🫶
