      I think we should also get other side of the story. I felt deep condolences for her, but there could be many situation where being a boss your focus on results and missed to see how individuals feels. I think we all must discuss with HR is things are crossing limits or leave the job. Job is not precious than life.

A contract is useless if it is not drafted according to the law of the land. in labour law, it is mentioned clearly you cannot work more the 48 hr a week. read the law before commenting on this kind of complicated issue.

But, bosses torture for extra unpaid hours & this trauma hours obviously not mentioned in any kind of corporate job agreement. Your kind of mindset are promoting slavery, unlawful & unethical corporate culture...

    My own daughter had to quit her job in IT sector due to long working hours and excessive workload. Corporates drink the blood of new employees who are overloaded with work and underpaid. When health started deteriorating, she had to quit.

    Very sad & shocking. Thanks to the mother, despite her greatest loss, is trying to save every other's daughters. God bless her for such a noble thought amidst her loss. Yes, corporate lifestyle in our country with bad roads, crowded public transport drains out our energy for every one of us. We cannot shy away from this fact. Secondly, the office hours should strictly close at 8 hours in any slot. Thirdly, one should invest in nutritious food to sustain your at any job. Youngsters tend to not eat on time Or they skip food or eat poorly. Weekends sat & sun a, must break for all.

    My daughter is working in a corporate company. I have seen her stress and anxiety. She can't resign as she is in a bond and have to pay two lakhs if she resigns. But seeing her stress I asked her to resign and said somehow I'll manage the amount. Now she is going to resign.

    कॉरपोरेट कल्चर ऐसा ही होता है। मेरे काम को कभी भी एप्रीसिएशन नहीं मिला था और मेरे काम को दूसरे को देकर उसे अप्रिशिएशन दिया जाता था और मुझे मेंटली हरास किया जाता था। इस बात पर VP और मैनेजर से बहस होने के बाद मैंने जॉब छोड़ दिया था और कंपनी ने मुझे ब्लैकलिस्ट कर दिया था। आज सारे पांच साल हो गया है मुझे कोई कंपनी इंटरव्यू के लिए नहीं बुलाया है। तो क्या मैंने तो सुसाइड नहीं कर लिया है

    I am in IT sector for past 12 years...Something that I have learned...you should know how say No to your Boss when he gives unrealistic timelines...Even that means lower performance ratings...Otherwise you will struggle a lot...I have seen many guys leaving the company due Bad Managers...In Early years of my career , in a company I was working...there it was culture that if you are leaving by 7 pm means it was very early...9pm and 10 pm was Normal..many ppl worked till 2 am or 3am. and then it was expected that you come to office by 10 am -11 am...Health and family are very important in life apart from ur work..we should remember that...

    Very toxic working culture, bahut ghatiya hai, maine 12 saal kaam karne ke baad chhod diya, 40 saal ki age cross karne ke baad corporate me survival aur bhi mushkil ho jata hai

      In corporates, managers/team leads ( both male & female) go for hourly smoking breaks outside office. In 9 hours they all take 9-10 breaks of atleast 25 minutes each. 9X25= 225 minutes smoking break per day. 1125 minutes smoking brake in 5 days. The time spent on gossiping & boss's balls licking is not included in this calculation.

    Never work 70 hours for body shop companies. There is no pride in that, if you work for 70 hours make sure it is for building something not for some client sitting in US/Europe. Do not accept 2 lakh offer for even 8 hr/day job. It is slavery, not job.

    I totally feel her situations since my 5 yrs of toxic corporate culture but I am lucky now that I had controlled on my mind and took long leave from my work and staying in my village for mental peace. But at one side I helped myself then at other side I also created problem for me because i belong from middle class family , where all these thinking won't listen or understand until there child won't gonna do some suicidal steps. Till now I still mentally fought n get pressurized from my family n relatives to get back on work but i keep ignore them n working on my mental peace.
    Pray for me , let see how long I m gonna bear them or handle them 😅😅😢😢❤❤.

    It was most unfortunate that someone as young as Anna had to pay with her life for some un- feeling, inhuman manager who couldn't care less. Today we have corporate Zars for whom employees are just like slaves. With so few jobs available every one has to work extended hours and not say a word. Thanks to Mr. Narayan Murthy, all should be happy to be helping the "Nation Building".
