You guys are getting away from it and disassociating yourselves. Many Algerians don't speak French just like most of Azeri youth don't speak Russian because they're not taught it in school anymore. You Algerians should make darija the official language and right it in the Maltese script.
you speak an arabic creole called darija that no one in the arab world can comprehend. Make that the official language because it's the most widely spoken.
i wouldnt say im fluent in it, but i usually get the jist of whats said, i always think our shorter words are closer to German, our longer ones to French, not sure why
Your video is very beautiful and cute, you should make another video doing it, saying that English grammar was created by the French in the ancient and middle ages, hugs.
Put it mildly the shared history of England and France, I mean the English monarchy has it roots in the anglo-normans and for many centuries the royals spoke french as their main language
That actually goes for just about every Royal family in Europe. It's kinda of strange because all European royalty is mad up if two ethnic divisions French or Germanic
Most of the countries that Alex lists in the video are countries where French is an official language. But you are right, the language is spoken in countries beyond those in the list!
So? Just because you can speak it fluently doesn’t mean everyone else can. It’s like those people saying “too easy” on a music piece meant for beginners
@Eversix86 - In fact, even if a lot of words are directly coming from Latin, some are wrongly assimilated to it, because after the hundred years war, lots of words have been Latinised. For instance, "salive" became "saliva" or "docteur" changed to "doctor", to sound less French and feel less like an invasion.
Not trying to be rude but Equatorial Guinea speaks Spanish as a main language... you're still pretty darn right, though, since a lot of Equatorial Guineans learn French as a second language because they are surrounded by French african nations.
The point is that he didn't point out how they also spoke spanish. It also used to be a Spanish colony. I'm not trying to say that French isn't an important language in Ecuatorial Guinea, just that Spanish is also very important.
@@latinito21 In my opinion????... You obviously know I never have any opinions. You obviously know I go by facts. This is obviously not my opinion. This is obviously a fact. Spanish and Italian are obviously not also in the number one rank.

In fact, the colonial language is Spanish and 90% of the population speaks it. Almost nobody speaks french or portuguese. These two languages were introduced as official for trade purposes.
OK, just a few features, French as mother tongue in France, Belgium 42%, it is 5 million, Switzerland 19%, it is 1,6 million, Canada, only Quebec, 8 million. And a little more. Normans.... The long Germanic words were supplanted by the French ones and surviving Germanic words mostly has a French/latin synonym.....
