- We love a bit of Christmas football, and in the National League that means a Boxing Day to New Year's Day double-header. For Dorking Wanderers will be hosting Oxford City before getting on the road to face the same opponents six days later.
With Oxford struggling for form at the bottom of the table, Wanderers will see both games as a must-win situation. And we suspect, City will feel exactly the same way...

I miss when I was behind on episodes, now I have to wait for them 😭😭
same, and the longggg episodes were much better
@@lebanesegooner Come and join us in the memberships, mate! We had these Oxford episodes in one mega ep, was class. I've found it great value for money, especially knowing it's literally just one guy making these Dorking episodes. Well worth it.
@@OftenTense i might have a look into it
Bobby Joe what a player. How does he not get starting? Makes an impact every time he’s on the pitch.
The enjoyable moment when you hear ‘will the is develop’ knowing full well that it’s now going to develop into something…
Another great episode
Love the keepers passion for the club what a couple of saves aswell
Oh my god… “pumping it long and hoping the talented players at the front can do something with it”… I’m a coach in the USA, born and raised in south east Kent, I coach multiple travel teams out here and this description of Oxford fits 2 of my teams to a tee!! 😂 good stuff. For some reason I’ve never really realized that’s what two of my teams do until I heard you say it.
What a keeper
I got Dorking to Premier League Champions on Football Manager 😭 Bobby-Joe is a legend on the game and IRL.
Harrison Male is unreal
BoA missed a Wenger coat opportunity with Mark struggling with his jacket zip 😂😂😂
Does Bobby-Joe Taylor have fitness issues, can't see why he doesn't start every game, always makes something happen.
Mark needs to get him a team for TST this summer. Truly a chance to change the club. Alfie, Jimmy, Pryor, Taylor, Mcshane, will cook
Who’s will cook?
We still don't know what TST is!
@@BunchOfAmateurs small sided tournament I believe in America that the winner wins 1 million dollars. Nani, Mario Balotelli, Hashtag, Ryan Reynolds team, etc. all have teams participating. Not sure how you even get into the tournament but if that was ever an option it would be dope! This year is the 2nd year they are doing it last year being the first, with a few additions helped in basketball as well. Exposure, funds, vibes. All possible with TST
Agreed that would be a great opportunity
I've only recently found 'Dorking Uncovered' and raced through the old episodes. I purposely avoided checking how they are doing this season to maintain the suspense but now I see the latest iepisode is from Christmas 2023. Perhaps it's a stupid question but why the massive delay?
There are numerous reasons for us having a gap between the start of the season and the start of the show. Firstly, it’s helpful for us to know what the future holds when making episodes. When telling the story of the season we like to set up and pay off stuff that will happen later in the show, and not include bits that will prove irrelevant.
Secondly, we need time to get the show together. We shoot a lot of footage and have to edit a ton of stuff. This is a two-man production in the main, (one person on each show) so we have to turn around episodes incredibly quickly. Unlike Sunderland Til I Die and All Or Nothing, which come out 12-24 months after the start of their respective seasons, we are much, much closer to the event. Despite not having 30-40 people in our production crew.
And thirdly, it’s way better for the clubs we are shooting for us to not be current. We’re treading a fine line by showing what’s going on behind closed doors, and keeping all parties happy is something we are very sensitive about. Therefore, allowing them time to move on before we show what happened makes it easier on the coaches and players.
And finally, we are telling the story of HOW a scoreline happened more than the score itself. Unless we achieved the impossible and screened this documentary live, we are always going to be after the game. So it makes no real difference if it’s 1 week or 3 months - the show should still be interesting if we’ve done our job correctly.
@@BunchOfAmateurs wonderful answer! fascinating.
The way Marc shouts at the ref😂
Great Job Rich 👏
Great game, I always said that teams play total football in 'Orange' l
It’s a comment. Good luck for the trip to Wealdstone!
He’s a great player!!!
Write on the white board turn on mic
what a save that is at the end , pele gordon banks vibes . such a shame they scored from it
Collective What? 16:43
More atmosphere in the Etihad.
Matt Briggs is edging
Have Dorking Wanderers ever signed a black or Asian player?
Yes, many. All time leading goal scorer, Sami El Abd and the sub keeper in the next episode for example.
Is Briggs a competition winner? Jesus wept
used to be their best player from what ive seen
Easily the best winger we’ve ever seen in non-league, if you watch seasons 1 and 2 you’ll see that. We’re really hoping he gets over his injuries for next season.
Fully fit he’s the best player at dorking and he’d be one of the best players in the league he’s just been dogged with injuries recently and every-time he’s gotten close to fitness he’s been unlucky and gotten injured again.
echo what others have said briggs looked like no ne could get near him when fully fit and in form , its a shame to see him struggling , i assume he doesnt fully trust his body yet which is understandable with the amount he has broken down but fingers crossed for him he gets back cos he is a cracking player
The doctors discovered an issue with his hamstring that they have fixed. So fingers crossed he's going to be back on it next season.
That was, in fact, not a foul
how does Briggs start ahead of Bobby Joe Taylor, doesn't make sense
High av got a prosthetic leg half a arm and one eye . Looking for a trial am good in the air at corners.
Cancer joke wasnt cool
We respect your right to not like jokes!
@@BunchOfAmateurs that was a bit over the top. Love the content but that was in poor form, simple as. Comparing someone to warrick Davis, hilarious. This not so much. Just my opinion.
We have to put up with "I love the content but... XXXX" quite a bit, as if that makes any other opinion more valid. And of course, you're entitled to your opinion. But you've made a great point there - we had two complaints about the Warwick Davies joke, so should we not have told that one? Even though you liked it and they didn't? Where do we draw the line - whose offense metre is the most valid?
Our most offensive joke (about Paul Walker in a Porsche) is the one that people have quoted at me in public the most. So were we wrong to include that because some people didn't like it as much as some people did?
It's not poor form, simple or otherwise - you just don't like it. That's cool, we respect your right to be offended or whatever, but that won't change how we do things, because this isn't made by committee.
