@@mzrzradin I really like the Ultra Hybrid this year... maybe because it's a smaller size than the S20 Ultra one I tested last year. Feels really nice. The Hybris S is basically the same case but with a stand on :)
With the tough armor, you don't have to remove the tough shell to put the phone in. It's perfectly easy to pop the phone in with it on. You only have to remove it if you need to replace or fix the kickstand if it comes out. Also, with the kickstand it has TWO angles. There's the one you used and then you can simply flip the phone around to where the bottom speakers are facing to your left and you get that shallower angle you talked about in the video.
Subscribed immediately, covers (no pun intended) every aspect on the cases, unlike other reviews. I got all I needed from this. I have been using liquid crystal cases from spigen and I do agree that their smooth backs offer better grip than so called grip cases.
I always watch your videos to put me to sleep. I'm not saying that your videos are boring, they're great! Maybe I just find your voice really calming. Keep up the good work!
I have the thin fit for the S21U and really like it since the S21U is a big heavy phone and the thin fit doesn't add much additional bulk at all. The big thing you didn't mention though is that there are small bubbles in the corners to provide some drop protection.
Ah I didn't spot those on the Thing Fit - thanks for pointing that out! The reason I downgraded in size from my S20 Ultra to a standard S21 is because the S20 Ultra was just too heavy to hold for long periods of time.
Hey Have a Question Would you say that the Thin Fit also protects the phone enough? So maybe falls from chest height or something? I've just received mine and I don't really know if the device survives higher falls with the case because it's also a hard case and I have no idea, so I'm just asking you Have a nice day!
I'd caution against the liquid crystals if yellowing bothers you a lot. I had the liquid crystal glitter one and it yellowed pretty bad with barely a month of normal use.
Your video is very informative. From the Amazon reviews, I see that the stand of the Hybrid S is broken. Is the stand part strong enough? Also, do you notice any ridges on the stand part when you are using it? Message from Japan.
Hi there, thanks for watching! I'm still using my Hybrid S and the stand is still working fine! Perhaps people aren't taking care of their phone/case if they broke it.
You should also try the ArmadilloTek, Supcase, Poetic, UAG, and OtterBox cases for the S21. Especially the OtterBox cases such as the Defender Pro, that case is pretty much the most protective and most durable that you're ever going to use.
25:00 never used a case with a kickstand always found a samsung tv remote the best stand lol I have just got the liquid air was using a chinese clear tpu case as i pre ordered the phone and was not alot of choice back then it started to go a bit yellow and id rather have a coloured case to hide my sat nav magnet really the clear tpu defo more grippy though but yea this looks better hoping the grippy pattern on the back doesnt eventually get full of grime maybe thats why its not so grippy i had another case that was grippy that literally had all the dust stuck to it within seconds of its first wear..this is defo better option lol the neo hybrid reminds me of an old HTC phone lol looks bit dated to me
Thanks very much! It did get warm on the first update but the second one it seems to have calmed down a lot since the Feb update. There's also an app called "Thermal Guardian" which someone commented about which allows you to set a thermal threshold for the CPU which is quite cool.
@@AndroidAddicts I have the S21 , and have had no issues with heat. Although i did update it as soon as i got it last week. Yes , It will get warm gaming , charging, but that's any phone really. It does not get any hotter then my S10 i traded. Highly recommend the s21, and the 256g for only 50 bucks more is a no brainer in my opinion.
I had the Hybrid S on my Gaalxy S8 many years ago and it did go yellow in the end. I'm currently using it on my S21 (still) and they do now state they're 'anti yellowing' (which I can't remember if they did for the S8) so I guess time will tell.
Hi, how much bulk would you say the Tough Armor adds to the phone? As that particular case appeals to me but not if it feels cumbersome to hold. Thanks
It does add the most bulk out of all the cases I've tried but that's really what you're getting it for - for the ultimate protection. If you have an S21 it's still useable but noticeably chunky - it'd be a lot more cumbersome on the Ultra
Cool video, thanks. I got the ultra hybrid matt black, I think it'll look cool on the white S22 ultra cause of the black camera modules and black s-pen. I'm also not a big fan of the silver colour that goes around the white phone so the black will cover most of it.
I had no issues with my factory-installed screen protector. You might have issues if you have a glass one installed or install one yourself which isn't in the exact correct location
I just noticed that out of all the spigen s21 cases you had here, only the core armor and the slim armor essential s have the military grade drop tested badge on their boxes. I mean i have the tough armor on my s21 but it doesn't have that badge on its box..
I also think that its worth noting which spigen cases in the current line up have completed a mil grade drop test. Which there are only three. The cheapest is core armor. Then the expensive ones are the slim armor (not CS) and the slim armor essential s. I think it might help in the deciding factor in which case to buy. For my second case. I want either the core armor badly but it is currently OOS so i might go with the slim armor..
Thanks for the comparison. I bought neo hybrid but didnt like it because its bulky on the edges. Can you sort these cases thinnest to bulkiest? I am planning to buy something balances thickness and protection.
Hi @Android Addicts, can you provide a link where you bought the spigen s21 5g core armor? I can't find it anywhere on spigen's website. Makes me wonder where you bought yours for this vid. Hehe
I bought it from ebay as it wasn't available anywhere else 😂 www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Galaxy-S21-S21-Plus-S21-Ultra-Case-Spigen-Core-Armor-Protective-Cover-/193854530257?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 sadly it appears to be out of stock at the moment...
Would only get one and i'm having a hard time choosing between the core armor and the neo hybrid. Would not get the tough armor as the back of the case has a smooth texture meaning it will get scratches in time..
Which is your favourite Spigen case? Mine is the Hybrid S which I'm now using on my S21 😎👍

ultra hybrid!
Rugged Armor 👍🏼

Nice, thanks for the tip! I will try that with the kickstand next time I get a Tough Armor (I sold and posted it off yesterday!)

Thanks a lot.
Glad you liked it!

his voice totally reminds me of Atomic Shrimp, could listen to it for hours ;)
I always like the neo hybrid. Had it twice for my s8 and i feel its a good balance between protection and aesthetics

Which one is the grippiest of all? (not clear case)
Rugged Armor or Liquid Air ? Which one offers more protection

I have just got the liquid air was using a chinese clear tpu case as i pre ordered the phone and was not alot of choice back then it started to go a bit yellow and id rather have a coloured case to hide my sat nav magnet really
the clear tpu defo more grippy though but yea this looks better
hoping the grippy pattern on the back doesnt eventually get full of grime maybe thats why its not so grippy

Haha that TV remote is a genius idea 😂👍 Guess you can't really carry the remote around in your pocket all day though 😉😅

Does the tough armor screen protector friendly? Thinking of using this case with screen protector....
I had no issues with my factory-installed screen protector. You might have issues if you have a glass one installed or install one yourself which isn't in the exact correct location
If you want a different angle for the kickstand, why not turn the case upside down?
the ones with a kick stand, you can use them on both sides in case you want a different angle.
Now, do you prefer the hybrid s or the samsung clear standing case?
I've got the Hybrid S on 👍 Overall I actually preferred the stand as it's easier to quickly 'get out'

Does the clear cases become yellow after few weeks, because that destroys their purpose
Not after weeks no. I did have a Spigen on my S8 which went yellow after a few years though

It's a tough choice between those two. I think I prefer the Core Armor personally and it is a bit cheaper too
yeah that was my first choice too. But when i saw the neo hybrid in your video, it grew on me 😅 but thanks for your opinion though

I'd say the Core Armor or Rugged Armor have a good balance at not adding too much to the phone but still keeping it well protected
my favorite is the tough armor and liquid crystal
I really like the Tough Armor too, it looks better than in previous years 👍
Woooow
