- This challenge was pretty tough? Mostly confusing because I didn't want to wander too far away from the den in fear I'd get lost? So, I chose an area in Lost River that I'd be familiar with.
Which ended up being near the ranch. But I know my way around Lost River a little bit since I've been playing a lot on the map for about a year now.
The cougars were probably one of the worst ones in this video. They sneak up and then make a run for a pup, thankfully my mate Melbec was able to fend them off.
Forgot to mention that I also turned on mate permadeath for the challenge to make sure it was a little bit more realistic and challenging to know that my mate could possibly die as well.
I was surprised that no pups got sick though.
Anyway thanks for ya request, I had a lot of fun making this one. :D

sometimes the pups invite you to a chase and you can chase them, its my favorite thing to do with my pups

Yeah, I've had it happen to me a lot in multiplayer.
Sometimes pups do play chase with you. They usually start by running toward you while you're walking/running.
I usually entertain their game and walk around a bit with them and I'll playbow to them if they catch up to me.

the yearling challenge:
story: a yearling has been stuck alone with (insert how many pups there are) and has to now raise them.
rules: be female, smallest possible, all perks -2, no age perks except fun parent, no mate unless you want to pretend there your sibling.
optional rules: hardest difficulty, iron wolf, den/map. and mostly everything else.

The wind ambiance and bird sounds are really nice compared to the music. And accurate too. It can get really windy in the rockies and the birds are actually birds that live in yellowstone np! Cool details that go pretty unnoticed. I love doing realism roleplay wise, but I never realized how playing it this way could actually make the gameplay so realistic. I will definitely be trying this out soon

I haven’t done the realistic challenge, but I am pretty good at watching my mates body language, sometimes she’ll sniff or her tail will go up, so I’ll send the pups in, then my suspicion is confirmed when the predator warning shows up.
Bro PLEASE tell us how you found Melbec. Literally the mate of my dreams (and only ever in my dreams 😭)
As somebody who also loves Wolfquest and enjoys watching challenges, I find this video so cool!! I'm seriously confused why this person doesn't have more subscribers, I was expecting 15k Atleast!

Everyone who does these crazy challenges are really brave. My anxiety won't let me raise a litter on easy ;-;. Also, you hit the mate jackpot in every video, and I don't know how. Good job and keep making content!

🤓actually HUD is more realistic than no HUD because a wolf can tell how injured it is / how tired it is

Must play on LR(since it has more shade
Can only be awake at night
Must raise pups in/around the mine
Must sleep in the mine
Can only go the rendezvous site when pups are at 19.9 lbs at night

I think that when your wolf dies, you can play as ur mate if still alive. Just a cool idea for the devs.

Hi Kayaui! I have a challenge idea for you! It’s basically called the ultra ironwolf challenge. In a way it’s kind of similar to this challenge but I’ll just say the rules.
Ultra Ironwolf Challenge Rules:
Must be played on accurate
You have to create a new wolf for this and set all stats to -2
No HUD
No Map
Must be played in ironwolf
You cannot take age perks when you age up
I’m going to add a lil extra rule since I know you like challenges Kayaui…no scent view either😏

I actually didn’t know that mates circle around when a predator is going to attack?? I should really keep that in mind, I don’t pay enough attention to my mates lol
Most of the times I’m very vigilant when im with the pups though so yea, still a good thing to keep in mind cause sometimes I can’t spot them
I play wolfquest a lot too.
I have senses that tell me when a predator is coming after 2 years of frequent wolfquest 😭😭 I’m a bit too addicted to it I’m afraid
I'm doing a challenge right now that I've called "sickly ironwolf". I'll modify it a bit since you're so good at challenges
• -3 all stats (age 8+)
• no scent view
• no sprint
• limited biting (only for one tick of damage)
• sleep before wakefulness gets to 0%

Could you do where you are in accurate but can only use your nose so u can only stay in sent view and only be able to hunt Elk plz on Amayst mountain

I love this. I think you should try something harder though, try not to go into scent view! It would make it EVEN harder, since a real wolf wouldn't have that type of view
I had to kill a cougar because it tried to keep going back to my pups

Rules:

You can only go out at night and if out in day you can use fall damage to lose health “from the sun”.
You have to sleep as soon as you join the game and as soon as pups are born.
You can only eat carcasses up to 50% and you must eat small animals whole
Pups also take damage from the sun.
That’s it! I understand if it takes a while to make bc the rules are complicated and stuff lol.

Could you start showing each pup aged up at the end? I’m always so curious to see what their coats look like when they’re older :)

11:12 Hi there, I have a question: how do you have/get a mate that will help going out to mark and patrol territories more often?
I had a mate that does that before, he usually goes out on his own when his hunger drops around 60, but is there any mate that would just causally go out to patrol without having their hunger drops ? Just curious since that would be really helpful since I'm a bit lazy to mark lol 😂 I usually don't leave den except need to hunt.
Btw I watched your other video about how to choose a good mate, really helpful :>
Focus on the energetic/lazy personality of dispersals when you're out looking for a mate.
Dispersals that run around a lot are energetic; and they help with marking territory, help locate missing pups, help feed pups, etc.
Also pay attention to social and loner axis as well, loners tend to go out a lot more on their own. Loners don't emote as often as social wolves, so you will probably have to emote them the most.
Social dispersals emote a lot more compared to loner dispersals but they DO still go out and mark; they will just whine at you and ask you to leave with them.
The more energetic your mate is, the more likely they will help out with your pups and your territory.
So just focus on looking for dispersals that run around a lot during courtship, the more they run and walk around, the more likely they are to be energetic.
Energetic mates are your best friends. If you have a lazy mate, they will barely help with anything.

It's called "Discovering Slough Creek (Fingerstyle)"
It's a part of the WolfQuest Original Soundtrack & Music Extras. I took it out from the files and added it into the video. I'm not sure if it plays in-game.
