Thanks for covering this solution. We use Airtable quite a bit at my job and I’m thinking this is a much better way to have our users interact with the data vs what we do today which is add them as Contributors. Airtable makes it far too easy for people to add other users to our bases thereby causing our user count to increase without my knowledge. As well, the interfaces it appears I can build with Softr *and* have our users interact with the data means we could reduce our Airtable user count next renewal time. I think it’d be more cost effective to pay for a few Builders and Contributors in Airtable but then everyone else gets access via Softr.

      That strategy can certainly work!
It all comes down to who you need accessing the information, and what they need to do with the data they have access to.
It does add another technical layer of management and may force you to add a few extra fields to your airtable tables, but the tradeoff is well worth it if you have hundreds or thousands of people accessing it.
Good luck, thank you for the thoughtful comment & happy building!

Yeah. I’m pretty sure every company has way more Airtable users than they need. I too am going to try softr to accomplish work orders and inventory management outside of Airtable but still use the back end. Thanks for the video!
