In this video, we are going to explore some basic functionalities of NVivo. This will help you perform your first analysis as a beginner. I will be using Nvivo 14 which is the current version of the software. In this video, we are going to go through 7 steps including:

Thank you very much for this tutorial. I have been trying to avoid doing qualitative research, and I am now in my third and final year of research. I was advised yesterday to conduct a semi-structured interview and that has sent me into a panic. I have no idea how NVivo works. I attended a workshop on NVivo once, and got lost in the tutorial halfway through. I am not excel competent either. So I am now really stressed as to how to analyse my data using these tools. Thank you for making it a bit clearer for me. I know I will come back to it after I have collected my data. Thanks once again.

Yes you can. But make sure you name your focus groups differently from regular transcripts.
