I have a 99 2.5 currently not on the road 😢 I need tires and coolant but the feeling when driving this NA flat six mid engine Porsche is priceless! Patience is a virtue & Porsches are a priceless passion👍
My E36 M3 gave me 137,000 miles. Ran ten sets of tires thru it (track days). A friend totaled it while I was in a deposition! One battery, one water pump.
We should be perhaps be thankful for the blown out of proportion. It is the only thing that I can think of that has kept the prices down. A nice example is an absolute pleasure to own and drive.
Nope... not "the most affordable mid-engine car". That would be the Toyota MR2/MRS... I know from experience 😊 That said, I luv my 02, 3.2 liter, six speed, 986 Porsche Boxster S with Fabspeed Exhaust, CAI, catless headers, IPD Plenum/TB, Bilstein performance shocks, H&R lowering springs Numeric shifter, BBS Sport Classic rims etc... I like it MORE than my heavily modified MR-2. There is no substitute! 😄
Owned mine for 24 yrs now, 99 model , built in Stuttgart nov 98! Gets better every yr! Awesome car!

I still have my 1997 Boxster and she still runs like a champ with 117K miles... it is an AWESOME car
My 2004 Boxster is now over 150,400 miles. Bought it at Penske Porsche in OH as a CPO with 25K on the clock. My 3rd and most reliable Porsche.
That’s awesome you’ve kept and driven It for so long. I can relate! I bought my M3 back in 2006 and still enjoy it!! Will never sell it❤

Tasteful mods on 986!
Windshield is not shared with the 996 / 991. It's a shorter / shallower screen unique to the 986.
Thanks for the info!
Six calipers????? I don't think so.
no, you dont, you need a 981
981 are very special indeed!
