This update in my opinion was both good and needed, one of the main reasons why I quit Deepwoken was due to the game's defensive options making the game stale. Most fights would instantly go into neutral after one engagement which prioritized a "spam" playstyle (this made fights boring). Although there are more nerfs which should be done to further push Deepwoken into a better direction, this is definitely a good start. The next issue that needs to be tackled though is RNG, specifically with how high roll equipment is managed. And adding a relic that buffs the pip isn't a solution, that's far from that.
Isn't nerfing dodges going to motivate more players to abuse the lack of defensive options and braindead mantra-based builds? I don't see how it would help the current combat state of deep
Nerfing defensive options means hp and phys kits are even more of an requirement now. but devs will literally do anything but nerf equipment or fortitude lol

Think the fact that they nerfed dodging before they nerfed the ridiculous amount of tankiness you can get in the game is crazy. Makes the game even more reliant on grinding god roll 600hp 40 phys kits and having reinforced armor because they wanna nerf defensive mechanics instead of defensive stats and the damage you can get while being tanky asf has zero tradeoff. I think this nerf would be fine with other big changes to defense overall
also a lot of the defense issue is them nerfing very strong but still somewhat reasonable weapons instead of buffing things that are being forgotten and falling behind its kind of weird especially because the frame nerfs are something most players will just adjust to so they kind of unintentionally gutted leaf in the wind harder than butterfly

Nerfing the only defensive options before nerfing the overly spammed and overturned offensive options is gonna be hell for a couple of weeks.

It depends on what build you want to run. Since agility is at a all time low now, charisma is actually a viable option now
