The thing is when you're the face of the American Olympics, your face is everywhere. You don't need to like gymnastics to know her. As long as he had a phone and access to a tv or internet, he would have seen her face plastered everywhere. Gymnastics and track and field stars are heavily covered throughout the Olympics. Also, the fact that he knew about Gaby Douglas and cheered for her shows he had somewhat of an interest in gymnastics.
@crystanick2697 You clearly lack reading comprehension. You don't have to give a damn who she is but during the Olympics, her face was everywhere even in cereal boxes lol. So yeah unless he was disconnected from the internet, he would have seen or heard her name. Same way he knew about Gaby Douglas.

@@Ben2bwild The 2020 Olympics that got canceled while he was busy trying to make a NFL team. Bigger things to worry about. Also he knew about Gabby Douglas in 2012. It's sad to see badly people want to call someone out about nothing and interject negativity into their marriage which is hopefully positive, at least positive enough for them to take those vows.
I get it, but I do find it interesting that an athlete doesn't know about one of the biggest olympians for the US. Also to the argument that people don't know gymnastics, so they wouldn't know Simone. No one watches golf or tennis, but people know Tiger Woods and Serena and Venus Williams.

Well he did say “I always feel MEN is the catch”. So clearly he has a misogynistic way of thinking…but whatever. Everyone should think they’re a catch. Also the clips people are talking about are the one where he said he thought he was the prize which I don’t blame him for because for men if woman is always messaging first and driving to see you you’d think you’re the prize and the other clip is where he says didn’t know who she was, which you can choose to believe or not is up to you, but since you mentioned these sports pods then I’ll assume you know what Ryan Clarke said which was basically saying just because he didn’t know her as an athlete that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love her as the woman she is.
It’s also interesting because you said watched the pod then you should also know he spent the majority of the pod talking about how instrumental she was in his success… and how she spoke life into him, how individual, joint and premarital therapy helped them both, how rough it was watching her not feel herself at the last Olympics.
I watched the ENTIRE video in it's Entirety 😊 and the only good thing he said about his wife, Simone Biles is that she is a great cook. Maybe, just maybe you should watch the entire video. People are acting as if Black women are the only ones commenting about this interview, WRONG, the general public is commenting about this video. I wish their marriage the best and maybe they should keep their business private??❤
Right I’ve seen different race and both genders having something to say
Let em live. I’m just happy to see successful black people actually seeking out other black people for love for a change
I finally watched what he said and a lot of sad lonely bitter people blew this way out of proportion
He never said anything wrong AND he was talking about how he felt in the beginning…
If you don’t see the problem, I am afraid you are the problem. All of sudden, every body got to be bitter for pointing out the red flags in Jonathan

One of the few common sense takes about this situation that’s been blown out of proportion
I didn't know of SImone Biles until literally this year sooooo
U American ?
@@blackpinkblinkfam7197 yes. I’m really not interested in any sports and if I hear of the Olympics I’m just like “cool🤷🏾♀️” but I never look into it. I think I heard of Simone bc she was treated unfairly or sumn & as a black person it made me tune in bc I wasn’t even aware that there was a black woman dominating the Olympics world. Same thing with that black track star whose name I forgot.
He’s feels like he’s the catch because she chased him and made him feel as such. He has no choice but to prop himself up and feel like he’s above her. That’s the type of dynamic that she created & wants to be attached to. I would personally want my man to uplift me, especially in public. But best wishes to them both❤️
This!
thats why i had to take a break from social media. too many people care about the wrong things
This is why I rocks with you Dee!!!!
The interview was being messssssssy lmao he did it. Then gone say, why did this turn negative 😂, because of you!
I feel the exact same way. If it's not something I'm interested in, I have no idea who they are. These people going off on him, and her for supporting him are ridiculous
People on Twitter don’t like to see a black woman happy with a black man. 🤷🏾♂️
Why do people have to be bitter and bad bodied cause of how they interpret what he said😂 when people say things publicly the internet forms opinions so I don’t see how this is any different. It came off (to some) like he was trying to downplay her and knock her down a few pegs. Obviously you don’t have to view it like that and they appear to be happy together
They formed harsh, overly judgmental, negative opinions about their marriage and his character based on a short clip when they don't know him IRL. So yes, I'd say that's bitter. It's very ignorant and miserable to project so much hate about someone else's happiness based on your own assumptions and biases. Simone is beaming with joy in that clip so she's clearly happy with her man, but no, people want to ruin that because they're BITTER
@@mannynanny7172 as someone who doesn’t care all that much, I also see how what he said rubbed people the wrong way. Hateful people are going to be hateful but labeling everyone who side eyed his comments as bitter isn’t much better than belittling his character from a short clip. People don’t know how to agree to disagree and feel the need to degrade anyone with a different perspective. But yes, I agree it’s not fair to draw conclusions about their marriage from anything on the internet, let alone a clip
@@g0ld3ngirl111 1. she didn't use the word "everyone", so why are you? 2. there's a big difference between "side eyeing" his comments and just downright being harsh by saying he's a f-boy, he doesn't love her, he's a terrible husband, etc. It's clear as day those are the people she was referencing. Calling people who do this bitter is an accurate assessment, how on earth is calling them bitter comparable to them bashing this guy's marriage and his character? You're not making a lick of sense, I fear 😂
@@mannynanny7172 I guess I’m just not seeing comments that are that harsh. Most of what I’ve seen is people saying either he’s lying or they don’t know who he is/he should humble himself. That’s why I found Dee’s assessment so harsh because I haven’t see all the “he’s an F-boy they should divorce” discourse so calling everybody ugly and bitter seemed extreme
Forming an opinion isn’t the same as forming a narrative
people are so miserable! I don’t think there is anything wrong with him feeling he is the catch. IMO i feel like men n women both feel like their the catch in some way, but in this situation people think that just because simone is more popular of the 2 that it makes her the catch. Which can be true! She was there with him during the whole interview if thats how he remembers the story n she didn’t have a problem with it then let it go. But us black folk need to get a grip and not stop tryna live our lives through these celebs and our kind majority black woman been dragging this situation literally. Saying he didn’t love her or he with her for the clout etc like cmon we doing to much when it comes to these celebs.
im glad i wasnt the only one who thought this was blown out of proportion. its ns to simon biles but her name doesnt ring bells like a beyonce or nicki minaj or rihanna. also raya the dating app isnt just for famous people its for wealthy people as well.
THANK YOU!! They doin ENTIRELY too much. This is all they talking bout on tic toc. They sitting up all live all day having round table discussion about this. Like stfu.
I got cussed out by my dad and brothers for not knowing who Travis Kelce was before he and Taylor Swift got together. I don’t know nothing about sports and who plays what🤷🏽♀️. So he may be telling the truth, he probably didn’t know who she was.
Why do ppl get so angry when you don’t know a celebrity, it’s ridiculous to me
Can't miss a video of yours even if it's Christmas ❤
Dee you are so hilarious and you are so real. Keep going with these videos and you are beautiful.
she sot her shot and gone after what was a catch to her (drove to go see him) ,.
most women are afraid to shoot their shots , thats why they mad
i think bc of her accolades , people are angry for him to say he's a catch ....
he said " i always believe MEN are the catch" and EVERY MEN THINK LIKE THAT, thats a fact
i watched the whole pod and she was cheesing the whole time, the sister is happy and im happy for them
I dont understand how chicks want Provider, but think the provider aint the catch
You definitely speaking facts Dee, people are miserable and don’t have any dating experiences at all. For one they can’t keep or stay in a relationship for nothing in the world, and projecting their own taurm and bad relationships problems onto others. They’re still married and happy plus she was cheesing hard all through the interview. Their happily married and the outsiders are mad and miserable 😂😂😂 they still winning in the end
He had tweets from 2012 were he was shaming this one gymnast so HE DID know.
Merry Christmas and Happy Kwanzaa
I'm happy they're happy. Everybody is out here trying to tear them down but they're doing something that works for them. They found happiness in each other and I wish them nothing but blessings and success.
They were joking, people are so miserable they don't even recognize playful banter
In this instance, he was the catch. He controlled the access to the relationship
I saw something about this on my RUclips fyp, didnt get to watch it but now I know. Thanks Dee.
Dee was PREACHING!!!! And I had to fucking stand and clap!
I don’t think he meant any harm by what he said and in THEIR relationship he was treated and courted as “the prize”. But would I ever allow a man who’s only famous enough to be on this podcast bc he’s married to me to tell the world that? No lol
Women do it all the time tho? What’s the difference? Besides he’s clearly joking around.
@@TheIcemanthomas if I wanted a woman I’d date a woman lol. I like a cadence that compliments mine…not identical to it.

Peoples issues with what he said make zero sense. And btw u don’t allow anyone to say anything. A man/ woman will say what they please. Especially if it’s the truth to that person. Being famous ain’t got anything to do with it.
Stop. You can have a phone and all that other crap you listed and still not know or give a damn who she was.
@crystanick2697 he's also an athlete that I'm pretty sure follows sports pages like espn. So yeah you have to be dumb to believe he never knew or heard her name.
@@Ben2bwild The 2020 Olympics that got canceled while he was busy trying to make a NFL team. Bigger things to worry about. Also he knew about Gabby Douglas in 2012. Simone Biles wasn't on that team or in those Olympics so he may not have known who she was. She agreed that he was enough of a catch to agree to be his wife just like he thinks enough of her to want her to be his way. It's sad to see badly people want to call someone out about nothing and interject negativity into their marriage which is hopefully positive, at least positive enough for them to take those vows.
"American" Olympics? The IOC and Greece would like to have a word...😅the Summer Olympics haven't been held in the US since 1996!
I get it, but I do find it interesting that an athlete doesn't know about one of the biggest olympians for the US. Also to the argument that people don't know gymnastics, so they wouldn't know Simone. No one watches golf or tennis, but people know Tiger Woods and Serena and Venus Williams.
I deadass don't know who Venus Williams is so I'm a prime example

I believe him I didn't know who Simone biles was until today. you learn something new everyday.
What irritates me is people always bring up past tweets. I can do a whole project on a famous person and months down the line someone will bring the name/face up and it's possible I won't be able to pinpoint exactly who they are. It's normal to be forgetful about people you read about or only see on TV every now and again - especially if you give them half your attention
7:00 well no. He said he thinks all men are the catch. From the you can certainly infer that he’s talking about in a relationship. I’m certain it’s a societal standard for men to court women.
A standard that was created not one that is a forgone fact or conclusion. It doesn’t HAVE to be that way. We CHOOSE for it to be that way.
Well he did say “I always feel MEN is the catch”. So clearly he has a misogynistic way of thinking…but whatever. Everyone should think they’re a catch. People are too riled up in regards to something that has nothing to do with them. Anything someone says, or does, is an issue for social media & a cause for a debate. Meanwhile, they don’t know these people’s day to day. 😴
How is saying men are the catch, women hating?
I agree with Dee 💯💯💯💯
He even said after that. Being out with her he sees how famous she is and he was inspired by how she deals with her fans and the constant pressure of popularity

I don’t see why people even care. This is their relationship hehe let me see what Dee gotta say though.
And he WAS the catch. She dmed HIM. Ppl acting like being famous is the only requirement of being a catch☠️
And the interviewer was the BIGGEST instigator. He’s the only one that needs to be apologizing (to the couple only.)
I don’t know if you saw it but he actually was watching the Olympics. His old tweets got resurfaced. I don’t think this is about hating it’s just a blatant red flag that he’s lying about not knowing her. But Simone is happy so it doesn’t really matter

8:52 Dee was spitting facts. Its a womans job to get the best man she can. Men dont care about a woman career, money, or how many people know her. Men care about how she looks, her character, and if she actually like him or not. If she was the prize that would mean she would pick up any bum off the street and would be happy with him, which in general most woman wont do. They want someone who can have any woman he wants but wants her and makes her feel special.
That’s not necessarily true though. Some men do care about what a woman has though and what she can provide as well. Men also wants someone they can build with.
@@smilealwaysnatasha3423yeah some men do but most men don’t. There’s a reason why you’ll see more successful men dating unsuccessful women than vice versa
