I heard this for the first time when I was on hold with the doctor after my daughter Leah had passed away. I truly believe today it was a God thing. She passed away in 2000 and I was on hold and this song came on.
Richard Marx said in his greatest hits album that this song came about when he was served by a stewardess on a plane named Angelia. He said that the extent of their relationship was that she served him a ginger ale, but he said he had a song just about written, but there he didn’t have a name in it yet. He said he knew he wanted it to be a woman’s name, and it needed to be 4 syllables, and Angelia did the trick. He said he also knew she must have been new because she was happy and smiling.
I love this song, so many good memories back in 1989 when I was living in Beach Haven NJ. My neighbor's daughter name was Angelia and she used to flirt with me by opening the blinds on the second floor window. Beautiful redhead lady, as she wanted to learn Spanish and I wanted to master my English. We used to hung out every other day at the ocean and tell stories that until now I am so happyly married to this beautiful Australian redhead Angelia...
Richard has never sang a bad song ever his the best singer ever play his music every day and night ❤️❤️❤️. Love you Richard. As a friend I'm in love to the love of my life 49 years September 27 2024
Wrong you wrote but you never told my why,,, but ,,,,,,,,he sing she never told me why''''''''''''' that's what I heard from the original vocal ...... but after that all are good 👍 by the way I am Central American and my language is Spanish Castilian but I love this music
I heard that Richard Marx was a big fan of the group Def Leppard and became friends with Phil Collen(guitarist)!! In some ways, this song sounds similar to Def Leppard's title track of their monstrous CD Hysteria, and here's the kicker. Marx visited Collen in his studio and saw a copy of Marx's CD Repeat Offender!!
Indeed this song touch my heart and I'm really going to cover this song!!!❤❤❤
