Aaron I want you to know that your videos were a huge factor in me accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior and becoming a Christian. The issues I was dealing with were suicidal thoughts, horrible insomnia, anxiety, and depression. Over the past couple months by surrendering my life to Christ, and by your helpful videos, I no longer have suicidal thoughts, my depression and anxiety are almost completely gone, and I get much better sleep. I do still struggle to a much less degree sometimes with sleeping problems and the tiredness which follows, but I no longer fear when it happens, because my trust in God has deepened. Thank you for your work in this ministry.

The enemy is a bully, but if we let go and let God, we aren't giving demonic forces the power over us. The enemy doesn't have the fuel anymore. It truly teaches us trust. When I slow down and focus on Gods promises for me today I’m okay.. and learning to die to my old self and live to Christ has been helpful. It does get better, stay strong and focus on Him even when it seems impossible.. believe me, it is possible. He is enough, and He loves you so much.
I suffered with this as well throughout high school, college and post college. Up until last 6 months or so (I’m 33). I talked to my doctor and he did put me on a medication. I hold the pill in my hand every morning thank Yahuah for the doctors and medication and ALWAYS ask Him to show me how I can be a true disciple of His and how to surrender my life to Him. And ever since I surrendered the remote control of my life to God, I started experiencing immense peace and joy! It’s important to live in the present and trust that God will see you through any challenge because we put out trust in the maker of heaven and earth!
I believe I am protecting myself because of fear about a situation. I’m terrified of what is going on and what is going to happen in a family situation. Some days I trust in God’s promises and have a measure of peace. Other days, like today, I’m having severe anxiety about it because today is the day that I plan to make myself vulnerable in the situation and I’m afraid. Praying that those involved will be understanding and that there will be healing and restoration.
All you need to do is do what you believe God wants you to do and then leave all the consequences to Him. Surrender all your cares to Him and trust Him with them all. I recommend you also watch a video I made called: It's not your problem. God bless you.
i am passed convinced at this point, my issue is trying to get closer to god thats where i always experience the most trouble. my father is atheist and he always tells me all of it is BS and if i cant see that im blind n delusional. i fought him for 18 years but seeing how things go im leaning toward he was right and is Right....i tried everything i begged n pleaded....its not in me to accept 80 percent pain n bull6hit and maybe 15 percent good i gotta section off cause i go back n forth with god, on n off, hot n cold it feel like im in a abusive relationship ENUFFS ENUFF. what if my dad know wat he talkin!? cause thats what it look like, its all Bs aint no promise or nothin!! and its just RANDOM. I cant even ask for peace or strength within i gotta work for it MYSELF that should temm me alot.

Hello Aaron, I liked and really appreciate the video. However, I’m still confused by the overall message. If someone is suffering from insomnia, for example, isn’t it fine to completely surrender to God and try to do things to combat the situation like taking medication, breathing exercises, etc? If someone is sick, shouldn’t they still try to get help? Thx.
In my opinion, insomnia isn't something you can overcome by fighting. It is like quicksand, the more you fight it the worse it gets. A sickness like heartburn for example, by all means, change your diet or take medication; however, insomnia isn't usually a physical sickness (it can be), but in the mind. Surrender and trust in the Lord is what I found to be most effective in overcoming insomnia. However, the beautiful thing about learning to overcome insomnia by surrendering and trusting in the Lord is that you can overcome all other things in life by surrendering, trusting, and resting in Jesus.
What do someone do about the symptoms they feel daily with anxiety. For example chest pain, burning... What do you speak out loud when dealing with symptoms?

I can’t tell you what to do, but I can give you some of my general thoughts. This video title is referring to idols that we are trying to protect instead of surrendering it and trusting God with it. We need to have our bodies and health surrendered to God; however, He expects us to take reasonable measures to take care of the bodies He has given us.
Good question. When I was not able to sleep, I would usually get out of bed and either go read the Bible or pray until I got sleepy or 30 minutes to an hour had gone by. Then, I would go back to bed. And if I still couldn't sleep, I would do the same thing. Although it is rare, I still do this whenever I can't sleep for whatever reason. I know it may feel difficult, but it can become a blessed and quality time with the Lord Jesus.
