- A Texas A&M Women's Basketball Coach is facing criticism after social media drew questions surrounding whether or not her game-day attire was "appropriate."
After posting this game day outfit, Player Development Coach and Assistant Recruiting Coordinator Sydney Carter has been the target of ridiculous and frankly unwarranted questions.
Justin Harris apparently had an issue with Syndey's outfit, posing the question, "Is this appropriate."
His question sparked a debate about the former National Champion's choice of attire. Some people even said she was a distraction on the court, adding that it's not her job to " look good."
But it never ends in negativity, right? Since then, the post has gained over 77-thousand likes, and Carter has received several positive messages to cancel out all the hate.
Sydney Carter from Texas A&M spoke with Roland during Friday's edition of #RolandMartinUnfiltered about the insane controversy surrounding her courtside attire.

Well first they were honoring breast cancer , so i dont know if she wears alot of different things normally, but this was for a cause. The girls have some pink on as well. It wasn’t the color really it was the tightness and material ….. like it was a going out outfit to them .coaches usually don’t dress not even an inkling like she did on the sideline.

Their complaint was that my wearing nicer clothes was a way of showing off that I was making more money than them. This was ludicrous! Nothing was further from the truth. I was wearing nicer clothes for three reasons. 1) I didn't see any reason why a manager shouldn't dress a step-up from other workers, so that they are more easily identified by customers, should their assistance be needed. I mean, think about it, how many times have all of you scanned a store for the person who was dressed more business-like, when you were in need of speaking with a manager? 2) I bought all of those clothes when I was a Bridal Specialist in an upscale boutique, not with my increased earnings. 3) They were my F-in clothes! I wear them when I want to!
It's not like I was working less or not as hard. I was still sitting on floors while stocking lower shelves. And even when my blazer got caught on the box rollers and ripped the pocket, guess what. . . I took it off and went right back to unloading those hundreds of boxes from a stuffed-to-the-gills 53' foot truck!
She looks great. They are only complaining because of her amazing body. These folks are always criticizing black women for their curvy bodies, but go behind and go pay for it and enhance theirs to look like us. Whatever. 🙄
Why did he ask the question in the first place and complain when it got attention?
We black women have had enough - he would not ask if she was white. Some men have a problem with us no matter what we do. She is appropriately dressed and is working. Perhaps they want her in a bonnet and jogging set (they would still complain); let the woman do her job in peace instead of coming to answer for what outfit she is wearing what about talking about her job/career.
It’s really sad that our bodies just can’t exist. And to spark what should be a nonissue within is tragic.
Exactly. I don’t understand it. It was absolutely nothing wrong with her outfit. I wish people like that guy who tweeted that, just shut the hell up.
I said the same thing on Twitter and it really irritated me how people were criticizing her and I said it's because of her body and her shape if it was any other person they wouldn't have said anything and you know what I mean

like i said on twitter, it's too bad that guy never matured beyond the age of 13, and is incapable of relating to adult women, except as sexual objects. Professionals wear all kinds of clothing to work. tight and loose. deal with it. Coach looked amazing in that like she does in everything else.
