the internet essentially makes it so that it will never be truly acceptable again, since 2008 or so anyone can voice their offense just about anywhere in the world 24/7/365. it used to be if you were mad about something like this you just stewed, and people just kind of lived with it. but now that you can almost literally chat up the writers of the 'offensive' content people can ceaselessly complain, and get rewarded/supported/recognition for being offended.

It's funny because I was too young to know all those brands and such first time I ever saw it and didn't register it as not real. Few years later I watched it and recognized what they were saying and died laughing.

The tagline in the trailer did say "Lines will be crossed" and the director said "we're not pulling punches" which is the kind of movie I like to see.

When it comes to comedy either everyone's a target or no one's a target. It's satire. They know it is. They know it's just a joke. What they can't stand is it's a joke at their expense that's actually funny. See, if the joke wouldn't have been relevant they'd have laughed and mocked it, no real issue with it's existence because it had fallen flat and they could call whoever wrote it stupid and lame. But people found it funny so now they gotta piss themselves in faux outrage.
