I deeply appreciate your sharing of knowledge and wisdom. The Nakshatras have fed Soma to my Mgrishirsha Mercury. I feel you have given me something that goes beyond a birth chart but a narrative that forms a complete whole, a circle like Purnavasu / Aditi - I want to get a star reader on my phone and start spinning tales of the Vedic Gods as I point to them to my children. You have created a legacy Victorachaya - thank you!

Amazing content, Vic! Only a learned person of various subjects can connect all these dots and present it in such a compact yet with so much of richness in it.
I take not just lessons on nakshatras from your videos, but also see psychological symbols more clearly, and more than often times, it has helped me in accepting myself and people more, and also in my profession on how to deal with different situations.
This is definitely not something that one may learn one part, and is done with it. It’s complex and beautiful in it’s entirety and almost like a fractal- you explore one thing- and there’s other 100 things inside it waiting to be explored. How beautiful!
Also, I love how it points to such a whole number of variety, that I want to learn more and more of it.
    Definitely buying your book!:D

This structured way of categorizing the Nakshatras enables one to see them in their greater picture, like and eagle from above.
It is so beautiful that (when started from Ashwini) the Nakshatra towards the "end" started from Shravana accelerate their speed of movement Chara, Chara, Chara, than being severe, like a deepening process, Ugra, fixating that with Dhruva and in Revati finally Mridu and that's it. Life.
Also, amazing, Vic!: the dark and quiete setting of your surrounding together with this tranquilly soul-penetrating music, add to the very mysterious touch of the topic of Jotish. It is like carefully steping into the darkness with your light, Vic. Shani and Surya domain. Thank you for your memorable videos!

Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us. I’ve never heard it broken down as such, but was looking for information on how nakshatras relate to other nakshatras in a similar fashion of how planets relate to each other (such as Saturn and Venus being good friends, but Saturn and sun are not so much). This helps explain a great deal. I shall now go look at your other lessons as this is quite brilliant. Namaste

I would say my favourite Nakshatras are:
    1. Uttara Ashadha (Sun dominant): Bhishma's nakshatra.
    2. Rohini (Moon dominant): Krishna's nakshatra.
    3. Dhanistha (Mars dominant): Kalki's nakshatra.
    4. Uttara Bhadrapada (Saturn dominant): Padmavati, wife of Kalki, nakshatra,
5.. Uttara Phalguni (Sun dominant): Arjuna's nakshatra.
    6. Punarvasu (Jupiter dominant): Rama's nakshatra.
    7. Pushya (Saturn dominant): Sita's nakshatra.
    8. Purva Ashadha (Venus dominant): Vyasa's nakshatra.
    9. Shravana (Moon dominant); Balarama's nakshatra,
    10. Hasta (Moon dominant); No examples at the moment. Swami Vivekananda had this nakshatra.
    11. Kritthika (Sun dominant); Asvathama's nakshatra.
    12. Mrigashirsha (Mars dominant); Karna and Parashurama's nakshatra.
I am a Uttara Ashadha male and in grade 7, my Social teacher was a Uttara Bhadrapada male and my Science teacher, a Uttara Phalguni female. As well as my Math teacher being a Rohini male.

This information is worth its weight in gold. Thank you!
Just one thing though... I have a special connection to Varuna (my Venus is in Shatabhisha and my Moon is in Anuradha). I feel like it is unfair to Varuna to characterize him only as the god of downfall. Varuna was the original Narayana... and his downfall was only in the eyes of the people who decided that another god had supplanted him. Over time he became associated with the nighttime waters below the earth, but he was originally understood to be god of celestial oceans both above and below. And he remains as such, but is hidden. Hiddenness does imply something underneath, but it also implies being behind something. In my view Varuna remains as a hidden cosmic being, and if his movement is downward, in its purest form is about descending numinosity, not merely downfall.

On the Astro Bytes channel there is a video titled Nakshatra Ganas. The astrologer explains the movement patterns of each nakshatra. He explains that Shatabishakt moves upward. You've indicated a downward motion. Are these 2 patterns referring to the same aspect or quality of the nakshatra or are they different characteristics altogether? For example, he also says that Vishaka moves downward. Jyestha moves straight or forward, and so on for each nakshatra. Your teaching style is quite elegant and eloquent. This information feels essential to understanding the heart of Vedic astrology.

Great video. I feel like this combines temperament + quality (ex: cardinal, mutable, fixed) in a way. It's interesting how stuff is grouped too....Enduring with Sweet, Strong with Bitter and the like. I wonder if the more "mixed" nakshatras would relate better to the overall group than a more extreme Nakshatra (like Uttara Bhadrapedra and being "fixed" vs Uttara Phalguni which is more mixed between Enduring and Sweet).

    • @Hari-kx2er

'Mixed' nakshatras are similar to the 'strong ' ones, but more capable of being sweet if the situation demands it. Just my interpretation.

I'm learning more about nakshatras here than anywhere else. Its a really fascinating and overlooked area.
My ascendant lord is Jupiter in the 8th in ashlesha. Does this mean I'm more defined by this Nakshatra? My old teacher gave a lot of importance to the ascendant lord.
Or is it to the far lesser extent that moon uttara Bhadrapada, sun pusya and ascendant Uttara Ashada?
Sadly i don't have much influence of sweet Nakshatras..only my SaturnR in Revati. How sweet can Saturn really be haha.
My 7th lord lord mercury in the 7th in punavasu. Interestingly my wife was a dancer!
In my spiritual life there was a long phase where everything impermanent was stripped away in a neti neti direction until there was a crisis leading to a complete dissolution of all phenomenal existence, it was terrifying at the time, but also blissful once it happened because it revealed the groundless ground which is the true permanence. The eternal, deathless being behind it all.
Once that happened there has a shift to a more inclusive approach. Like the need to strip everything bace to the essential is satisfied or something. Its interesting considering what you say about Uttara Bhadrapada.

Sun-Venus conjunction in Uttara Ashadha can make for some difficulties in matters of love because Uttara Ashadha is an odd number nakshatra (it’s sexual animal which is the Mongoose makes no pairing with any other nakshatra). Uttara Ashadha is not a very sexual nakshatra itself (unless the person has other placements in the birth chart which are very sexual like Moon or Mars in Rohini, Mrigashira, Ashlesha, Magha, Purva or Uttara Phalguni, Vishakha, Jyeshta etc.) and is very good for celibacy and a life of chastity. Is not good to perform marriage ceremonies when Sun or Moon happen to be in Uttara Ashadha nakshatra. Having your Venus in this nakshatra doesn’t necessarily mean that you will never get married or that you will never have someone special in your life, but it just indicates that that’s not the most important thing for you to experience in this lifetime

@@pedrofelipepamplona1944 Thank you so much for taking the time out to share your analysis !!!
      Really appreciate!!!
Yes it's kind of correct what you've told...
But yes i do have moon in vishakha(libra 7th house) and mars in jyeshtha(8th house)...
With 1st lord in the 8th house, life in it's entirety is quite challenging!

Excellent. Sent this video link to an individual who like the joy and newness of a new day's rising sun, he is a joyful creator type with his moon posited in Punarvasu. I like what you said about the personal style and sexy dance moves associated with this lunar mansion. Unfortunately, you didn't say much about Vishakha* & Kritikha.... ???

Hi vic. Is it accurate to use the nakshatra groupings in this video to evaluate the asc and moon relationship in your previous video? Thanks for sharing your wisdom on the nakshatras. Quite enlightening

Hi Vic! Wikipedia poinst to XVI of Brihat Jataka (Rikshasiladhyaya) as a chapter related to the Nakshatras, but when I looked, there's no "grouping" as you have it in that book. Is that grouping your own or is it in there somewhere?

Since you follow the tropical zodiac, do you use that to determine the nakshatra or the vedic sidereal calculations for the nakshatra? If so how does that work since nakshatras are meant to be tied to the decans of the moon?
