Animals are amazing. We got a Basenji/Jack Russell Terrier from the shelter, intended just as a family pet, and within 3-4 days, he had started poking me when my blood sugar started to drop, just out of nowhere. Now, we're working on his obedience training and manners so he can be my service dog outside of the house. At home, he's never failed to alert me when I need to check my blood sugar, and has started teaching his 'sister', a Redtick Coonhound/German Shorthair Pointer mix, to do the same. So now, I've got TWO of them poking me.
Anybody that has a condition like this should have a medical alert button. They are made by Great Call. You press the button and you are connected to a person who can get you help in case of an medical emergency .
What did she mean by Virginia Beach is schizophrenic? What she described sounds like she was trying to say bipolar kind behavior and I wouldn’t even call her description of it “bipolar” 😂
My two Cats: Bootsie and Ginger Girl save my life in April 2008. I had come home after being out and chatting with friends at the local Tim Horton's. I unlocked the door and had to sit down on the top of stairs to my Apt. I laid back and everything started to go black, Bootsie came out of the apt and jumped on my chest. Ginger Girl went down a few steps and yowl loudly. My neighbour, heard Ginger opened the door and saw me on the floor of the landing and called 911.
Cats often bond with one person. It's crazy but I truly believe they can make everyone else feel jealous and left out just by their sheer loyalty they show to the person they have bonded with.
Some people join a housing association because there's so many rules that people have to keep their house looking pristine making the neighborhood you live in picture perfect or you get fined. NOBODY is gonna tell me what I can and can't do, I keep my yards beautiful, but the association could tell you what you can and can't plant, what colors your allowed to paint your home etc. I made sure when I bought my house that it was NOT apart of any psyco militant association 🤣 some people like that.. i don't if that wasn't obvious enough
“You didn’t pick that cat out, he picked you out”. That’s how it is with ANY pet you adopt, whether it be a dog, cat, or even a fish. U don’t pick the pet, the pet picks u.
My dog Oryn is a Basenji/Jack Russell Terrier I got just as a pet from the shelter. A few days in, he started incessantly poking me with his nose every few hours. Initially, I just thought he wanted attention and would pet him or let him out to play etc. After one day where he was stuck to me like glue and would not stop poking me no matter what, we finally figured out what he was really up to after I passed out. I'm hypoglycemic and was just used to eating something every couple of hours, but never really tested my levels or anything since it's something I've just been living with since I was in my 20's and generally I'd just get cranky, get a blinding headache, and get shaky if I went too long without eating. Turned out that when I hit 35, something apparently changed, and I went from mild hypoglycemia to severe hypoglycemia. After getting checked out and being told I now have to test my glucose three times a day, and carry glucose tablets, wear a medalert bracelet etc, I get home, and sure enough about two hours later, Oryn starts the poking again. So, I bust out my new glucose meter and test my levels, and yep, my blood glucose level was at 57 (normal fasting glucose level is 70-100). So...now he's sort've my service dog. I do need to train him more for being out and public and whatnot before I'll take him places with me, but at home, he's like my 'eat something stoopid' alarm clock. Lol
What an amazing story. I'm so glad you and your dog got together. I think dogs probably really enjoy being service dogs because they get more interacting with their human.
Ya my cat knew I had lyme, she started to sit across the room and stare at me and freak out all night. She would always sleep next to me before that. I went to hospital right away, i was almost dead! I thought it was flu, When my fever went away she was fine, but still concerned. I will know i am ill if she avoids me again😼
Honey, there is no such thing as "Ordinary House Cats"! I believe not all angels have wings - a lot have four soft paws and fur coats. Canine or feline, they can do amazing things - just like warning you! God bless 'em!
My German shepherd alerts me to my sons seizures and he has a few different ones. Her alerts range on hey watch him to make him lay down. She has given me 20 mins notice for the fast ones and the bad ones she has given me a 2 hr warning.
Of course they cast a black dog in a white dog's role. =P In all seriousness I could not imagine being unable to do so many basic things like that first lady. That just sounds awful.
the first one is unbelivably dumb, like what?... if her blood pressure is dropping that quick she just passes out without warning how can the dog warn her, it makes 0 sense. she should feel her pressure changing before it even changes, headache, sweating/cold, tingly sensation etc. Dog has nothing to do with anything
Why do you think people with e.g. epilepsy or panick attacks from PTSD have service dogs? Because they allert their charge of attacks before they know they're coming. Dogs pick up on signals us humans can't detect without technical means.

only if they want the button some people dont. and cannot make them
Animal's are so precious👼💖
Poor lady in the first clip has Windows 98 running inside her. It's terrible to have blue death in any time without a warning.

Amazing dog. Can change from white to black and back to white lol
I noticed the dogs color change also
It's a reenactment dumbasses! Not the actual dog nor human in the reenactment
Hahaha!
I swear the way this guy is explaining how the cat loves her wife i feel sorry for him even though he said he is not jealous.

Your grass is to long? What's the heck is going on in America?

Love she can help!!!
I enjoy this video very much and I loved this video very much then
"Ordinary house cats" can be remarkable when it comes to sensing illness. My cat warns me up to 20 minutes before a seizure.
Ya my cat knew I had lyme, she started to sit across the room and stare at me and freak out all night. She would always sleep next to me before that. I went to hospital right away, i was almost dead! do dogs do the same
@@randomrazr Some dogs are able to sense when a person is going to have a epileptic seizure. They are call seizure alert dogs.

Virginia beach is rather schizophrenic? Cause that is a normal term used to describe the most basic and generic city in Virginia.
Schizophrenic or schizophrenia is a mental illnesse not how to describe a place where people live
@@cassandraflannigan7489 Yeah that is literally what I said. I'm questioning the video's statement....
Damn it who’s cutting onions lol
Awesome really. Pse Father God protect our animals in the Name of Jesus Christ
17:00 - Now that is a great guy!
I live near VA Beach and never heard that description. 🤔
How do you have such short notice on the grass issue!? And I’m confused….is Tassy black or white?
"She loves attention from everyone"
"She's a perfect service dog"

Hey kids. You're old enough to do the yard work. And i think even the husband could do it?
To be fair it sounds like the husband wasn't there and the daughter was asleep or at least had no idea what she was doing
Everyone's pet are superheroes. Not! People overexsaderate just a little.
STOP using the word "owner", we adopt them, they are not chairs. Language matters.
We're mom & dad
They are literally considered property by the law
When are u making another cheating Vegas
White or black poodle!!
