It’s a complete game changer Dan! We definitely recommend it, especially after our first experience - we are currently game planning on how to ensure we filter every batch moving forward……the clarity is unreal! 😁
Hey Mark! What apples 🍎 and/or juice 🧃 will you be using? Keep us posted on how it turns out! Your comments mean a lot to us, so thank you and cheers 🍻
Love the kiddy pool. Very cool looking filter, and I wonder how well it would do for wine or extremely foggy cider. I bet it would work, but it might take longer to push it all through the filters. I h ave a similar filter, but it is a poor man's version that uses gravity and plastic.
Hey Mike! Honestly, we got really lucky with the SuperJet.....it was a hand-me-down and we originally thought it was the MiniJet - which seemed to get a lot complaints from the community. This bigger one works great though, we have 3 types of pads with different levels of filtration and some of the juice we picked up today is fresh and unfiltered so we will be putting it to the test!
Only took us 24 batches to build up our knowledge and confidence 😁 hope you enjoyed the longer content, we even filmed it in 4K……took us 4 hours to upload it to RUclips 😂
@@CideryFromScratch Hi, some say that 3k is to good for RUclips. What was the main take away, of the 24 batches? This episode was great, full of new stuff, I think with the longer format the audience gets to know you more. Cheers
No kidding, we couldn’t notice any difference but maybe we don’t have a 4K TV haha - biggest takeaways for us were to have bigger batches ready for the super-jet filter (we are going to use the 7 gallon carboy next) and when it comes to bottling…..we are going to cool the bottles first with cold water and lower the serving pressure coming out from the keg!
@@CideryFromScratch I use about a 50 litre stainless steel pot that works on the induction cooker, can ferment in it ,then rack into 20 litre bulk plastic bags with screw tops.( carboys are very expensive down here) yea small batches are good if you just want want a drink Friday arvo, but not much good if you want to blend, fortify, play. Do the big boys chill the bottles? Sounds right. Cheers
@@Jack-It-UP no kidding on the car boys, the bigger ones keep going up in price. The pot sounds like what we want to get next, a conical fermentor - easy to empty, easy to clean, sediment stays in the bottom…..good question on what the big operations do, will be sure to ask a few of them next week at CiderCon!

I had no clue you could filter all of the yeast out. This is a game changer!!!

CiderCon is coming up already? Same place as last year?
Funny enough it’s already been one year since the previous CiderCon - every year they host it in a different city. Just like the super bowl 😝😝😝
Did I see it was in Chicago this year?
@@carolbarnard8740 yup!!! Good ole Windy City
Make cider it'll be easy they said 😂..... Jk very cool setup. Typically you don't want to run any pump dry for very long or they'll burn out just fyi
Turns out you can make it as complicated as you would like 👍🏻 thanks for the tip on the pump, that makes a lot of sense 😃 appreciate your insight
