I wish I could post the actual picture of the vegan meringue cookies I made, but I guess the recipe will have to speak for itself! 3/4 cups of aquafaba (the liquid from a 15oz low sodium chickpea can) 1/2 tsp of cream of tartar 1/2 cup of sugar (though I’m sure you could possibly use a substitute, though you may have to use more of it) 1 cup of freeze-dried strawberries (any freeze-dried fruit would probably work though) 1. Preheat oven to 200°F. Line 2 large sheet pans with parchment paper. 2. In a large bowl, beat aquafaba and cream of tartar with whisk attachment of a mixer at high speed until stiff peaks form, 5 to 12 minutes. Gradually beat in sugar. 3. In a mini food processor, pulse strawberries until finely ground, about 1 minute. Gently fold ground strawberries into aquafaba mixture. Spoon into a large zip-top plastic bag (or use a pastry piping bag). Seal bag, and cut a ¾-inch hole in one corner. Pipe mxiture into 1½-inch circles onto prepared sheet pans. Bake at 200°F until dry to the touch, 2 hours. 4. Turn oven off, leaving pans in oven. Dry meringues in closed oven 30 minutes to 1 hour. Store meringues in an airtight container for up to 3 days. This can make up to 75 meringues, so be careful! They’re delicious!

For an updated version (if you're not a strict vegan) maybe try mixing room-temperature butter and coconut oil with a touch of a more liquid oil (a small amount of flaxseed or a smaller amount of something lighter), then let it chill. If you can eat wheat, mixing it with almond flour, for example, works (you don't need as much oil, in that case). Work it until it's barely holding together, then wrap it in plastic and put it in the fridge for a while before rolling it out. When in doubt, ask grandma.

Can’t speak for a food sensitivities test but I once had an allergy test run and it came back I was allergic to everything except dogs, cats, and birds. I’m not sure I’m a believer in that test since I don’t suffer any from anything and found the reason for my hives was the chemical from the exterminator.
