did you check the trem post lock screws there are two tiny locking grub screws inside the centre of the trem posts that you need to unscrew before you can lower the trem posts

Hi Leonard ... thanks for weighing in ... that guitar is long gone ... Tom ( comment above ) is the owner. Your comment may help someone else at sometime in the future who is working on one of these. Cheers ... stay safe \m/ ! MMcC

My only thing with this is - shouldn't that retainer bar be lowered a bit? It may just be my eyes deceiving me because it's on a video, but it almost doesn't look like it's sitting tight enough to the headstock to do what it's there to do. Otherwise, this is lightyears above how any of my guitars are set up, and I'm surely not going to argue with the master himself lol. Well done!

That was done a few years ago. Tom would have said something if there was an issue .... so no news is good news... I suppose. Cheers \m/ !

So the 1st step is to set 12 fret using a saddles at the bridge and the 2nd step is to measure open strings to get a nut compensating values?

how are you getting the correct string height off first fret without using feeler gauges ? how do you know the proper depth ? im baffled ,I measure the 1st fret and add .020 with feeler guages to get it just right but your compensating and getting proper height im just amazed

You'll see on the Patreon videos, how I stack up feeler gauges to the right height.

Do you have any video explaining why the nut must be intonated when you can do so also on the bridge? Thank you.

do you intonate the saddles first and then after at the end only compensate the nut?

What would it cost for someone off the street to bring in a guitar and have that much work done??

    • @StringTechWorkstations

They was a bunch other work done to this guitar .... Pickguard / Fret dress / .... it was a while ago. I'd have to check with Tom to see what the final tally was.

After all that effort to make a perfectly pitched beautiful sounding guitar, I hope your customer plays for a church because that axe would be wasted effort if used for deth metal ¥
